To give her a brand — beyond “nice, normal, kind of directionless young woman” — they would have to make up “facts” about her. In truth, she’s a person who went to local public schools, hasn’t decided yet what she wants to do or what she might want in a relationship. She’s not a pop singer, and she doesn’t need a brand.
Luann is sooo not interested, but we know how Luann can suddenly become interested in things. I hope it doesn’t happen this time and Luann tells them she is not and will not ever be interested.
Okay, I am going to guess that Bern is nearby and when she hears that Luann thinks something is not a good idea then Bern will automatically be diametrically opposed to Luann and despite their way below average approach of Luann, they do get a test subject who really is in need of re branding. BTW, “Bland to Brand” is not going to get anyone interested unless they are going to volunteer a friend of theirs whom they feel has numerous “shortcomings” like Bernice.
Looks like Luann is not affected by Tiffany and Bets’ enthusiasm, for now. This is one of those things she might find really funny. Talking to Tiffany about her thoughts, doubts and dreams would be a nice reference to the discussion they had during the pool party. Also, this would be the perfect opportunity to let Bets casually discover what a horrible person Tiffany used to be and to remind to Tiffany that Stef, compare to the head cheerleader Tiffany and with Sheraton St. Louis, is just an annoying self-centered airhead.
This is, IMO, annoying from both Bets and Tiffany. I generally do not like bambooziling sales folks in any fashion, and in my frame of reference Bets and Tiffany are turning into husksters of the most unsavory style.
I do hope Luann keeps firmly saying NO! She does not need to change, and to my manner of thinking this “Branding” is rather insulting.
They’re basically offering PR work to the average person. It would be less insulting if they asked their ‘client’ what she was hoping to accomplish in the near future, if she even wants a new image.
I just noticed that it looks like Tiff is still wearing her work outfit. She was so “eager” to recruit Luann that she did not even bother to shower and put some clean clothes on..……
Reminds me of when Lucy (Peanuts) started handing out lists of people’s faults, starting with her brother – who protested. You call these faults? These aren’t faults… These are character traits!
Betts is leading Tiffany astray, just when she was almost becoming human. Betts’ shallowness, selfishness, and pitiful grasping for attention will likely make her a star corporate marketing executive some day.

From “bland to brand”? That seems insulting, yes? And, somehow, bran is inferred here, and isn’t bran bland as heck?!

Clueless and dumber and Bets, seems like Luann has finally realize that this a bad idea.

Personal branding, is conscious crafting of a person public identity. Which includes their image, their story.

Luann, tell them to go pound sand. They have no business trying to brand someone when both of them need help themselves.
To sell a business like that, you need someone who is a good example of being well branded.. someone you would want to emulate.
They need to think up a new business model. This one wont work.
