Is this a harbinger of the return of Jules?

Oh I wanted to see the continuation of fuzzy toilet seat covers…. I miss the impending doom in that arc. However, is this the Big Spider arc or just a small bug arc? I do love the Black Widow with knives, though.

Just in time for last of July. Looks like Jules has popped in for a visit.

I love the Lady Bug’s clutch style handbag and that adorable hat with the cherries on the band. My mom had a hat almost exactly like that, only hers was navy blue.

I catch and release all bugs, insects, except flies! Although, I will even set them free if they make it to the screen door. Blah!

Hi, Jules! The ladybug looks like she’s on her way to an English village fete.

Cool looks likes we will have a July ending arc with Jules. So first, how is he going to get out from under the cup? An assist from the robber mice via a distraction?

That is the sweetest ladybug I have ever seen. They are beneficial, not just harmless, in the garden, although I used to joke with my mom that without that brilliant red coat, we would probably smash them like any other bug that got into the house.

Well, now. The black widows around here don’t carry knives. They have manners, thank you.

All bugs in my house except ants and flies are let outside the same way The Woman is doing here. Cup over top, I use a large paint chip sample on the bottom because they’re nice and stiff, and everything goes out the door to be retrieved later. I figure their little lives mean as much to them as mine does to me.

This is too easy! Surely good ol’ Jules will escape and wreck havoc! They might be * ahem * Doomed!

I have to wonder what Elvis means when he says “this one falls under ‘other.’”

I can’t fault The Woman’s classification system. My own entire entomolalalalogical taxonomic skills boils down to “Honey bee. Not a honey bee.”

If bugs were half as good as getting out of places as they are at getting in, they wouldn’t be so much of a problem.

I worked at a car dealership when I was younger, and I remember sitting in the garage one spring day, watching a dragonfly blap its face into a window over and over while the wide-open bay door it had flown in through sat not thirty feet away.

Aaaaand…Candy has 5 wiggly li’l panther bebehs, born yesterday afternoon/evening TinyKittens time. Maybe-dad Cookie was there for the first birth but then retreated to the “man cave” (the other nest cabinet). So as the old saying goes, mom & babies are doing fine; OTOH, dad is a nervous wreck!

But Jules is never caught. Could this be “Son of Jules”?

I’m willing to open a door to let a fly out but creatures that reproduce by the thousands are not house-friendly and have to go.

To be fair, there are few insects that can actually KILL people in the US. There are many that are dangerous to the elderly and small children (will make them very ill). The dangerous insects are probably more of a threat to the cats than the kids.

Man, the July Bug was nearly an August Bug this year.

July bug has been spotted and captured!

Other might kill the kids too. Can never tell with bugs, some deadly ones might want to pretend their not harmful while some not harmful ones pretend their deadly.

Thinking about it, George is a lot like that. He’s Chiuahua-Jack Russel mix (Chussel is my prefered term) and he likes to think he’s Irish Wolfhound or St. Bernard.

They must be envious that she caught the bug.

My immediate thought was “Oh my! Who could that be!”

Black widow spiders have an hourglass red mark. This one looks like it has an upside down mushroom. Different spider? Redback spiders are Australian, could it be a nod to Robin and the bug of doom?

Excellent, Georgia made us wait for the July Bug’s appearance this year. While Jules is not dangerous to children, there certainly is a lot of other trouble he can cause.

I got bitten by some weird bug Saturday and my entire forearm is still swollen.

Always my concern: can it bite or sting my cats?

Same tbhI HATE spiders and big bugs but I always need to try to capture it and put it outside as much as possible without touching it :D
