…I feel like I’ve just watched all of Twitter in four panels.

Someone seems a little miffed at Goldie. Did she not share some of that pizza she swiped a few days ago?

Another off topic thing but the orb seems okay with that so BCN is one of the few strips I fully apply voice actors to in my head though it took a WHILE to get the main quartet right (still not sure on the humans or burt). For the record it’s Jason Mantzokus as Elvis (His gruff yet also squeaky voice perfectly fits Puck as the oldest and his characters usually yell like the dickens but can also remain calm and have hidden depths), John Mulaney as Puck (Calm, voice of reasony but also the perfect dissoance for Pucky’s more out there moments), Steven Yuen as Elvis (being able to appear calm and composed one minute and entirely insane the next, as seen with Tuca and Bertie) and Jenny Slate as Goldie (Specifically her voice from the great north as it really fits Goldie’s investigavite reporter vibes). I tried to pick VA"S who could say this kind of thing naturally and say news reports but still act the various levels of nonsense our heroes need to as their well cats.

Cute little book out there called The Leaf Thief for those of you with new grandkids or very young kids. I’d forgotten about it until it came in my recommendations this morning. I bought it for my new granddaughter. Pucky would love it.

I wondered how long it was going to take for things to go south for Goldie. At least Lupin isn’t trying to “scoop” her story.

Save Goldie, Puck! The leaves are consuming her, body and mind. This is why I love this strip. We move from the high tension of a family potentially losing their house to the drama over leaves, and it all feels real!

I’d just like to thank everyone who liked and/or replied to my comments yesterday about it being the 4 year anniversary of my Max crossing the Bridge. I know I don’t comment here very often even though I read it every day and read all the comments. It’s just that I’m reading it in the few minutes before I have to go to work and I don’t always have time to comment. But I wouldn’t miss BCN for anything.

The Last Leaf by O’Henry was mentioned by Enmiesty so late yesterday that I want to mention it here. It’s a touching little story.

They need to bring in a dog as a consultant. “Nope. No leaves here, folks. I can’t smell them, so they aren’t there.”

I saw a post online yesterday about a dog who lives on a college campus. He noticed people exchanging money for treats at a store, and began bringing the store people a leaf in order to “pay” for a cookie. And there’s another that has turned up several times about a cat who brings her humans gifts of leaves every day. Animals are so sweet!

I’m waiting until Puck’s book Leaves of Grasp is released.

Let’s HOPE this does NOT descend into a SNL Point-Counterpoint’ sketch, a la Dan Aykroyd and Jane Curtin ! … :)

Elvis is betraying both Goldie and his reporter’s ethics. What he said is untrue, unjust, and unwarranted. My heart bleeds for Goldie. How can one defend oneself from such an accusation?

The only good leaf is one that has been torn apart with bunny kicks, reassembled, bound to a cinderblock and burned directly in front of the tree that spawned it. That is the safest way to deal with it.
