Tommy is awesome. He is working so hard to help Sophie. Everyone should have a BFF like him. I think Sophie knows it too.

I love how she always calls him Thomas, never Tommie.

Attaboy, Tommy! I said he had to meet Sophie where she is, and he soothed her with art and familiarity. They may not always act like BFFs, but he is a great friend to her!

My husband retired from the Army 12 years ago. We moved a lot in 16 years and each cat handled it differently. The last move was our then youngest cat’s first and only move, which was a good thing – it completely freaked her out. She either hid in any cabinet she could get opened or she would walk around the house yowling sounding like a cat in heat (she was fixed). Sadly we’ve lost all the kitties that moved across the country and across oceans. As we used to say, home is where the Army sends us.

I don’t think I’ve seen the man on the right (in Tommy’s drawing). He must be one of Tommy’s People, though.

I read that when the author Edward Lear moved he had an exact duplicate of his old house built so his cat would feel at home!

I have a framed cross stitch I embroidered that says, “Home is where the cat is.” Except for incorrect use of the singular when it should be plural, the cross stitch is correct.

The sign in my kitchen says “Home. . . where cat hair sticks to everything – but the cat.”

Tommy is such a sweetheart! But I got to admit that Puck’s charts are a bit more professional.

When I moved to Montreal from San Francisco 27 years ago, my cat Meip (now my avatar) hid under the bed for nearly 3 weeks, and she never did come to accept my husband as one of her humans even though she knew him for over 10 years. Sigh; some kitties (and people) just cannot adjust….

This may be one of the sweetest breaking cat news i’ve seen. It also shows how far Sophie and Thomas have gone from “Sophie barely caring that he exists” to him being able to get through to her in her most panicky and depressed moment in the sweetest way possible.

I think I like Tommy’s sources.

It made me sad to see Tommy here, being so sweet with Sophie, knowing he’s gone in “real” life. I’m glad he can live on here, like Lupin!

TinyKittens update: Pixie is HOME and doing great! She is expected to make a full recovery and go to her forever home with her sister Stinkerbelle soon, although we don’t know when. She has to take some medicine for the next several days – and wear a sock sweater to prevent her from scratching open her tracheotomy wound, which she’s not happy about. XD
