Not that many people do have a TV these days. We watch almost everything on our computer.

I’m sure A LOT of people will be watching a certain something tonight. ;)

Jay Fosgitt’s art seems like he’s channeling ‘Adventures In Odyssey’.

Who’s dream sequence is this? Toni’s or Brad’s?

This looks pretty cool, but Shannon(or Toni) is too focused on this daydream.

Jay Fosgitt’s Shannon reads like an AI human. Household robot built to be human like. Maybe Toni wishes Shannon to be a humanoid to make her life easier. In that case, she probably shouldn’t be a mom.

This is almost as bad as Gilchrist’s Nancy comic.

Has anyone ever seen an early Little Orphan Annie? She made Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm look like a curmudgeon.

Panel 3: I had to do a double take… That’s Shannon‘s elbow… but it almost looks like her pants are pulled down..

I hope G&K are enjoying their time off. It’s an opportunity to come up with some GOOD story lines!

No electronic babysitter in the house?

Toni’s imagining a child who’s a lot like her — organized and responsible. Although Toni was probably older when she lost her parents, she probably stepped up to take care of herself.

Drawing isn’t bad, but the story lines still strike out. I’m wondering if this artist will put his spin on Tiffany. She has always been such a glamorous bimbo.

Intresting. Looks like everone in th comic’s lost a finger. They’ve only got three fingers an a thumb. Must be th ring finger. Toni’s missin hers..

I like her coat. It reminds me of the Tenth Doctor, which is the one I wear.

This fantasy arc is absolutely delightful. I popped over to the illustrator’s website, he does some amazing stuff.

This has gotten so wholesome that it’s making me a bit queasy.

I stopped watching (and got rid of) television 13 years ago. I listen to public radio.

I hope people’s love of Jay’s work brings us a daily Bodie Troll strip.

How will this perfect Shannon deal with Luann?

s anybody else losing patience with this? I mean, all this arc is showing me is how delusional Toni is that she thinks she’d be such a perfect mother that Shannon would turn into a model child with no issues. Meanwhile the real problem that Jonah is leaving his troubled child with them for a month with no support is still looming.

OK we don’t have the boob tube but we have tablets and PC and streaming services galore…. so um… yea

I wish people would stop complaining. The artist stepped in and gave Greg and Karen a break, he’s illustrating a story they wrote, and he’s a good artist, it’s just a different style.

I don’t have a TV. Which means the corporate geniuses who run MLB have decided I shouldn’t be allowed to watch my local baseball teams, even if I’m willing to pay for it. You HAVE to get their cable channel to watch, local teams are blacked out from streaming, and they don’t seem to realize that lots of people don’t have a TV and that number will only increase. Brilliant.

One or two days, this was amusing. A whole week of it is aggravating and not funny in the least.

Why is she wearing an overcoat that would be more suited to January in Minnesota?

Her imagination of ideal is so lofty it just makes the reality so much more different and difficult to deal with.

A week of station duty? What planet does Greg live on?

It’s kind of insulting that Toni thinks her kid should be this way for her.

Toni has what we call an active imagination.

Is there a point to all this? Anyway, In the spirit of the debate, I’d like to ask Brad and Toni, “Mr. Degroot and Ms. Daytona, exactly what choices will you make, different from your parents’ choices, to raise a child like this?” Hey, maybe the punchline is she’s a shifty Eddie Haskel-type like TJ.

Firefighters don’t work a “week.” They work 24 hours on, 24 off, then on, then two days off, on a rotating basis. Two 24 hour days is a week’s work for everyone else.

Hmmmm, and all I was thinking about was if the wunder child is allowed to read comics. After all, wouldn’t want to waste her mind/time with frivolous stuff!

Ugh this storyline is so dumb. People are like is this Brad or Toni’s daydream. Ummm I feel like it’s the authors daydream. If Brad and Toni are this naive then they shouldn’t have kids for a while. That said I don’t think they’re that naive. This storyline screams more about the guest author than the characters themselves

My opinion of Toni is going into straight freefall mode. And to think that she was one of my favorite characters in the strip…

I’m sure it’s hard to keep coming up with storylines that hold interest, but I personally think this is another ridiculous one. Not the same comic strip that it used to be.

oh please …. let’s get back to the real Luann….. I really cannot stand this.

I’ll probably watch, but with the new rules (especially mic-muting), it probably won’t be as entertaining as Trump’s past debates with Biden and others. Just saw some clips of those last night. “You’re the puppet!”

Is it me, or is this arc just cringy.

We have a TV, but I can’t remember the last time it was turned on….maybe during the CA wildfires? We have relatives living in that area. We are readers! Over 3000 books at last count. My TV will probably outlive me.

Is this the Stepford Children?

It’s gotten to the point to where there isn’t anything worth watching on tv nowadays. The morals and integrity are far gone in movies and shows. Except, for the oldies. Westerns etc. Good story plot, No sex, blood and gore and horrible language. A kiss and a hug is all there is. That is where good acting is made or not. I just love the song and dance movies too. Or the mystery ones. Don’t even get me started on those “reality shows”. Just saying!

It’s weird to see our beloved characters drawn in another style. Nice, but more classic and with four-fingered characters. On the other hand, that hug between Toni and Shannon is so sweet, i love it! Now that Shannon is alone at home, will she continue to be perfect or will Toni imagine a disaster? Maybe a fire, skillfully doomed by little firefighter Shannon?

The birds are singing, the sun is shining, and Shannon is not a self-absorbed little twit for one more day.

Enough already. The first one or two were kinda cute, but this isn’t “Luann” in many ways and i’m tired of it.

when will the arc about Toni’s daydream of having raised the perfect child ever end. ?? If you are a parent, it’s boring … been there dreamed that .. and if you are not a parent, you don’t care

Love the new artwork. I always liked the art on this strip, and it continues to improve.

So are they just gonna tell the same “joke” 6 days in a row? We get it already Toni, Shannon sucks and your imaginary live-in servant version of her is much better. Can we move on?

I have to say that I’m digging the “Disney Princess” look. Toni here is a great caricature of my late wife. We had 46-1/2 years of an epic love story together, and this echo of her warms my heart…

Gotta love it. A kid on auto pilot. Toni has quite the fantasy of the ‘perfect kid’ doesn’t she? That doesn’t come without structured upbringing though, which isn’t a bad thing. Sure hope there’s time for Shannon2 to play and be a kid in there somewhere.

Why does this guy think that child slavery is funny? He’s depicting a child that has been raised to be a servant to her parents. Really Weird Really Creepy and an extremely damaging comment on the Toni character that Greg has created over many years. If I were Greg I would stop this immediately.

As previously stated . The sutle change in drawing style is a brilliant move . Seems somewhat familiar but do not recall where .

And, suddenly, it all makes perfect sense.

The way this story is going, by the time Toni gets back, Shannon will have discovered a cure for cancer.

What happened with LuAnn? I have no desire to follow it anymore. The artwork is poor and the story arc doesn’t follow the character development. Sad to see another good one bite the dust.

And to think, there’s apparently going to be another full week of this. I’m no fan of Shannon, but I’d rather see her as her usual bratty self than spend all her time as Toni’s personal House-Elf.
