But what gets Me is Tom is so “P-whipped” that he doesn’t even realize what’s going on. “I can’t afford to keep you in a private dorm room Tiffany, because I’m buying my girlfriend expense stuff and taking her to Italy.” I mean, SERIOUSLY??

Therein lies the “problem.” Even If Tom finally divests himself of THIS witch, some other female huckster will enter his life and take what’s left of his money. The dope will never learn. It’s time for Tiffany to cut ties with Dad, for good.

Two final points:

1) As much as many of Us would like to see Tiffany Sucker Punch Ann so hard that she wakes up 300 years later laying next to Dr. Zaius, that would be a bad idea, as Ann would SUE everybody insight.

2) And Unless Old Smiley or Ox steps up to the plate, and I mean QUICK, Tiffany’s one hope here is that one or more of Ann’s P*ssed-off, Scammed customers is sitting at a nearby table, recognizes her, calls the cops and presses charges.

Like what SHOULD have Happened over a year ago.

I would not be terribly put out if someone garroted Ann. Rarely have a seen a comic character who so clearly deserved it. Alas, in the real world such people rarely receive their comeuppance.

Seems like Tom is a fool to be sharing his financial info with Ann. What woman to whom you are not married (with legal rights) would be worth that?

When will Ann get what’s truly coming for her? Other characters put her in her place. But this thing with Tiffany is dragging on. Let her disappear like the beloved characters have in the past.

Tiffany should ask Ox to take the table. Servers do it all the time when a patron makes them feel uncomfortable.

I don’t believe Tiff will hit Ann, although I know she really, really wants too. I think the defense firewall of Ox, or TJ, or Les will keep her from doing something that rash. Even the trolls are on Tiffany’s side at this point, but on the other hand we really can’t lose Ann as a delicious villain, so let Tiffany win, winning meaning she is able to, with the help of Luannverse,, finally break from being the poor little rich girl. We still want our bitchy Tiff, but everyone loves her now anyway, so as long as she is making progress, and maybe getting to her dreams, that will be what I/we want to see. By the way I personally could see Tom go off to Italy with his floozie, as someone else said (1920’s year old word, but it fits) and stay disappeared, and somewhere in the Luannverse arc stream, he comes back, chastened, mostly broke, sorry for how he has treated his daughter, and asking for forgiveness. But remember those of us who are really upset by this comic, hilarity will, eventually, ensue.

And I had forgotten my own philosophy that you should ALWAYS be nice to your servers, for it is their unwashed, nose-visiting fingers that could trail idly through your food and drinks. Not that anyone would EVER do that.

I knew those “money problems” weren’t real. And that Ann wasn’t any kind of concerned citizen or helpful in any way. Unless you count helping herself.

This is where tiff tells daddy she’s dropping out of school. without the financial help she just can’t make ends meet AND study.

The worst part is that Tiffany’s father is ok with Ann’s behavior. He thinks that he will help his daughter become independent and make her career. He probably loves Ann a lot and MAYBE Ann loves him too. For some reasons they are a fantastic couple.

Ann is a bully and that is the nicest word to describe her. Cruel also comes to mind. No one should be treated that badly.

Awful Annie continues her pathologic goading. Perhaps Ann will suggest that Tiff house sit while she and Warbucks are off to “the Continent.”

WOW! What many story lines could grow from that. 1) Tragedy happens (not hilarity®). They are never heard from again. Tiff’s rich. 2) While on their travels Simone Souffle gets wind that Awful Annie on the Continent, gets Interpol to serve up some justice. Warbucks goes into deep depression, gets himself committed. Tiff’s rich. Etc. 3) While house sitting Tiff uncovers something she can use against Awful Annie. Similar to Les’ good fortune. 4) Tiff invites Bets to house sit with her and become study buddies. They both graduate “something cum laude.” (Warbucks and Awful could be gone a long time in Luanniverse). 5) Something completely different.

Please put us out of our misery here and fix this. In the meantime, someone is just asking to have her food spit on.

I see where Tiffany gets her entitlement. She’s a chip(ette) off the old block (Tom).

Right now Tom’s so besotted with Ann that he doesn’t see the forest through the trees, so to speak. Once Ann bleeds him dry (And she will), she’ll leave him. Now I get where Greg gets his inspiration for Ann and Les. I don’t know about anyone else, but they remind me of Sante and Kenny Kimes.

Ann is not too smart to gloat to Tiffany like this. In real life, this would cause people to want to take you down and destroy you. This is a comic so it probably won’t happen anytime soon. Ann should just enjoy her luxurious lifestyle and not annoy Tiffany or anyone else.

Ann may be “awful” but i am oddly sticking up for her. Tom is an adult, Tiff is in college, and if he wants to spend all his money on his new love, it’s his beeswax.

At some point being kicked out the nest happens to a lot of us. Welcome to reality. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.

Ya know, Ann’s pretty evil, but she’s not wrong here. Tiffany was very much spoiled and so entitled it was sickening. I like her more now, and this struggle she’s dealing with will make her a better person in the end. It’s already started. The old Tiffany would let her anger control her completely. Let’s see how she deals with this. On a side note, one would think she’d have dropped the extra pounds she put on by now, due to financial constraints. It would be interesting to see her thin again, yet humbled by her recent troubles. Don’t think it’ll happen though.

I think Ann is goading Tiffany into doing something that could cause her to lose her job. Tiff needs to stay cool; Ox to the rescue…. maybe.

Go away Anne I do not understand what the writers think this evil woman brings to the strip – no one likes her, except, supposedly, Tom, but since we never see him, we don’t know that’s a fact either – just ditch the character – they’ve ditched better characters than her

Greg, please show Ann the door, PLEASE! I’d like nothing more than seeing her get arrested, Tiffs dad coming to her (Tiff) after he catches Ann redirecting (stealing) Tiffs money and then Ann is ….. Greg, you are so creative, please find a way to get her out. Ann is a bully, get rid of her.

Tiffany and Les need to go to Uncle Al. It seems he’s the only one Ann is even remotely concerned about.

OK, I have read all of the comments for today so far, just to make sure I wasn’t doubling up on someone else’s thought. And this thought is very much out of line with everyone else, so I expect to get a lot of flack for it. Yes, Ann is a witch. But the way I have read this strip over the years, I put some of the blame on Tiffany. If she was any kind of decent daughter, don’t you think even if she is mad at Tom for cutting her off, she would still call him every once in a while to discuss the situation, or life in general. But, no, never one time has she done that. If she had, she would have already known about the bedroom, Italy, etc. So if she isn’t keeping a direct line open with Daddy, she has no real right to be upset with Ann who obviously DOES have a direct line. Paragraph break. The other thing that is out of whack here (at least to me), is if Tom and Ann are so cozy, why isn’t around. Why don’t we see them together. Nope, it is always Ann by herself. I know, this is a comic, and Greg can write it the way he wants to. I still like reading it.

Here’s the storyline: Ann was embezzling money from Tom until he cut Tiffany off, making it appear Tiffany was the cause.

Now it’s time to reveal that, give Ann her comeuppance, and move on. This whole story has already dragged on long enough.

I am so glad this is only a comic, drawn for entertainment because this kind of thing in real life would totally infuriate me. :)

So many people refer to Ann as being “hot.” I don’t see it. She is confident, in love with herself, sarcastic to others, and well-coiffed, but does that make her ‘hot"? So many others are better looking than Ann is. I’m female, so maybe it’s just that I don’t understand how men think.

Ox really likes Tiffany. It would be nice if G&K could “fix him up” the way they did Jack. Tiff needs a special friend. Ox would make a good one. He’s very sweet.

Interesting developments.

We now have further evidence of what we have known all along…. that Tom “Cat” Ferrell is just an obnoxious, useless, sperm donor and not a Dad.

We see that a wily woman like Ann with absolutely no scruples can easily guide the sperm donor to do whatever she likes, most likely because he has as his only motivation and focus in life is the further donation of sperm.

So…. what shall transpire with this arc? I suspect Ann will further put the bind on Tiffany in a financial sense, and that by Saturday, we may unfortunately see Tiffany at the very end of her abilities to cope…. likely crying, locked in her room, or crying back at the Gulag, or crying and despondent in the kitchen at The Fuse.

Tiffany needs to keep a recording device on her so she can get Her Evilness on tape, then play it for dear ol’ daddy. Although it might be good to send it to him anonymously.

If looks could kill… But…what needs to happen is for somebody to get Ann saying something totally incriminating on tape to play for Tiff’s father. Who may still not care, but still. I think we’re all a little tired of Ann Awful. I wish they’d move along. What’s happening with Toni and Brad? And for heaven’s sake, what’s going on with Luann? Isn’t this supposed to be HER strip?

Here’s a new direction: Ann is served her chop by Ox, along with some fries. She eats a fry and starts choking. Tiffany remembers how to do CPR from some training she had as a cheerleader and saves Ann’s life, just as Toni and Brad appear on the scene. Later, the Fire Chief awards Tiffany a medal for civilian lifesaving, and a crowd cheers. Tom is there and actually embraces his daughter. Ann is so embarrassed by the backfiring of her effort to get Tiffany disinherited that she slinks off scene…

Somebody please remind me what T.J. had on Ann to get her to leave town and why he hasn’t reminded her of her of this.

That’s not a Gucci bag. Gucci designs aren’t that subtle. Gucci merchandise always screams I’M A GUCCI, because those who buy the brand want you to know they have the money to waste on something overpriced and ugly. Anne is the perfect Gucci customer.

I must go back and review all of the comments, because Ann reeeeeeealy crossed the line today, and 3rd. panel Tiff has the look of a very dangerous dragon lady. All she needs now is to pop a few of her top buttons, tie a Rambo head band around her forehead a Mexican style bandolier across her chest, and break a chair on Ann’s table.

I am tired of this character. She is a villain that always wins. I get that Tiffany needed to be brought down a bit. But just hate this arc.

I am WELL past Ann Eiffel… the character I want to put on blast is her father. Either there’s something deeper here that Evans isn’t telling us yet, or it’s fairly simple…the father is a jackass.

Someone opined that Tiffany needs further improvement. I disagree. She does not have to become a saint to be relieved of this bullying. None of the other characters are saintly either, not even Luann.
