Well, Bets, Tiff probably knows Gunther better than you do. Is Gunther doing the cosplay just to please Bets? Because he was not into it before meeting Bets. Like he is posing for Bets’s followers to please her. He is not into it either. Let this be a wake up call for Gunther. He has been doing things to please his girlfriend. I’ve always known Bets to be a type of narcissist.

Bets seems like she’s one of those women who want control in a relationship and goes after easy going men like Gunther. I’m calling it now, Gunth and Bets will break up and Gunther and Tiff will get together. Anyone else agree?

Bets should have been honest with Tiff from the start. When Tiff told Bets about her romantic dinners for two idea, Bets should have said something like: "Yeah, that’s nice, but you know what? This place would make a great pirate cove. Forget about dinner, how about just renting me the space for an evening, so I can host a big, virtual cosplay event for my media followers? And oh yeah, Gunth will be here. He’s one of my main props and my costumer.

Because THAT. IS. ALL. BETS. WANTED!! She had no more interest in having a romantic dinner with Gunther than she would have with say Luann or Bernice.

Good thing Tiff is wearing that helmet.

This goes back to what I said before: While Tiff had good intentions, Bets had a request as a “customer” and Tiff took matters into her own hands instead. Look, I get it: Bets is something of a control freak (though compared to past characters, she’s actually not that bad), but she wanted a perfect date night for the two of them. Tiff ruined that by stepping out of bounds. Gunth is playing it all kinds of smart right now by staying out of it, though.

Looks like Gunnie is enjoying the hors d’oeuvres so on first observation score one for Team Tiffany as TJ must have done an excellent job preparing the meal. Bets needs to relax and just enjoy the dinner. If she is determined to get all of this on social media she still can and its likely she will. Truth is that Tiff probably has a better idea of what Gunther thinks is a “romantic dinner for 2” than his girlfriend while Bets appears to be just using the dinner as a way to showcase her platform on social media. It will be interesting to see if Bets goes “Mount St Helens” on Gunther if he says he likes what Tiff did or does she take a breath and allows Gunnie to enjoy the meal without further bantering between the two immoveable egos aka Bets and Tiff.

This would be Gunther’s High School FANTASY back in the day. Two beautiful girls fighting over what he wants. Sadly, sometimes I think Gunther may have been better off with Rosa in Peru. =/

Hmmm, lots of old man fantasy at play here; two women fighting over their plans for Gunther, and since so many want a breakup so Gunther can eventually satisfy their fantasy of Gunther as the romantic partner for Luann, or for Tiffany herself, just not this pushy girl of color (there I said and not sorry). I do like that Gunther appears to have his own reasonable mind here, the payoff, if there is to be one may satisfy some, disturb others, but I think it wouldn’t be a break-up, yet. This probably will have a patented GnK misdirection play coming by Saturday.

He needs to go back to wherever he went on that trip and get back with that girl there. I seem to recall that they were a good match. Whatever happened with her?

First Tiff, the customer is always right. She paid for pirates, she should get pirates and the duckduckgo could help you do it if you don’t know how.Second, I am liking Bets less and less each time she shows up.

WOW Tiffany is so way out of line! I’m surprised Bets hasn’t decked her! Where does she get off (as a supposed business proprietor) even stating an opinion? Has she ever dated Gunther? No. Have they ever gone out? No. Talked on the phone? No. Studied together? No. Yet she can tell her customer what’s going on in their relationship? So stupid. As usual the writer for this comic has their head firmly shoved where the sun don’t shine! I enjoy seeing how stupid the writing can get on this comic and this story line just took a turn for stardom.

Come on, Gunther. Don’t let your woman tell you what to do.

I like that Tiffany is not really rising to the “bait” of Bets’ anger….. Tiffany is staying pretty calm about the whole thing. That can be a difficult feat to accomplish when someone is giving you attitude.

If Bets does NOT cool down and keeps being “in Tiffany’s face” about this, here is what I would hope Tiffany does:

1. Remind Bets that this is all being done in reference to Tiffany’s school assignment. That takes precedence, and Tiffany should do this in the way she feels is best for her assignment, which appears to be that Tiffany feels it is best done in the “French Romantic” way.

2. If Tiffany accepted money from Bets (I am still thinking she did not)…. but if she did….. she should simply give it back to her and go buy a bunch of Long John Silvers.

3. Tiffany should then ask Gunther if he would still be willing to stay and help her with completing her school project….. and stay for the meal, etc.

If Bets stays all angry….. Tiffany asking Gunther to stay would surely rile her up more. But…. at this point…. what the hell? It is a sort of “poking the bear” sort of idea.

And the answers are:

1. Neither of them really know Gunther. He’s a bookish intellectual who wants to do his own things…on his terms.

2. He’s going to tell them that on Saturday, and dispense with both Bets and Tiffany.

3. He’s kind of astonished, given that he is a bookish intellectual, that two smokin’ hot women are fighting over him. Yeah, that happens every day in real life. Unless the bookish intellectual owns Google or has a $150,000 job there, smokin’ hot women are not impressed by a guy who can rattle off all the details of the Battle of Fredericksburg. That’s just a matter of fact.

An aside: I always got some of my biggest laughs when I was young, single, and desperate from reading the copy spewed out in Playboy by hacks on behalf of the Playmate of the Month. The girls all claimed they just wanted to date ordinary guys who wore t-shirts and jeans (as they would) and marry them, and live “ordinary lives.”

In reality, they all married NFL, NHL, and MLB stars, in “bridezilla” weddings, and live in a gigantic mansion. And then get divorced five years later, when they got caught cheating on each other.

It has now been 14 days since Mordy (Mordock999) has been commenting here. This is quite unusual for him and is quite a number of days longer than the last time he had a few days off due to a trip or something similar.

If Gunther makes Bets walk the plank (or vice versa), in favor of Tiff, that says something about Greg Evans’ view of “mixed” (or what used to be called “interracial”) relationships.

And it’s not good.

If he makes them BOTH walk the plank, saying, “I’m not ready for either of you,” that’s different, but I doubt that’s his mentality.

I think Greg is dragging this out for comedy/drama purposes. Look how much comment is being generated on this web page about a bunch of cartoon characters who only exist in his mind and on paper!

On March 27, Bets made her point of what she expected for her $300.00. Tiffany made her point of what she does with her business. The fact that it is her house is not important, but the fact that she does classy is important. It was an argument that never got settled at the time, and that is what lead to this failure.

There in lies the difference. Tiffany knows Gunther and I do believe that he would rather have a quiet, romantic dinner with his romantic interest. Bets didn’t plan this as a date night between just him and her, she planned this for her internet followers with the dinner and Gun being props for her “fans”.

Bets doesn’t care what Gunther or Tiffany or anyone else wants. Bets probably already promised her followers a Pirate themed event and she will lose followers/money if she doesn’t deliver. This is all about money to Bet$

I initially read Bets’ last line as “Don’t tell my man what he wants.” ..it still fits. She’s definitely the controlling, red flag type.

Tiffany admits that she knew what Bets wanted for her $300, but she made the deliberate decision simply to ignore it and do what she wanted instead. That admission should resolve any controversy from yesterday about who was right in this dispute :Tiffany is completely in the wrong here. And her reason? “This is what Gunther would really want in the way of a romantic dinner.” She’s most likely right, but — THAT DOESN’T MATTER. Bets is Tiffany’s client, not Gunther. Sure, Bets is far more interested in staging an event to interest her cosplay followers than in having an actual romantic dinner with Gunther, but that’s surely her right, since it’s her money. What Gunther would prefer, or what Tiffany thinks a romantic dinner should be, is irrelevant. Tiffany has failed her business assignment.

I don’t know why anyone is acting like Gunther is some great prize to be fought over. He’s boring, and a jerk sometimes. Kick the guys out and Tiff & Bets have a passionate fling. And hook Gunther up with Bernice for good since neither of them are ever going to really grow or change.

A pirate’s welcome it should’ve been. Something that captain Hook would’ve envied. The theme was set and she ignored it. Mutiny at its worse deserves some private time in the ship’s Brig.

Although both Bets and Tiffany keep talking about how they each know what Gunther really wants, my belief is that this fight has absolutely nothing to do with what Gunther wants or doesn’t want. It’s all about who is in control of an event that Bets wanted to post on social media (and maybe Tiffany did, too), and whether the event is as the business class assignment says (a ‘romantic dinner for two’ in a home), or a ‘pirate themed’ dinner as Bets told her ‘fans’. Gunther doesn’t even have to be there for this fight to be happening; it’s not about him, IMO…

Why is Gunther sticking his pinky finger up? And you will notice that when asked if she has ever planned a night for her boyfriend, Tiffany has no answer. That’s because she never has. She just likes butting her nose in on other peoples’ business. Seriously why doesn’t Bets give her a punch in the eye.

I don’t see that Gunther is being asked to choose between Bets and Tiff (though it is implied); it is between the dinner themes mostly. And frankly I don’t think (at this point) Gunther gives a damm. He’s just happy to eat the tasty food even if he has to do it by himself.
