Awww… Is Alan getting a little crush on Luann?

Luann is definitely good with children. The silly names are putting them at ease.

So, do the cap-wearing twins actually speak?

The comic was actually a minute early tonight, so I guess that means Ivlax will definitely be the first one to comment again tonight.

Either way, Luann reminds me of the time I was kidding around with my niece (who I think was just barely into her double digits at the time), and told her my parents named me what they did because it was either that or Aloyius Zimmerflotz; that got a big laugh out of her.

A happy outcome by Friday? Will Piro’s mother survive? Will Luann become a professional nanny?

Well, Luann does know children and is perfectly at home with them. That’s rare. I am not exactly cozy with children except with my own children and grands.

Luann is plainly setting herself up as the “cool aunt”.

These are all Piro’s siblings…Piro is, what, 20? Then we have Alan at 12, then a whole group close together, starting at 8 or 9? Interesting. Possibly not all blood siblings?

Poor nerdy Alan has to watch all these little kids?

Piro does have a cousin that we know of. Luann’s friend. I forget her name.

The kids are with complete strangers and did not know Mom was going to the hospital. Piro surely could have prepared the siblings better for this. Hopefully Luann can keep them calm and happy for a few hours. Piro needs a much better plan in the future.

Well, it looks like Luann will have no trouble with these kids—except, maybe, Alan.

‘I am Groot.’

Luann: ‘I am DeGroot.’

Oh yeah, Piro did a great job here! Not only did he not tell Bernice he was bringing this hoard to her to babysit, he just left his siblings with complete strangers and didn’t even tell them where they were going or why!

And I don’t want to hear any “oh, he’s only a teenager, he doesn’t have the maturity to make good decisions” crap. Supposedly he’s been taking care of his sibs for years, so he should have some experience.

Pam Picklepants looks like Shannon with freckles; Miss Ladybug Bottom looks like Bernice.

We don’t talk about Alan

As predicted, Luann IS helping Bernice even though she SHOULDN’T, after all of Bern’s “Stay out of Piro’s business,” crap.

And it’s been firmly established that Luann is Good with Kids.

Lu will make a great teacher some day.

And a terrific mom……., ;-)

Alan is creepy and this arc promises to be cringeworthy.

Nervous reaction

Are we going to see another Jay Fosgitt-esq arc where all the kids suddenly turn into prodigies and cook food, do the dishes, scrub the floors, clean the bathrooms, do the laundry and the shopping?

I hate stories where the main characters are treated like doormats being walked all over by some other character. This is one of them. Piro texts (not calls) Bernice, knowing that she does not live in her own place to say he’s coming over. He does not ask he wants to ask a favor of hers and he does not say he’s bringing anyone with him. He just shows up on Luann’s doorstep and asks Bernice to babysit six kids she’s never met before. He doesn’t even introduce them to her before he’s gone. This sounds just like a Shannon story times six. Bernice has no choice but to babysit because Piro, like Jonah Daytona, is gone because she can object. “Luann” used to be a lot better about avoid doormat stories. When I first saw Alan I assumed he was near Piro’s age because he was near Piro’s size. And because I assumed he was near Piro’s age but included in the group that needs babysitting I concluded he was a special needs child. This got confusing when he asserted that he was 11, nearly 12. That would make him a fifth grader and place him before a boy’s final growth spurt. All I can think is that Greg is drawing him too large for his ago. But also he seems to be able to only say “I am Alan.” This repetition again makes me suspects he’s mentally challenged.In conclusion Piro has joined Jonah and Ann Eiffel in a short list of characters I never want to see again.

So what happens when Luann’s parents come home and find all these strangers in their house?

She has a gift. Time to exploit it.

Need to introduce Alan to Groot.

She’s doing well with them right off the bat. And WHY did Piro not want her to take care of them!

Just something that jumps out at me now and again, the drawing of arms/hands. Alan’s hand in the last panel? Everybody else looks good. Not trying to be persnickity but it just jumps out at me, the occasional ‘straight arm, fingers splayed’ look that is so unnatural. please take as constructive criticism Maybe the Q is: Am I the only one this sticks out to?

During Covid shots, they used the National Guard to shuffle us around. At the head of the line, a soldier looks at my wife’s med form and radios, “Next up is Sierra Tango.” She was so tickled she only answered to “Sierra Tango” for a week!

Why does Alan look 37 years old?

again showing her she should consider teaching as a career, like Ms. Horner whom she wants to emulate.

Way to go, Luann. Shows why you’re the star!

The blonde kid must be a friend of Hammie MacPhearson to come up with a nickname like that. I thought he had to go poop.

Luann really has a special gift with children, Piro’s little siblings immediately liked her. I fear this could bring Piro closer to Luann and send Bernice into a crisis. For sure this will not be the only time that the little ones will appear, maybe Luann and Bernice will start go to Piro’s house to watch them. Risking to meet Piro’s stepfather.

Alan has some work to do to attain Piro’s level of cool

I suspect Greg is introducing a character with special needs ?Downs vs on the Spectrum, (Alan) into the Luann universe.

Luann, if she’d stop and think a little, would discover the career she was meant for. Most anything dealing with kids.

Lemme guess— Piro’s mom is in the hospital giving birth to another kid. She better figure out where they’re coming from.

Bernice and kids don’t mix. Luann, on the other hand, is a natural.

Where are we. Who are you. I think that Piro doing this is just awful. No explanation at all was given to his sibs on the ride over to Luann’s house. Just took them to a strange place and dropped them off. If the situation was that desperate an ambulance should have been called. Thank goodness that Luann has a way with kids.

There was a guy on “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” who did exactly the same thing.

My question would be of 7 siblings who bear 0 resemblance to one another, except the twins, moms been busy.

Invite Shannon over to play. That will make this arc very interesting!

Interesting how the arcs pivot between Luann’s struggle to find her skills, identity and purpose. Then we see her childcare superpower rise to the surface. I see a teacher in the making?

Good thing that blond kid’s head is covering up Alan’s excitement

Alan is on the spectrum. Can’t wait to see how tone-deaf HIS story arcs.

Bernice may learn something here. Maybe.

Luann can not wait for Brad and Toni to have kids so she can be an Aunt.

A good story line for Greg Evans would have have the Luann character follow a career path to early education educator…3k or 4k or k… She is perfect for that field.

Bernice doesn’t have much imagination. She takes everything literally. This is why she can’t communication with kids. The only time she indulges in fantasy is with her love life, and we’ve seen how well that’s going.
