I’m surprised she mentioned the Blood Drive.. figured that idea was gone for good.

Well at least Luann appears to be taking a chance here. Will it work out? Greg will fill us in.

Sometimes the way to find the answers is to have someone ask the right questions. Let’s see if Phil’s technique helps Luann move forward.

So the blood drive has not been forgotten. The “Blank Slate” which should have been forgotten by now as being a bad idea, has not been forgotten. And Luann apparently is going to keep seeing the man of rules and structures. Sigh.

There is something about homophones that are inherently hilarious. Every time I think of two words that sound alike, but are spelled differently, it just makes me want to laugh.

Luann’s comments are good. Phil’s nerdy conversation is working better than I would have thought.

Well, he’s no Aaron Hill, but I guess he’ll do in the meantime.

I do hope Luann can find a goal she could latch on to—I’d hate for her to become another Dustin!

If he’s this controlling when he’s still trying to reel her in, he’d be much worse later. Ugh. Luann tried a date with him, it was all about how wrong he thinks she is about everything, and she should move into a friendly, non-dating relationship with him…if anything.

The dialogue on this date was so corny and so many puns…I get it’s comic but geez. At least Luann finally has a real love interest again

Yesterday he said he’d like another date. Today she says she’d like more Phil. Looks like it’s a go

Let’s hope Luann can find something that she is passionate about and that makes her happy, maybe thank to Phil, maybe thank to this event she’s planning. It’s really nice to see her happy with him, I think they will continue to see each other for many more times.

GEEZ! How come nobody complained about not seeing an attendant scoop the ice cream and taking money, and making change and cleaning tables and adjusting the muzak level and….

Referencing the Blood drive, I’m waiting to see Bernice’s reaction when LuAnn baggers her into donating as well as LuAnn herself.

Called it the first time they met. And I predict this relationship will last. This guy is perfect for Luann.

Since it seems only Brad and Toni are the only characters that can ever be happy in this comic (and I suppose Frank and Nancy) I worry that these 2 will find problems especially with their busy schedules, and will not work out due to that. But a big part of love and relationships is finding ways to make it work out so I hope that’s the lesson we see with them. I’m very excited for this relationship to develop and go somewhere !!!

Since Bernice literally had to push Luann out the door, I’m wondering if Luann has a duty/desire to fill her in on the date? I’ve read where females always share everything she learns about the guy she’s dating with her bff.

Maybe he could ‘Phil’ the slate ;)

Oh, so now he’s enthusiastic about something Luann is doing, (but only because it’s associated with what he is interested in). So glad she finally won his approval on something. I don’t like Phil at all. He is haughty and self centered, with no regard for anything that is not aligned within his own interests.

Phil has been communicating like a counselor more than a date. So far he has appeared to be trying to fix Luann’s life (while often throwing in a random compliment after he does so). Did he reveal much of anything about himself during this conversation? What are his goals? Does he have a full slate? What does he do during off hours? Has he said anything about himself that was at all personal?

You can’t see it, but my eyebrows are bouncing up and down. Hubba, hubba!

It’s refreshing to see Luann carry herself with some maturity and confidence in a potential romance. If she can discuss the situation with Bernice later and NOT regress to the mindset of a 14 year old in the process, it will be a positive sign.

World Blood Donor Day annually on June 14th. That’s 14 weeks from today.

Ah, okay, so that whole blood drive thing hasn’t been completely forgotten like we thought it was. And . . . just what exactly are Luann’s lots of interests? Because as far as I can see, aside from wanting to try her hand at creative writing, and maybe working with kids, her interests seem to mostly be doing nothing.

What is that blob at the end of the store?

Cool. This is a good development. All of a sudden, I find Luann’s character more interesting. Phil is an excellent addition to the cast.
