Going back just slightly, the dorm “A Hall Gang”, which Tiffany (apparently) had expected more from, sounds suspiciously like the “A** Hole Gang” Is this a coincidence ? Me thinks not. In any case, Tiffany’s making (for her) a surprising adult decision. Go girl.

Oooo, is “best Buds” Dez and Bets going to start feuding over who drove Tiffany away? We could use a good cat-fight since they are rather catty. But this is missing the person of easy virtue in the woods who has actually annoyed Tiffany.

Tiffany has become the most likeable and level headed character in this strip.This strip should do a remix like Robotman did and relaunch it as… “Tiffany” just like robotman became “Monty”

Good! Self-criticism does not fit in Bets and Dez dictionaries.

I think that’s the first time we’ve seen Dez actually criticize someone. I’m surprised she hadn’t said something about Bez’s constant videoing before – especially since she’s obviously aware that it’s an intrusion on the dorm mates’ privacy.

Tiff looks sad but resigned. This could be the biggest news since Bernice and Nil had a hormonal detonation! Let’s see if Tiff can avoid the loneliness at the manse, something she’s been plagued by since she started college.

I find it hard to believe that Bets or Dez are so ignorant as to think THEY’RE the reason Tiffany would prefer to not have to live with the girl they were ALL upset with last week, mere frames ago.

Someone should be getting that last panel on video and posting it.

Bets is all about the social aspects, not the learning. I wonder how Gunther feels about that?

Great. Stef has alienated everyone, especially Tiff, who is now moving out of the dorm … and so Bets and Dez are getting on each other’s nerves now.

Stef may not have a problem being alone with “Kippie” at this rate, because she’ll be the only one left in the quad.

This is cathartic. Granted i’m still afraid Tiff might not GET to leave after all, but for now having her brush them off is satisfying. Especially since Bets argument makes no sense. I get Dezes, while the hug thing is mildly creepy if unsolicited, she means she’ll be there to give hugs and support. But Bets.. you do know Tiff can just.. walk back to campus or stay around it after class for events right? Tiff dosen’t NEED to be on campus to have a social life. It dosen’t help it entirely, she’s a bit more isolated, but she’s capable of knowing when a parties going on just as you are of informing her. Not only that but the strip For Better or Worse, also a slice of life soap opera, had (minor spoilers for the repritns) had Mike live off campus and he was fine. He left it for similar reasons as Tiff, to escape this nonsense, and he still went to the pub plenty, found a girlfriend (his future wife) and had a life between work and study sessions. What Tiff dosen’t need is parties or a partner (though giving her an actual love intrest would be welcome, just saying). She needs someone to support her emotoinally. Neither of you are doing that and after what Stef did you both shrugged it off despite Tiff taking the brunt of it. I can’t blame her for leaving and i’m hopnig this gets them to realize they were jerks.

What did she call me? “Betspets”? Unsubscribed.

And the drama carries on…

Tiff came back to the dorms because she was lonely, and she thought she would be rooming with Dez. Instead, she gets the roommate from Hell in Stef. I know I wouldn’t stay in the dorms with Stef for a roommate, when I can easily live at home instead. So, I think Tiff is going back home to the mansion.

With quirky friends like Luanne and company, i’d rather be alone.

Uh-oh. Now it is Bets and Dez fighting…Nothing like a departing roomie to cause the remaining roomies to start the blaming.

Tiff has learned that these ladies are not her friends. Hopefully Dad won’t sell the manse and move out of state/country.

Heaven help Bets if the internet ever goes down

I wonder if the Evanses are aware that what Bets is doing is illegal in real life. If they are, then I can only assume that they apparently don’t care, and that the only objective here was to present a character that (in their odd conception of this, anyway) is “up on current trends” by being social media-connected, and a fan of “modern pop-culture”, i.e. comic-cons. Recording a person’s private actions and conversations without that person’s consent is illegal, let alone posting it on the internet, or worse, live-streaming it raw and unedited to the Internet, which is usually what Bets is doing. The “Tycoon Tiffany” debacle was a joint effort, so that doesn’t count. But I don’t recall Tiffany ever giving carte blanche approval for Bets to record her in any situation (not to mention Stef or Dez or Kip or whomever else’s private situations she decides that she might garner monetized views from). If you’re live-streaming situations where the other person has a reasonable expectation of privacy, you’re breaking the law in most if not all states. Guess the rules are different in comic-land, even for a comic that is ostensibly grounded in real life.

Now that Annie isn’t in the picture tightening the purse strings, why can’t Tiff get her private room back? Her dad had money for the Maui trip, so his financial problems must have gotten better. Sure Bets tell all your followers that Tiff will be alone in the big scary mansion. You already gave everyone her address.

I have to wonder if one of Bets’s “fans” is going to stalk Tiffany in the big lonely spooky mansion.

It was Bets, Dez, and especially Stef who ran Tiffany out!

Next thing Tiff should do is take out a restraining order against Bets.

As I said yesterday, if Bets violates if (and she probably will), her next “dorm room” will be a prison cell!!

And so the dominoes begin falling…

Yes… Bets was just fine living in the big, lonely, spooky mansion all summer…. Although I would not count on Tiffany letting Bets stay there again NEXT summer…

Good move, Tiffany. You’ll be a lot happier. Let Bets and Dez deal with Stef since they enabled her selfish behavior. Now they have her aaaaall to themselves.

This is the second time since her arrival that Dez has been showed annoyed, but this time seems way more serious than just being annoyed at Bernice’s inability to take decisions. Tiffany is gone, this is a failure for a friend. Both Bets and Dez don’t know what to do and are angry that they failed with Tiffany. I wonder why they are wasting their time like this! They have to go into the room and start throwing Stef’s precious Stuff out the door! Going to the supervisor and tell her they don’t want Stef as a roommate anymore showing her proof of how she accused them and threatened Tiffany! Why aren’t they doing this?? How long will it take before they do Have we to hope it’s someone out of this story, like Gunther, Ox, Les, Nancy, or even Luann, the one who will shows Tiffany that they are on her side? You can really see that Dez and Bets are only 18 or 19. So many good ideas and promises, but still so immatures and clueless!

Maybe its time for Luann and Tiffany to get reacquainted. They might just be friends now and not rivals.

Bets is toxic and has no sense of other peoples privacy

With Ann Eiffel brought up a lot even when she’s not in the strip, I thought up a plotline that would give her what she deserves, using her gold digging ways against her. Next time she appears, have her mention she has a much younger, rich boyfriend. Luann and her friends would be repulsed at her being a cougar, then worried about the guy she’s seeing, until it’s revealed the guy is Elwood Druit.

Seems like Dez is finally catching on to Bets and her self serving schemes. And now that Bets doesn’t need the mansion she had the run of for the summer, it’s beneath the ungrateful little snippet. Her attitude towards education says a lot, too; “Clubs! Parties! Concerts! Social Life!” She doesn’t say a word about the work it takes to get through college, though no surprise there. Not sure just who is the bigger POS, Bets or Stef.

And the gift goes on…

I never thought we’d see the day when Tiff was the most rational person in the strip. Yet…….here we are!

I hate to see Stef rewarded for her bad behavior and now getting a private room out of the deal. Though I think college students should all have smaller, individual rooms and privacy.

OK, who else besides me doesn’t like Bets? She’s annoying, selfish, and narcissistic with all of her videoing of people – without their permission – and then uploading it to her site so SHE gets $$$$ and “fame”. Did I say I don’t like her? OK, I can’t STAND her! She reminds me of “MeAGAIN Markle”

I’m thinking Tiff is going to turn the mansion into a dorm-manse.

Week of August 20, 2021. Dez convinced Tiffany to room as a quad. She wanted Stef as a roomie thinking she’d have an almost private room and a shot at Kip. Guess she decided it wasn’t worth the aggravation. I like her independence and I believe she has good business sense. Can’t wait for her next idea. Meanwhile Dez and Bets are left with Stef. That should provide fodder for the Betspets! =8-o

Boy, I should just comment first before reading other comments, but I am commenting that the punch line panel 3 really is the point of this arc, or the most important part of it. Bets and Biz are confronting each other with aggravating and self-centered behaviors that they should themselves face, but which can be just as aggravating to others and of course Tiffany. As much as people, unfairly attack Bets, her untrammeled social media abuse (yes, I admit it) is a point of issue, as to some, not me of Dez’s New Wave persona which amounts to a contradictory conundrum to totally miss this part of the possible dorm room fail. They may a decide to break up the dorm room. This is an aspect of the story that to many who can’t help projecting their own perspectives into personality drops miss. But what do I know?

A rare smart move for Tiff.

Why did Dez even invite Tiffany to live in the dorm? They weren’t close friends at the time and never have been. the only reason she invited Tiff to join her at the garden (when she brought up the dorm idea) was her annoying need to convert everyone to her earth mother way of thinking and living. It’s also likely she was looking for a rich roommate who would be happy to pay for take-out and other perks. Now I wonder how long it will take these two grifters to move in on Tiffany at the mansion out of “friendship”? I’m sure they can offer her their company in that “big spooky place”…for free, of course. And Stephanie? Stephanie got exactly what she wanted, and planned on…a private room

I feel sorry for Tiff. She alienated everyone in high school. Then it was revealed that everything was a cry for love from a never at home father which later ended up causing her to over eat and lose that cheerleader body. I thought she and Bets would become friends based on how Bets was helping her with her business class homework. Bets has Gunther, but does she have any actual girl friends? Tiff doesn’t seem to have any friends either. I would like to see Tiff develop some friends. Maybe they should introduce a new character for that part.

Honestly, i think Tiff is done, and Kip is going to see the video that Bets just posted and get the real skinny. They’ve all been treating Tiffany like trash imho. She’s been doing the right thing, or trying to – what kinda support has she honestly gotten from anyone? She’s been alone doing things alone with this tag-a-along gang riding her and pushing their agenda’s in the end on her. Not so much Dez, but Bets and Steff sure have. How will Gunther feel when he see’s this too.

I have the feeling I should back to college and do the socializing thing.

Going to college in your own home town AND living in the dorm is kind of weird. Most townies I knew chose the school and lived at home to save money. If they could have afforded it, they would have gone to a college out of town. Tiffany can afford to go anywhere, so why there?

Atta girl, Tiffany! Get out while the getting is good. I want to see the look on Stef’s face when she realizes that Tiffany (and all of Tiff’s belongings) are gone.
