Ora Zella’s newest recipe item. Leprechaun under glass? And someone needs to give Puck a Spa Day after this is over!

Ora Zella is funny, but I really want to know how the war with the vacuum is going. What does that even look like? I want to see!

When I try to catch leprechauns, I use a jar with a wider mouth than Ora Zella. You need to cover more area because they are fairly quick. First you set out some bait. A pot of gold or maybe some gold foil-covered chocolate will do it. Then when you see the leprechaun take the bait, you drop the jar on them. Once you get your three wishes, then you have to let them loose. Just make sure that you don’t wish for a pot of gold or gold foil-covered chocolate. Those wishes always go badly.

OZ is in for a real challenge. Leprechauns are faster than Santa.

I finally realized what comics character from days gone by that Ora Zella reminds me of. Anybody remember Little Iodine?

I love that Puck is worried about missing too much work. It implies that each of the cats has a regular shift at the news desk and they have to get somebody to cover for them if they’re off chasing leprechaun trapping kittens.

In my head, I hear Elvis’s reply in a deadpan delivery, the same way I hear my characters’ voices when I write. It would be interesting for Georgia to tell us how she hears her BCN characters in her head. What kind of accent, if any, does Elvis have?

Slightly OT, but related to last weeks strips. I made the meatloaf and the biscuits yesterday. They both turned out good. I did add salt, pepper and garlic powder to the meatloaf, I think I could have added a bit more salt. I added real onions instead of onion powder. If I make the biscuits again, I will probably put more cheese in. I didn’t really pack it down in the measuring cup. I have 5 meals of meatloaf in the freezer and 6 biscuits.

Pucky, you’re not missing work. Part of a roving reporter’s job is to cover breaking news. And when Lupin’s at the anchor desk, nobody breaks more stuff than OZ.

Soon as I read that, I thought “oh no!” Sure enough…..though he would fit into that quite nicely.

Yesterday I baked Georgia’s chocolate chip cookies. They were well received at rehearsal, even after I told folks about the flax seed!
