Ketchup forever. I have the palate of a five-year-old, but I know what I like.

I never try to have chicken without giving Gracie some, before putting the foul-smelling and tasting sauces on them.

I use honey mustard on my chicken strips. Maybe a little ranch. I am almost scared to try sriracha.

You know, I’ve never tried chicken tenders with sriracha sauce before. I bet it tastes good. The only sauce that I use is Buffalo.

BCN is reading my mind. I had already decided Sunday dinner will include chicken tenders with my favorite sauce from shallots and balsamic vinegar. Really the chicken is just an excuse to slurp up that scrumptious sauce. Mashed potatoes and corn, too.

We had a cat that would help my wife eat her chicken wings, the sauce didn’t bother or deter him, the other we had 2 wouldn’t touch them.

I don’t even want to know what buffalo sauce is.

I’m sorry, but it has to be Ranch with everything fried. I even use it with pizza! And pizza is not fried, but Ranch is good!

Well, Puck did tell Goldie some time ago that his favorite kitty treats are “chicky-dinner flavor.”

I once wanted to make my own buffalo sauce – but I couldn’t get the beast into the blender…

And meanwhile in my house Sparky would ignore the tenders and give me the Are You Done With The Ranch Sauce Yet? look through the meal. Someone needed to clean that container, after all, even if there was only a very little left on account of it’s DAIRY, cat…

That’s what we call them in our house!

Bob’s Big Boy Roquefort Salad Dressing. I even use it in place of mayo on Sandwiches. I’d eat it out of the jar with a spoon if it didn’t give me a guilty conscience.

I usually dip my chicken tenders and nuggets in Ranch. But if it’s Dairy Queen then it’s the gravy!!

The real sin is the ketchup.

This will likely excite some controversy, but I have always said that if you only like a food slathered in something else, you don’t really like it that much. Would that I could express this opinion while also being as amusing as our cat reporters (I particularly love Puck with the magnifying glass and Elvis’ “vile prairie creature potions.”)

Puckies theft of the chickie tendies reminds me of the time one of our kits leaped up and grabbed an entire ham steak from my wife’s dinner plate and went running down the hall carrying the steak, which was larger than the kitten. After we stopped laughing at the sight we had to fight Capt. Malcolm Tightpants for his fair-stolen booty, which he did not want to part with!

I’m with the kitties on this one—I’d rather have the chicken tenders plain. Why mess with something that is already perfect, right?

Re artchick530’s post about Burt not helping things with his chyron comment got me wondering. Does anyone have an opinion as to whom Burt tends to aim his chyron comments? Maybe Elvis? 8)

I have yet to eat a chickie tendie that I like, sauced or not. Maybe because they don’t use dark meat to make them?

Though, I, too, prefer ’em without any sauce.

None of mine care much about chicken, but my Siamese will mug me for shrimp, even shrimp from crab boil with Juicy Hot Special (garlic butter with lemon pepper and Cajun seasoning), extra hot. I used to try to rinse a couple of shrimp under running water for him so he wouldn’t hurt himself, but after he stole a couple of hot ones and was fine, I stopped worrying. I never met a cat who would eat hot sauce before.

McDonald’s has to have sauce because their chicken nuggets are terrible.

I don’t know why KFC stopped selling their nuggets. They were delicious.

Just my luck that Trouble loves the sauces I dip my chicken tenders into, such as but not limited to BBQ sauce, honey mustard, and alioli. He’ll eat anything but the food in his plate, the cute, furry brat! :P

OT: Update on my boys

Oh no! Not ranch, boy howdy! Seems to drive all cats absolutely bonkers. They smell or hear the bottle being shaken, they come meowing their heads off. Shake the balsamic vinaigrette bottle? Nothing. They know what the ranch bottle sounds like.
