Looks like We’re in for a week of Stef making snide remarks to Tiffany while doing her gosh-darnedest to be the “customer from Hell,” while boy-toy Kip does absolutely nothing about it.
And ALL of it probably culminating in a stingy dollar tip.
I was looking a the character stef and I came to realize that she was a former shell of what Tiffany used to be in high school. Now Tiffany is now in Luann’s shoes and fighting over Kip with Stef. It mirrors when her and Luann fought over with Aaron hill during their high school years.
Assuming that (as seems likely) Tiffany gets Kip and Stef’s table, I’m wondering how she’ll behave. Will she fawn all over Kip and ignore Stef, thus losing points with both of them (or anyway with Kip, since I doubt she has many points to lose with Stef)? Or will she step up her acting game, hide her irritation with Stef, give excellent service, and pretend not to notice Stef being rude and condescending to her in return (while hoping that Kip does notice)?
I noticed that the bottom half of Steffi’s logo on her top is no longer there – there was always the “M” above, and a “U” directly under it, for Moony Uni.
Actually, Stef, yours is tackier. You wear it everywhere. It is just a cheerleading uniform so why do you wear it everywhere and everyday? Because it is your identity? To assure your position as a cheerleader who is a girlfriend of a football player? How Sad! Tragic. At least Tiff wears her work uniform….at work.
If Tiffany loses her job because of this “witch” I will riot! Then it’ll be a repeated story arc because the same thing just happened with Luann. This also makes me wonder why Nancy didn’t offer Luann a job at her cafe in the first place.
Well, at least Luann was the focus for a short time, although most of the time we were focusing on Bernice. One of these days the title character of the strip will have a storyline that will actually last more than two weeks.
Tomorrow, Bernice enters and thinks she’s going to solve everyone’s problems. In the second panel Tiffany and Steff look each other in the eye, nodding in agreement. The third panel shows both of them socking Bernice in her know-it-all, buttinsky face. An optional fourth panel could show Gunther watching another girl streak across the room.
Stef you need to shutup and disappear. Besides the stupid airheaded personality and the stupid cheerleading outfit that you seem to have been wearing forever which probably stinks unless you wash it every day.
Now that I’m thinking about it it makes me wonder if Evans borrowed off that old MTV show Daria. There was a character named Brittany and that’s all she ever wore every day on every episode that she was in was the same cheerleading outfit and she had a boyfriend who was a jock and all he did was wear his football uniform every day.
I really don’t understand the town of Pitts. Its large enough to have a community college and a university, but the only place of employment is “The Fuse” and “The Fuse”’ seems to be the only source of food and/or entertainment.
Too bad Tiffany doesn’t have Bernice-level snarking abilities. I could see her responses being absolutely withering in this scenario. Of course, Stef probably wouldn’t understand half of the words, anyway, so…
Wait, costume? Calling her work uniform a costume only makes sense if Stef was part of the conversation about being a waiter/waitress was like being an actor/actress. But she wasn’t. So either she was hiding on the sidelines listening in on the conversation, or she legit doesn’t know the words for work uniform and thinks people go around wearing costumes all day.
So what is it, is Stef a creeper or an idiot?
Also, why is anyone interested in Kip. He’s hardly said two words makes him even a one-dimensional character, let alone an interesting character.
Tiffany was originally hired as a dishwasher, but talked Leslie Knox into switching positions. Tiffany felt that she can use her “acting skills” to get bigger tips. Leslie Knox enjoys being a Professional dishwasher.
I bet Kip falls for Tiffany, he does not look too happy in the last panels. And who would with Steph all the time? But then again, who would with Tiffany.

You can get them later after work. ;-) “Dirty deeds, done dirt cheap!” (Thanks, Angus).

I’m more and more sure that this can’t end well. Tiffany is unable to keep her “waitress act” with Stef. But Kip seems amused… interesting!

Maybe this is the arc where Kip cuts that bee-yotch off for good.
I sure hope so!!
kenhense about 3 years ago
Tiffany could have torched this encounter with a reply like, “Kip, is Stef being rude to me?”

Okay.
So, I cheered in high school back in the day, but we NEVER wore our uniforms out. We showered and changed into jeans and a top.
