I’ve been wondering if this would turn out to be a, um, space heater-side story or real events. Turns out it’s both!I’m still trying to figure out if Lupin is unaffected cause he’s deaf or because he’s not REALLY an adult. I’m probably over thinking it, but the kids’ hearing would be better than the adults. Not sure at what age feline hearing peaks, but for humans it is around 10-12 years. So I would tend to think the kittens would have better hearing than the adults, so it would be something they CAN hear keeping them sane…. But then there’s Lupin…. I’m over-thinking this, aren’t I?

OMG. The floor is so clean. It is practically a different color.

I can only imagine the combined story-telling style of Lupin and Ora Zella, constantly interrupting each other…. and poor Iggy wouldn’t be able to get a word in edgewise!

Lupin, the calm and rational voice of reason. That alone is enough to make me think it’s a total fantasy!

Lupin the “calm and rational voice of reason”…those are some words I never thought I’d hear. I love the telling of this “the truth is way stranger than fiction” tale around the space heater!

Lupin, in any fireside story, you have to keep things within believable limits. Zombie cats, fine. Killer roombas from space? A-OK. You as the calm and rational voice of reason? One step too far…

I love the look of happiness on Elvis’s face in panel 6. Another giveaway that this story didn’t happen.

I would’ve thought Lupin referring to himself as the calm and rational voice of reason would short-circuit Elvis’ mind. I love the face high five and Elvis’ pose in the roomba flood.

“The calm and rational voice of reason” is not a position I’d want to be in. As I’ve said quite often: “If I’m the adult in the room then we’re in serious trouble.”

Oh yeah, those are the expressions of disbelief I expected!

It’s weird seeing Lupin be the voice of reason here.

From a structure point of view, this is a very good idea since kids and soft-hearted adults read this comic. The scariness becomes much less scary because we know it ended well for everyone, but we still want to know what happened. Well done, Georgia.
