Are you talking about the cats or your friends?

Cats are like teenagers: do love you, but they don’t want to be seen with you.

“Cat ownership” is an interesting phrase. I figure they own me as much as the other way. One favorite truism: “Dogs have masters, cats have staff.”

The lady led him to believe he would get a lot of … and he certainly did.

How many cats can own one person?

They’re cats. They’ll let you know in no uncertain terms if they don’t tolerate you. I worked with a guy who lost an eye to a cat. Not sure the full circumstances behind it. It’s been a few years since he told the story.

She’s not truly a crazy cat lady, not with only six. Of course, where there’s six in one room, there’s bound to be more elsewhere in the house, so she may yet qualify.

Actually, they all hate you and are waiting for you to die so they can start eating your body two hours after your death.

It depends on the cat. The three house panthers that share my life all love me, evidenced by the fact that they want to be near me most of the day – often trying to “help” with whatever I’m doing.

Dogs have owners. Cats have staff.

My wife says our cat mopes around the house and won’t leave her alone if I’m gone a few days.

Why is it considered crazy for a person to rescue cats but not for a person to rescue dogs? Side note: fewer cats [and dogs] would need to be taken in by crazy/sane people if the original owners would have their pets spayed and neutered. That’s crazy.

True, dat. But I love all 4 of mine! And not ONE lap kitty. Don’t get me wrong. They like affection; all of them. But they will not tolerate being held or confined. They will be fine sitting beside you like my tortie girl, Calli, is doing right now. They love to be stroked and petted and, especially, chin rubs. But if I pick one up, it’s OVER. “Let me down; I’ve got things to do!”

Shouldn’t there be one on the windowsill? And clawing the sofa? And right under his feet?

Our sweet calico used to sleep wrapped around the little bit of my wife’s head that peeped out of the covers. Wife said she’s never slept that warm since the cat passed. As for or me, kitty did me the honor of lying on the sofa next to me whenever I sat down with a book. Miss her.

My cats won’t leave me alone, especially in winter when they want a warm lap.

The only time that you own a cat, is when you’re at the Vets.

My cats and I enjoy eachothers company, sometimes we just coexist. It’s an easy relationship.

Stop feeding them and they’ll kill you and eat you.

All you have to do to be a cat’s BFF is feed it. And chin rubs.

What do you mean by the term, “Cat Ownership?” Are you talking about the ugly bags of mostly water that cats own?

It’s nearly impossible to have any kind of personal relationship with more than two cats. They think you are poor excuse for a cat.

Cats are not persons but they are personalities. I spend an hour a day with my two cats – walking in the cul-de-sac, working in the garden and watching TV in the evening. They can come and go as they please, so I know they enjoy my company enough to hang out with me. :)

Okay, the first misconception here . . . you do NOT own a cat.

Counting the petals remaining on the daisy the cats don’t tolerate her.

They tolerate you if you feed them.

They tolerate our crap, but they do love us. I recently had my Mum adopt one of the strays from my complex and every time I visit she follows me around meowing at me until I give her the attention she so rightly deserves. I wish I could afford the pet fees at my complex and keep her myself. As is I’m paying for food/litter/vet bills and my Mum provides the shelter.

More accurately: “The essence of being owned by cats.”

Some people find this morbid , but I have told everyone that when I die, it will be 2 weeks to 2 months before anyone thinks to look for me. I’m sure the herd, 10, will have had something to eat and that’s fine with me. 10 cats, 6 birds, I’m full and yes, crazy.

As a serial cat keeper, I feel blessed beyong words when I am in the presence of a devine being.

Amateur, only 6 cats. My sister has 15 and she is cutting down since she is getting older and doesn’t want to outlive any of her cats.

There is ONE serious issue that leads me to believe the artist is NOT a cat owner. If it were true-to-life, the cat on the corner table and the one on the end table would be trying to knock the coffee cup and the pictures off. Oh, wait… they usually only do that at 1-4am.
