So she’ll Flip and won’t miss being around her own father for a whole month? That doesn’t speak highly of her relationship with Jonah.

Well, I hope this all works out for Toni and Brad. Will they be able to deal with sleep deprivation and all that fun stuff? We’ll soon see! =)

The only “good” thing about saying “yes” is that you spared yourselves from having to listen the “guilt trip” Jonah would have laid on you if you had said “no.”

As for Jonah, his “acting career” might be off to a good start.

He actually “acted” surprised when you told him you’d look after his kid. ;-)

And what happens if his career does take off? They will have to have Shannon permanently. At this rate they will have to do what one couple in a similar situation had to do: emigrate several thousand miles so that they could live their own lives with their own child.

We all know comic time is different than real time, but I REALLY hope this doesn’t mean we will have to suffer the Shannon character for a month.

Jonah is more concern about is career then, he is about Shannon.

Maybe Shannon will write and draw more books.

I’m hoping this sets up a move for Jonah and Shannon that gets them out of the way so Toni and Brad can start their own family.

This extended setup is making me think Lord Hearteater is right and that this will wind up being permanent. Jonah had best watch for falling pianos, or perhaps leviathans.

Jonah should have been in sales as opposed to acting. He knows how to work it.

There is a good chance one month will become two and then four, etc…… At least Brad and Toni tricked Nancy and Frank into helping with the bait and switch yesterday; fooling Nancy and Frank into thinking for a fleeting moment they were going to be grandparents only to realize they actually agreed to help with Shannon. Now Brad and Toni did not intend a bait and switch but presumptions by Nancy and Frank made it so.

It will be a COMPLETE disaster and Jonah will stay away at least 3 months!

I wonder if Shannon acts like such a brat because, deep down, she knows she’s unloved and unwanted by anyone? Not even Toni, who is definitely not ready to be a mother—not that I hold that against her; many people are not parent material. I’d guess that Shannon was an “oops” baby, just like another brat, April Patterson.

The dad is self centered. No mention that it will change his daughter’s life as well. Shannon will get much needed love and support from her extended family.

Maybe all prospective parents should take care of a kid first to see what they’re getting into….

This NEVER turns out good. Jonah is ALWAYS " could ignite my career", but it never does. He is and always will be a deadbeat dad. BTW, just where is Shannon’s biological mother…or does Jonah know or care.

Maybe Toni and Brad can set some rules and boundaries if they will have her for a month. It seems Shannon usually just runs amok.

Jonah is a swine and should be sterilized before bringing another child into the world he cannot support and foists off on to relatives to support and care for. And every other Sperminator like him. Dilly! Dilly!

Bred asked a great question. I wonder if the couple Toni and Brad will come out of the experience stronger or broken. Or maybe there will be the big surprise that Shannon will be the one in crisis, feeling left aside by her father. However, the fact that Jonah didn’t ask her aunt for help despite the importance of this acting gig makes me wonder what kind of traumatic experiences he and Toni went through living with her.

Toni may feel good about it, but, to quote every Star Wars movie ever, I have a bad feeling about this.

Why are they acting like kid’s such a big Deal to keep Shannon a month when she already lives with them 80% of the time

This could change Jonah’s life…. in this new life does he take 100% responsibility for Shannon, or does he not have ANY time for her at all?

If this is summer vacation, I wonder how Dez’s garden is doing? Is Tiffany hosting any pool parties? Did the cheerleader go home? Has Nil been painting? Did Tara connect with her cousin? Did Luann finish a book? Hmmmm

I’m waiting to see if the “deets” Jonah refers to include reimbursement for the expenses Brad and Toni wil incur. If not, Jonah is just a sponger, along with being an irresponsible parent. I realize “it takes a village” and all that, but Jonah should still be doing his share.

Jonah reminds me of a Lamprey Eel. Once they latch on to their prey, they suck the life out of them. Unfortunately for Toni her brother is a mid talent wannabe who is off chasing rainbows and shirking his responsibilities to his child. This will continue until Toni puts her foot down and gives him a firm NO the next time he asks them to tend Shannon. Unfortunately, Shannon would suffer the consequences of doing so.

I can’t tell ya how much I’m looking forward to a WHOLE MONTH of Shannon. Well, I could tell ya but that kind of language would get me banned.

I sense an arc where Toni and Brad end up adopting Shannon . . .

Shannon must not spend that much time with T and B if a full month requires this much planning. She probably spends 2 or 3 nights at a time with T and B, maybe 2 or 3 times a month. Still a lot.

Shannon is not staying with B and T until August. We will probably have another story until then. This one has gone on 4 weeks, at least.

Well, the acting gig is the Stamos role on a Korean knockoff of “Full House,” so it may not be a WHOLE month.
