Iggy in a Christmas Tree would make a great T-shirt. All the reporters in a Christmas tree would be a great poster.

I love Elvis coming to Iggy’s defense

I believe those are candy canes on her robe but some of them look like question marks.

Panel three would make a sweet ornament. Now that I think of it, Iggy himself is a sweet tree adornment! Let him stay and spread peaceful Christmas vibes.

Iggy in that third panel looks so peaceful. Reminds me of that line from “Sweet and Low” by Alfred Lord Tennyson.

Iggy is very ornamental.

But now Ora Zella is in the tree. It’s doomed,

I agree with Elvis. Poor Iggy is only following his kitty instincts, after all. Why tantalise him with a big Douglas Fir if it’s only meant for decoration? ❤ See, Ora Zella agrees!

I just had to say! I went shopping with hubby at the mall today and I was wearing my Lupin “Let’s Do This!” backpack and got like ten compliments for it!! I did A LOT of advertising for BCN this afternoon! :D

I think Christmas trees are the only trees that cats aren’t afraid to get down from them, Am I right?

Release the Elvis! Unfortunately, it is a slippery slope that others will abuse (see last panel).

We have two new cats this year who are fascinated by the tree, but I’ve been amazed at how little damage they do – I don’t think they’ve even dislodged an ornament so far.

Why yes of course thems poor cats is trap inside the entrapartment.

Has Puck not taught Iggy the Purrfect Christmas Tip of tossing ornaments down from the tree so the People will have the fun of redecorating every morning?

I love it when Elvis gets defensive of the younglings.

I have no problems with cats on tree. Actually I install the tree especially for cats every year. Sadly, I can’t post any links for photos…

Today is my 58th birthday. I remember that fifty years ago my 8th birthday was also on a Sunday and that I watched a Tom and Jerry cartoon called Part Time Pal.

Iggy is a BABY! And he always says “I’m sorry”. I know I could never tell him no.

In all my years of being owned by cats, I’ve never had one climb a Christmas tree. Iggy in this tree is adorable!

Oh, let Iggy sleep. Better Iggy than Lupin and OZ…whoops…

If giving someone an opening to do something they shouldn’t do but ended up doing anyway is “entrapment”, then boy howdy do I have a bunch of potential lawsuits!

Which is why in our home, we have a multi level, multi perch cat tree. So much easier than chasing cats from a Christmas tree.

Elvis might be a PIA old fuddy-duddy, but ya gotta love him defending Iggy.

This is something you just sort of have to expect when you have both a Christmas tree and cats in the same house. :P

At least that appears to be a real tree, which I’ve heard can handle cats climbing them okay. An artificial tree is more likely to give way under the weight, since they weren’t necessarily built with a cat sitting in it in mind.

Love Elvis’s righteous indignation—“Oh, the catanity!”

Yesterday was Earl Grey’s Gotcha Day. He has settled in quite well this last year. Hubby and I are progressing well in our training by him… He seems mostly satisfied in our ability to care for him!

I just saw a cat video where the family decided to let the cat in the tree because he only wanted to nap and didn’t bother the decorations. The Woman could learn from this.

OT:Happy News. My Chimney sweep fixed my damper. Even reengineered it a bit so it won’t drop again. Came from the other side of town, quite a drive, and charged me $20. So he’s my hero of the day! I was expecting quite a lot more.

YEAH!!!!! You tell ’em, Ora Zella!

Follow-up on Friday’s earthquake discussion

Iggy is so cute saying, “sorry” every time the woman takes her out of the tree. How did she get up there while leaving the ornaments unscathed?!

Aw he looks so peaceful curled up in the tree. I’m sure he wouldn’t knock anything down!

This was so cute. We have older cats now and miss having a kitten in the tree. ❤️

It is cute. I mail out a Christmas card with Wilamena peering out from inside a Christmas tree. However, lightweight kittens become heavy cats between seasons. “Good cat” training has to be consistent and started early. Don’t worry. You can’t break a kittens heart; it will find something else to do very soon.

Preach, Elvis, preach! He deserves to sleep in the Christmas tree.

At least Iggy won’t try to destroy and knock off the ornaments, unlike a certain white cat and kitten………

So far none of our present cats have tried to climb the tree. MrrrCavity is older and quite heavy, so he doesn’t do much “up.” Skeezix doesn’t seem to be much of a climber. I don’t think Holly has thought of it … yet. Years ago I put a medium-sized screw eye in the ceiling above the tree location. We used a green twist tie from there to the top of the tree. Since all our trees fit our 9 foot ceiling, the anchor is hardly noticeable. We also have a tree stand that weighs about 15 pounds.

I know it’s late today, so I’ll try to post this again around Christmas.

OT:Busy season. Tomorrow I have to go get my Covid shot, finally, and take an iron test for the RLS treatment. I’ll be up all night studying for that one.

I have a computer again! On Tuesday it wouldn’t turn on so I had to take it to Best Buy. Turned out it needed a new processor. Luckily, I had enough points and gift card so it only cost me $15.

Kitty in the tree – squeeeee

I have a cat named Iggy who pretty much does the same thing. If there are any low-hanging ornaments, he will jump at them until they are knocked off the tree and then proceed to play with them.
