Surprise, surprise, surprise, as Gomer Pyle would say. Still with Gunther and Luann but there seems to be a change in mood. Eads, are they shipping Luanther for realsies?

Class is skippable? This from the guy that had to return for college. Guilty pleasures indeed.

I was not a fan of Gunther and Luann as a couple but if means keeping Bets out of the picture, I’d go for this. Luann is definitely the lesser of the two devils.

AHA! Any excuse for additional “conversuasion” time! AND planning for a follow up luncheon. Isn’t this how Gunther and Bets got started???

Do you remember when we voted on whether or not Luann finally got a date with Aaron Hill or Gunther? Some people thought that she should date Aaron but that someday she and Gunther would settle for a serious or even permanent relationship. I likely won’t be around long enough to know who will be Luann’s lifetime mate, but a college age relationship with Gunther might be in the near future.

HOLY CRAP!! Six weeks of this Luann-focused arc! This has been amazing! Such a welcome change of pace from the non-stop dorm drama!

It looks like Tiffany’s uniform was exchanged for a more comfortable fit?

This has possibilities, but I doubt it.

Bets shows up feeling jilted that Gunny is getting cozy with his first crush and drama will ensue? I mean, as contrived as that’d be (given she booted his behind out of Ruby and he was delighting in her losing some social media clout) it’d at least be more exciting than the pool party that never happened.

I kinda hoped the Evanses were past the Gunther and Luann pairing. I’d like for Luann to get actually good new storylines… but dating Gunther? After all we’ve seen about how he acted when push came to shove with not stepping up for his girlfriend during the gulag thing? All I’ll say is Quill was easily the better option.

Also Tiffany sure loves playing Gunther’s wing-woman, it’s cute though a little awkward given she had amusing chemistry with Gunther (pre-wussy “scared of big mommy” storyline). First Bets, but now she’s playing Cupid for him and her arch-nemesis/frenemy, Luann?

Listen, please. There is NO chemistry between these two.

I don’t know if Tiffany has a nefarious plan or not, but I would like to see her take a picture of those two and post it to the internet. I would then like to see Bets see it and come rushing back to claim her man.

Tiffany really loves being Cupid with the couples. Probably she often do things like this at the Cafe using her role as a waitress. She’s such a romantic girl. It’s nice to see that her strategy works and Luann and Gunther decide to continue their friendly meeting. Gunther needs to talk with someone he feels he can talk to without being judged. I hope Tiffany continues to hang around them and I wonder what Bernice will think of this.

Well, as expected, Tiff makes her way to the table, despite the fact that Ox was their “server.”

Now if Gun and Lu REALLY wanted to start the “Gossip Mill” grinding, they’d tell Tiff to make that dessert to “go,” retreat to Gunther’s room at the Gulag, and pick up where they left off back in early 2019 before that “date-pics” nonsense and Bets showed up.

And NOW would be a PERFECT time because:

1) Noxious Les will be at work for at least another couple of hours.

2) Neither Gun or Luann have anyone REAL in their lives right now.

3) And when Irma shows up, (And You KNOW she Will) no problem. Like Tiffany, Irma actuality LOVES Luann.

So LuAnn ate the rest of Gunther’s fries. With the cheesecake, she’s going to start looking like Tiff – in the hips and butt at least.

I hope it is not so, but there has always been the “rumor” that when Luann and Gunther actually become a couple…. it signifies that Greg is at the point where he retires.

So, I am truly hoping Greg is not planning that as some sort of “reveal” happening. I very much like and enjoy his clean, very nice drawing style….. when he tried out “guest artists” a few years ago, NONE compared favorably to him.

Gunther skipping class just to have dessert? I wonder how this will be excused by the person who was all like “Bets’s not returning to school just shows how she’ll eventually cheat on Gunther. She can’t be trusted to keep her commitments.” After all, they seemed to forget that Gunther himself skipped a whole semester.

Luann and Gunther just want dessert. They are not interested in each other.

This doesn’t seem to be interest in each other. It seems more like interest in dessert.

I don’t want to see Luann settling for an early pairing with her old buddy Gunther. There’s a lot of potential good stories as Luann ventures out into the world.

I can’t see them as a romantic couple, but they are good friends, and I hope they spend more time together.

Yes, indeed, true friends always make time for each other. You can always lean on your best friend when in need. Gun may need a little TLC at this time.

Brad and Toni are still part of the comic. They may become parents in the future and new stories plus others can expand the characters personalities and make the comic more interesting. I and many others really enjoy the ups and downs of the characters. Carry on Greg and Karen, I’m sure you haven’t run out of ideas yet.

I’ll be very disappointed if Luann ends up with Gunther, for so many reasons. Not the least of which is that she would probably end up dropping out of school and ending up with no possible career other than an MRS degree…
