Everyone’s happy! Sweet Sophie has her window, and the builders get to see their favorite little “girl.” I love it when everyone’s happy. Well, except for Ora Zella, who didn’t get to destroy anything, but she’s young and has lots of time ahead of her.
Also, very glad to see that Sophie’s People had the window installed professionally. In circumstances where the structural integrity of your house is involved, do not do it yourself unless you know what you’re doing. Watching YouTube videos doesn’t count.
Before we get too far from the remodeling, the person doing our work is a professional renovator. His resume includes owning his own flooring company, installing windows, and working for the Home Depot as the one who went in after their workers to inspect and correct the mistakes. He is very meticulous and does a really great job. We bonded with him so well when he did our windows that we get a family discount from him. He will be starting work on bathroom number one in a couple of weeks and at half the price of a quote we got.
Other work he has done for us includes patching the garage ceiling, looks as good as an interior wall, laying boards In the attic for more storage space, and replacing the vanity in bathroom two so we have one working bathroom while bathroom one is being redone.
He is one stand up guy and we are blessed to have him.
Whatever they are doing to try to fix the gray box problem is making it worse on my computer. Before, the gray stripe would scroll up as soon as the page loaded. Now when I start to scroll up, the gray stripe stays solidly in place and the comic and comments scroll behind it so that it blocks all text and images. After 20 seconds, it will allow the stripe to scroll up but it no longer disappears. It’s a PITA waiting for it to time out so I can either read a new comic or new comments.
Awww. It’s nice to see those guys again. And for Sophie to have her window back. I assumed this was going to lead into the mystery storyline Georgia’s working on, but for now I’m wrong
The builders must have gone looking for Lupin. Because he’s on the floor above Sophie and Tommy, I don’t think that the Men would be at eye level with him naturally.
Who these maroons and why they theenks Lupin is female? Why not they see the obveeous? And whose bright idea it was to install big steenky sticky grey weendow on top of this website?
Elvis-Anum: Alright, we’re here at the oPyramid. It looks like there might be a room we haven’t explored down that corridor on the right. But proceed cautiously.
Lupinium: Sure. I’ll just stop at the litter room on the right first.
Elvis: Don’t take too long.
Ta-Natash: I don’t know. He took a news scroll with him.
Sometime Later
Elvis: Lupinium!
Lupnium: Okay, okay! I just got caught up reading a very interesting article.
Elvis: We’re looking for the Young Cats!
Tash: Wait, do you hear something?
Lupinium: I think it’s from down the hall.
Voices
Beatrixia: I’m going to put a pyramid on Waset Street. Iggy, your turn.
Iggy: I’m going to buy the Appian Way. Iron Glove?
Iron Glove: I passed Go, give me my two hundred silver pieces!
Elvis: There you kids are! What’s going on?
Bea: We found the hidden room! It’s got all kinds of board games!
Iron Glove: I just got enough to put a pyramid on Sand Place!
Elvis: We were worried about you!
Iggy: Sorry about that. We got carried away gaming.
Lupinium: If we hurry, we should be in time for Perfect Perch Supper.
Bea: Maybe we can take some of the games with to play later.
Tash: And later we can plan on setting up a game room here.
Elvis: Alright, but we have to have the right priorities. First thing’s first!
Sue Ellen directed attention to the arc starting on 6/9/2022 where the Roofers are introduced. As usual, this led me to continue on and I rediscovered 6/20/2022 where the Vaults and Vacuums (Dungeons and Dragons in the People version) game arc begins. Journeying back in time on BCN is always fun!
Just last night I was thinking about the builders, as our own dainty white (male) cat was sitting in my window. So glad they’re back and Lupin is getting the adoration he deserves.
Some random thoughts on white cats and, um, maleness. All the while trying not to trip censors. (Hey, I did it with sm*g.) So, I was thinking about my Bernie-beau and Lupin. See, if Lupin was like my Bernie, the builders wouldn’t think he was a girl because Bernie looks like an intact male, even if he isn’t. (Especially since Bernie looooves sticking his butt in people’s faces. It’s a compliment. He’s saying he trusts you enough to be his most vulnerable with you.) Apparently, when vets neuter adult males, they take the reproductively necessary sacks out while leaving the outer casing whole. (Come to think of it, Cornfields at Tiny Kittens also looked like an intact male after he was fixed as well.) They do it this way because it’s a rather complicated area and they don’t want to cut the urethra by accident. I don’t blame them. Using a catheter on a human is bad enough. Hi cat, may I stick this tube up your …. Yeah, no.
In this instance, with Lupin, being misgendered is of no real consequence, but in the real world it is a painful experience for trans, queer, or gender non-conforming folks. We need to remember that it is isn’t funny at all elsewhere. May all people be able to to be addressed and refered to as they wish.

Sunshine, lollipops and my window,
Everything that’s wonderful is what I feel when we’re together,
Brighter than a lucky penny,
When I sit there the rain cloud disappears,
And I feel so fine just to know that you are mine.
My life is sunshine, lollipops and my window,
That’s how this refrain goes, so come on, join in everybody!
Sunshine, lollipops and my window,
Everything that’s wonderful is sure to come your way
