I have a blanket across my bedroom door as a curtain (I leave the door open so my cats can come and go). Sooti sometimes climbs it the way OZ climbs the door frame.

I’ll bet OZ’s climbing of the door frame has the people climbing the walls!

My Nadia could leap from the floor onto the top of the door, assuming the door was open and her grip held. She was skilled. Always scored a perfect 10! Mostly.

One of Thing 2’s cats, Garth, hangs out on the tops of the doors in their house. She always has to check before closing them to make sure she doesn’t crush him. He’s very weird.

Cats aren’t the only ones who do this cool trick. In my senior year of college, the dorm where I lived had 12’ ceilings & narrow hallways. I used to chimney-climb & be up near the ceiling when my friends came around the corner…

…& I had to laugh a couple of months ago when one of my grandnieces posted a pic on the ’Gram of herself doing the same thing at summer camp. My niece said to me, “She reminds me a lot of you sometimes.” I have to wonder what my sis has been telling her about me…

I don’t think there is a bit of door trim in my home without a million scratch marks right about waist height…
