Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Tara and Luann are both in love with the idea of themselves as being Piro’s savior. They want their interests, their tactics to turn him into a well-adjusted, happy person…and that would mean that they’re very special indeed. Otherwise, why expend all this energy on someone who’s obviously insulted by being the charity case for their do-gooderism? He’s not a fun person at this stage and needs real therapy, not pushy peers.
Piro hasn’t been taking care of himself, and I’m not so sure he heard everything or knew they were talking about him. If he did, that is so tragic. It might erase everything they have achieved so far. I think there is something else bothering him, and he didn’t want to be bothered with games and fourth grade jokes.
People who want to help at any cost can be a real burden. I understand Piro’s annoyed reaction, but I feel sorry for Luann and Tara too. They sincerely want to help him, but they don’t know how to do it. Also, no matter how wrong they are, they still have more tact than Bernice. Who isn’t difficult to overcome, but it’s still something. I hope that Piro will read his text in class because I want to know what he wrote about.
Wednesday, transition, possible misdirection play. I don’t think there are enough clues to really come too a conclusions yet, except that Piro is as mysterious us usual.
A difficult but important lesson to learn: relationships are about more than a simple “secret sauce” that works 100% of the time. You have to learn to listen to them and observe and let them tell you what they need, because it changes from minute to minute depending on what’s going on in their life.
I would consider that behavior weird and creepy. No hello or I gotta go, just a mean sullen look and then an exit. What a prize. Never mind that Luann and Tara are incredibly immature and ridiculous, that’s a given for many young women, but rude is rude at any age. Boo Hoo – Poor Baby Piro. Off to conduct his pity party somewhere else. Good riddance.
I wish Piro would have at least said ‘Hey, listen, I’m just not in the mood for either of those things, okay?’ instead of walking off. And I wish GoComics would stop requiring me to sign in every day…
Piro does not seem to have any good qualities. Why would any woman be interested in spending time with him. He clearly wants to be alone, just leave him alone.
A “hello” greeting would have been nice, from anyone. The art of conversation is listening. I expected the girls to try to outdo each other, ignoring Piro’s attitude.
I’m sure Piro enjoys their company but today is NOT a good day for that. Sometimes distractions, while they can serve a good purpose, simply don’t cut it. He needs to talk it out. Or perhaps write it out in a class assignment. Or simply be left alone for a while. He clearly has bigger issues than jokes or thrill seeking can address. My heart goes out to him, having heard a little of his life story.
Tara is such a self-righteous witch. Why does Luann hang around so many miserable people? Maybe they gravitate toward her because she has the light they wish they had. But it sucks for her.
Some people who are in therapy or have issues just walk away from a trigger. Maybe he was already in a bad place today, and just wanted to go to class and not be greeted the way he was, where only Tara even addressed him ‘slightly’ with a "hey cuz’. But it was not a hello, it was part of a question. Sure it was a bit rude to just walk off, but people with emotional issues are not going to always respond in the more accepted conventional way.
About the case of the missing purse/backpack: I may be wrong, but it shows the weakness of the storyline when it can be overshadowed by the location of a purse.

Yup… Piro definitely overheard them!
Looks like he’s done being their lab rat.

Will they apologize to him?

Year, sorry Luann DeGroot, but even Luan Loud says Knock-Knock jokes are the lowest form of comedy.

Okay.
To be fair to Luann and Tara, if old Starhead didn’t want to be “bothered” WHY did he sit next to them in the FIRST place??
9thCapricorn about 1 year ago
It’s official. Piro doesn’t care for their delusional antics.
Uncle Kenny about 1 year ago
I think Piro overheard them and didn’t like being a project.

Did Y’all just forget what y’all did a day ago, when Piro was about 2 feet behind Tara.

Back to counseling. Piro wasn’t finding any consolation or solace from these two.
TwilightFaze about 1 year ago
Maybe the girls are a bit of Piro’s escape, but we don’t know what level of reality Piro is escaping FROM. Either way, he’s clearly in no mood.

These two should have a TV show: “PATRONIZING WOMEN”.
I know, why don’t you just try listening to Piro’s concern. Have patience and be a friend, not a “fixer”.

Piro is too wrapped up in his own miseries to pay attention to them, even though he must know they mean well. Plus, he is rather rude.
brick10 about 1 year ago
They sure know how to read their audience NOT.
ctolson about 1 year ago
From Piro’s look, their first comment should have been “Hey Piro what’s up?” or Hey Piro, why so glum?" Their one-up-womanship competition blew it.

I can’t seem to face up to the facts
I’m tense and nervous and I can’t relax
I can’t sleep ‘cause my bed’s on fire
Don’t touch me, I’m a real live wire
