I have a painting I’d love to hike through but not au naturel. It’s a late Fall scene.

He’d be a wiley person to do so.

Nudity will set you free…if freedom means having nothing left to lose.

Art is subjective. Did he escape into the nature or he now stuck to the wet paint?

Wiley bare.

He’ll soon discover why loin cloths are a good thing!

And if that water is from snow-capped mountains, it might be a tad cold…

And if he had taken his paint brushes and paint, he could paint up the kegs of beer and the pizzas from Wiley’s Before Eve..

Wait, did he jump out the window (note the shirt on the sill) and be re-born in his art or did he just morph into it cosmically?

I love it that the open door makes it ambiguous as to whether he’s in the painting or just running in the streets.

Anyone who wants to run naked in the mountains has never stepped barefoot on a pine cone dodging a rattle snake because he was busy scratching mosquito bites in places he should have had covered.

On a darker note: This reminds me of the old “Night Gallery” episode titled “The Escape Route.” Still haunts me, even after all these years. shudder

He should have taken his colorful clothing. It obviously doesn’t belong in the black-and-white world.

He looks like a lot of nearly naked people seen on beaches, so social distancing won’t be a problem.

Did the au natural thing one morning in the woods. Sat on a log and got a tick for my trouble. That was fun.

I always wondered what happened to Bob Ross.

It’s paramount to imagine the world we want to inhabit.

This what happens to me (and most creatives regardless of disciplines), when I get into the zone while designing or creating artwork. Although I usually keep my clothes on, remembering to eat or sleep is another thing.

Til the black flies, gnats, and mosquitoes show up.

This is an old TV show (Twilight Zone type)… this guy visits a museum daily finds that he can enter a painting of a boat in a lake (i believe). He then steals or kills someone and breaks back in to the museum in the dark to “enter” this painting and he does but what he realizes is that the museum moved the painting and he entered one of hell. anyone recall this one???

If only it were that easy.

Would love to head out like that!

Makes me wonder if Dorothy was a painter.

Wild Wild West episode, season 2 “Night of the Surreal McCoy” has Dr. Loveless creating paintings that with his machine you can go in and out of them and they are their own meta-dimensions. And he is a “pretty fair metaphysician.”

I could use a picture with those qualities. Alas, the best my similar pictures can give me is a purely mental journey.

The big question is: Can he get back Out when he gets hungry for a nice Cheese Steak?

I love this. This is what total freedom is like. There is hardly anything better than being outdoors , naked in the sunshine. One can be truly in tune with ones self. Totally sensuous.

Great comments all! of course this is a world the artist created for himself, so no hunger, no cold, no biting insects. comfy moss to sleep on and if he needs to eat there will be food… I do like the idea he needed to take his supplies with him however, because an artist is never free without some means to make art…. harold and the purple crayon is my reference.
