Aaaand here we are back in the land of politics. I understand being undecided… it’s my normal state about a lot of things. But THIS comparison is even stronger than Miller draws it, imo.

Of course some people are dumb enough to wonder what it would be like to jump into a volcano.

And then there are the voters who believe that tax cuts for the rich benefit them personally.

And lowering drug prices using negotiation is communist price fixing.

And he weighs 215 pounds.

2.5 years is far, far too much time to prepare a court case

Trump should get an additional 2.5 years to prepare a court case

The so-called January 6 insurrectionists were really BLM and AntiFa

The January 6 insurrectionists are MAGA patriots who should all be freed

Trump is a multi-billionaire

Give as much money as you can to support a multi-billionaire

Trump is the only one strong enough and capable enough to solve all of the problems

People should defend Trump, who can’t handle being picked on

Republicans are the party of law and order

Republicans should shut down the ATF, the FBI, the CIA, and override the justice system

Trump will be proven innocent

We should remove prosecutors and judges before they’re capable of proving Trump innocent

Republicans are the only Christian party

The immigrants, the poor, the homeless, and the sick are just lazy and should be run out of town in the name of Republican Jesus

What’s amazing, is how often a political figure can spout two completely contradictory views, in the same week, and sometimes in the same speech.

But which island is going to be more fun for us watching.

Back in 2004 Andy Rooney said the same thing about undecided voters. If you couldn’t choose between George W. Bush and John Kerry in five seconds you were too stupid to vote.

The problem isn’t the candidates, it’s the supporters. Looking at the candidates, it’s just as Wiley drew it. But listening to supporters tar and feather the opposition turns “undecideds” against both. That is, our attacks on tRump, as fact based as they are, sound like the same lunatic rantings as the tRumpublican’s attacks on Biden.

Yup.

If you can’t decide, you haven’t been paying attention to where the world is heading. And if you haven’t even been paying attention, I think I’d prefer that you didn’t vote.

Unfortunately today one man’s volcano is another man’s paradise

I wish the choice were that simple. I recently noted elsewhere that one choice was like a mass of black, blue, and purple buboes, while the other was a little lump you ignore until it’s you find out you’re at stage 3.

There is a clear difference between the two assumed presidential candidates from the “major” parties, but the parties as a whole are both the volcanic island. Anyone who thinks they have your best interest in mind is fooling themselves.

A choice between peace or angry hate.

These islands are too close to one another and share the same volcanic origin. The real choice is between an active volcano and a hidden one.

Some are drawn to explosive situations and some want peace and tranquility.

It only looks like that obvious of a choice to the voters who see only the results of media and justice agencies that magnify the worst of one side while covering up or minimizing the worst of the other. Been trending that way since we were told that cheating on your wife in the Oval Office was no big deal, or that Ronald Reagan was a dangerous extremist who would cause World War III.

Liberals would go for the Mountain of Bidenomics because the Liberal Media tells them too. Baaaa baaaa baaaa.

That’s the thing isn’t it? How things look from a distance….

Picture is wrong. The island with palm trees should be a 2nd volcano with red lava instead of yellow. That show the dilemma for undecided voters!

Misinformation and violence are the only weapons the Republican Party has left. Unfortunately, they seem to be working. MAGA.

While I appreciate the irony of the imagery, I actually think our choice is between two volcanos on sinking islands in the middle of a large lake in the jungle.

If voting could change anything, it would be illegal. The politicians always win.

Wiley, this is one of your best toons since I first started following you in the Det Free Press in 1994.

No, they’re both volcanoes. Or, dumpster fires would be more accurate.

This cartoon would be more accurate if it was a choice between an active volcano and an island created from a large pile of toxic waste.

If you want a proper analogy, one island is a raging volcano while the other is a festering swamp. We don’t like either choice.

Choosing between an active volcano and an Earthly paradise is easy. The real choice is between the volcano and a barren rock.

Hmm Maybe the “undecided” aren’t really. They could be appalled at both and looking for a third option, or they could figure the person asking is going to be rude and just want to be able to choose (and vote) in peace.

I notice a lot of comments above from people whose basic pitch is “there’s no difference, they’re all scoundrels.” These are people who would’ve said the same about the blue fairy vs. the evil stepsisters.

I can see her point. It’s a dumb one but it is still valid. How to get her to notice the details of the two places is the issue.
