Does anyone find this series of comics to be as boring as I do?

No, Tiffany, try listening for a change. Luann says she’s ‘offended and annoyed’. Does that sound like she’s going along with this mess?

What Tiff and Betts are calling rebranding is starting to sound like what adolescent girls call a makeover

Say they made up some new factoids about Luann…how would people even find out she has “changed”? She’s not famous, so they can’t send out press releases or create events around her.

I love Luann! She’s so normal! The other 2 are wack.

Tiff, she does not want to be subject of your branding scheme.

This is sooo bad. I’m almost hoping Luann says, “Shut your mouth, Fatty!” and then kicks them both out of her house.

Has it ever occurred to those two that what they’re doing just MIGHT be illegal??

We commenters often complain that Luann is meh, bland, unchanged since high school (which technically was only two years ago Luanntime) Is this KE getting back at us by making us resist a Luann make-over? But, typically this misses the point, we want Luann to be interesting, which means writing interesting stories about her. It’s the writer who has turned an interesting high school girl into this bland college student.

Yes, we’re all offended and annoyed.

A number of fans are really trashing this arc.

But for Me, I like the idea of these three ladies together. Just under different circumstances.

However, I will say that Luann should NOT have been the “subject” of this “trial run.”

In fact, I’ll wager that IF G&K had substituted any one of the guys from Les to Ox to Gunther for Luann, and placed them in the exact same arc, there’d be few if ANY “complaints.”

HECK, if they had substituted Bernice for Luann, “folks” would have been HOOTING and pounding their computer screens in celebration. ;-)

Luann. It’s your strip. Take over. Tiffany, go back to being the sexy babe who considers flaunting a killer body is a worthy goal for a future diva.

I haven’t seen a “required reading” notice anywhere. Possibly, those who are annoyed and offended can go be annoyed and offended elsewhere

With all the influencers all over the internet, I think this arc is funny showing how stupid and useless the concept is

OUCH! As much as I want to see Luann test out Bets and Tiffany’s project and I think it could do a lot of good to her, their utter lack of tact is terrible! Luann has every reason to feel annoyed, offended and refuse! Maybe this way the two would learn to treat friends they come to bother at home and ask for weird favors better. I hope they can test the project on someone, it’s still an interesting idea and who knows, maybe tomorrow they will be able to convince Luann somehow. Or… there’s always the chance that if Luann shuts the door on their faces, Bernice could comes along and they can convince her.

What we have here is a failure to communicate (Cool Hand Luke), in this case from two people being hard of listening.

“Offended and annoyed” is the brand. If you do it right, some people will send you money for that.

I think that this could be a way for Luann to get a true “change” as a semi-adult. It happened before when she went to her new look once she got older. If it happens while she is in College it could be the beginning of a new era for her…It’s not so bad, but do wish they could move a little faster with their ideas for what her new brand will be…

Lately it it VERY boring, and I have always supported Greg and Karen. Lately that is getting difficult.

Yay! Luanne finally wins! After years of wishing she were more exciting or glamorous, she is content the way she is.

The story line is okay, but the pacing is terrible. It shouldn’t take a week for a single conversation to complete in order to advance the story.

I’ve been reading Luanne for years; the last couple of months have been awful I think. Almost like someone else is writing it, long boring episodes that go nowhere. But, just my opinion.

I’ve stopped reading Luann a long time ago,sadly.

I’ve long thought she needs a makeover. Still unchanged from HS is spot on. At least give her a boyfriend again.

Perhaps a class in diplomacy is in order. Sheesh! Insults won’t get clients.

Luann’s no fool. So what would a (re)brand look like? New hairstyle, clothes, make-up, etc? Who knows. But since we’re in the comic-verse, Bets and Tiff’s hare-brained idea might just work.

Tiffany is pretty accurate with her statement in the second panel.

I’m not sure I’d want to take rebranding advice from someone who’s had the exact same hairstyle since (at least) the third grade.

Bets is probably not too different from what she was in high school, Tiffany has the same hair, got fat and wears a waitress uniform everywhere she goes. Where do these two get off insulting other people and why does Luann stand for it??

Luann often imagined herself as a supermodel in HS, made up with Farah Fawcett hair, runway model clothes and makeup like Tiffany, The make-over Tiff gave to Ber in HS was sweet and heartwarming which made a way for us to see her differently. Now that luann has grown out of the desire to be a runway model, they’re trying to tell her that she’s blah and needs to change. It would be hilarious if they made her over with Farah hair, runway clothes and Tiff makeup, the end result being that she decides she likes herself as is.

Betts and Tiff seem intent in rebranding Luann, despite Luann’s warriness over the whole thing.

I see a makeover coming in 5…4…3…

The art work on Luann is perfect…too perfect. I looked at today’s Luann Again and it looks like drawing, not some kind of computer produced graphic art. I think the old style drawing had a more “real feel.”

A+ for a branding project? First A+ for Tiffany?
