Hey, I had a character of mine address this before. You see, canonically speaking he’s a 4-year-old monster, but he’s been in existence for almost 20, and on his birthday one year, he remarked about how he’s still only 4 by theorizing that he has to be trapped in some sort of time warp in which he’ll never grow any older.

Honestly? Seeing Luann and Bernice in their olden days would feel like a comic strip version of the Golden Girls. I’d read it!

Ageism is a part of life Bernice. Some woman don’t age and still look like 45 when they are 75 years old.

But…They have been teens pretty much forever. “Bam” definitely happened to me though.

Time leap? Is this Greg and Karen’s comical way of telling us they are getting ready to move everyone forward say to age 21???? Probably not a good move since they have such difficulties writing for 19th at olds. But if they did feel more comfortable with that it might loosen up a few things and allow them to write more freely for the characters. It’s probably just a red herring though.

There is no way puddles would still be alive.

Comics dogs, like comics people, age differently than dogs in our reality. Other than putting on some weight, it appears to be me that Puddles is just as he was before!

Puddles hasn’t aged a day.

I would ask how is Puddles still alive in the 2nd strip but that is Puddles III.
