Not easy to tell your BFF* about your own family matters.

*Bizarre female friend.

Buzzkill Tara! But hey, blood is thicker than water, so yeah.

Luann will just have to pry it out of him by herself. We’ll see how successful she is.

Once again she leans toward the lurid, just like she did with Gun and Bets night time activities.

Good for Tara! Despite her outward appearance as a troublemaker, she’s exactly the type of friend Luann needs—someone who encourages her but at the same time, enforces boundaries. Good on her for telling Luann to mind her own business, which she can’t seem to do herself.

Luann just ask him yourself. Like a respectful person.

It would be nice if Luann had a real friend for a change. Instead, she offers friendship to those who either consider themselves superior to her (B), or those who cause lots of trouble for themselves and suddenly turn on Luann (Tara).

Tara just tell Luann that Piro real name is Walt and he your cuz.

Good for Tara. Hopefully she and Piro will end up being real, non-disfunctional family for each other.

We are waiting for an interesting story that we’re not supposed to hear. Strip tease again.

When “Mrs.” Horner has the students resume their interviews from their earlier class (dropping the two question limit), Luann of course will start by sincerely assuring Piro/Walt that in case she asks about anything too private, she won’t take offense if he doesn’t answer.

Excuse me, Luann, but if he looks like a creep, and acts like a creep, chances are you should back off into an observation mode for awhile.

Tara probably understands that Luann would make a complete mess out of anything Tara told her.

There could be a great set of story lines about two cousins (platonically) bonding over their efforts to break away from dysfunctional families. If only …

I love that Tara isn’t a pushover! She doesn’t go around sharing other people’s personal life and she can be trusted.

Oh c’mon Tara! It’s very nice to see how her can be so serious and full of respect for the privacy of her friends and relatives (expecially when they are just in front of her), but she should have more faith in Luann, the precious friend that helped her so much. Of course, if this is just to push Luann to get to know Piro and gain his trust so that he himself can tell his story to her in a very emotional way, fine.

Tara, a young woman who is forever insisting on getting into Luann’s biz, now suddenly becomes all “Tara-Torial” now that she’s found out Walter is “family.”

Remind this “person,” that not long ago, she was making goo-goo eyes AT, and wanted to know all ABOUT, a member of YOUR family. Namely, Your brother.

So, Starr can drop the sanctimonious “act” and FESS-UP.

Sometimes even if you’re willing to gossip freely about strangers you don’t want to spread the dirt on family.

Tara is either showing respect for family here… Or knows that Walt/Piro has some juicy info on her.

Tara is another take-charge kind of no-nonsense character, who will not shy away from things that might be controversial in the Luannverse world, and certainly Piro/Walt Starr fits that arc characteristic, and it fits with Luann’s obvious need to find out about this controversial person. I think it’s good. How far it goes, or where it goes, remains subject to twists and turns of misdirection, but I think it may be bid.

Sorry Lu. He’s not your type, and not interested in a relationship right now, especially with a shallow bubblehead.

So many people never seem to get that sage advice, “Mind your own business.”

Tara is right, but then she shouldn’t have said to Luann, “His story, wow. Intense. Sad” in the first place. That’s just begging to be asked.

Tara was asking the source. Piro gets to decide who hears what about him. Luann wants gossip.

The reason LuAnn has such a short pushed up nose is because she’s always sticking it into other peoples business. She should be tending to her own business and getting HER life straightened out and fixed before she tries “fixing” other people.

Time for Luann to leave weird enough alone!

This is so rude and immature of Tara. She just told Luann she knows a interesting secret about Piro. But now Tara won’t tell her what the big secret is. What a jerk. Tara should have just told Luann that Piro is her cousin and they have not kept in touch.

Personally, I would find it annoying that someone wants to hear about my family issues as a red hot entertainment and wouldn’t share either. It’s not the same stance as consoling or giving advices.

Well, he IS family now, so that changes the dynamic..

Maybe Piro has a criminal background like Tara. Tara didn’t tell Lu a lot about her own criminal activities in the past. Disclosing stuff like this may only discourage others from trusting Tara or Piro going forward.

Last week Tara explored PW’s history without any big revelations coming out. This week it appears that it will be Luann’s turn. If she can get up the nerve, that is!

As if “None of your Biz” ever stopped Tara or Luann!

Is Luann supposed to be a self centered bimbo? She doesn’t look like the other characters. She is drawn more cartoonish than the other characters. Just wondering. I like the strip but wonder why she is drawn differently or why the others are?

So now that Tara doesn’t want to talk, I am convinced Piro truly is boring. Funny how that works, Evans.

Ok, they both have sad stories and don’t want to share about it. They recognize that and they both are in college trying to better themselves and leave the past behind. They learned from the past. Something we all should do.

looks like Ivlax’s post (early in the AM) to which there were multiple responses was taken down.

I think Tara didn’t go any further on this because such revelations might be damaging to Piro. I didn’t see this as snobbery. We know Tara did jail time – so maybe Piro did as well. The passage of time is supposed to be merciful to those who have damaged their past – distributing more dirt would likely snowball a bad rep.

Quick scan of advice/comment on should/will Luann try to find out more about the appealing, mysterious, shiny Starred object, Walt/Piro, indicate split on should, more agreement on whether, developing on if it’s a good odea for her. I think she should, bring a bit of “romantic adventure” into her otherwise drifting life. Will hearts flutter? we will see.

I’m not sure of Luann’s intentions, whether she cares for him, although she really doesn’t know him, or if she’s just after juicy gossip.If she wants to know about him, she should ask him. And there’s the message for Bernice she never received.With today’s social media, everyone seems to know everything about everyone, and think they are owed that . They’re not.

It truly is none of Luann’s business. But Tara could have put it a bit more gently. And maybe explained how hard Piro’s life had been with a kind but firm warning not try to to get romantically involved with him because he isn’t ready.

Luann should take the hint and realize how obnoxious she’s being, but I don’t think she is capable of admitting when she’s wrong. She acts like she’s entitled to know everything about everyone (whether they want her to or not). Maybe she can use those gossip-monger skills to become an advice columnist for the local newspaper? “Dear Luann, there’s a girl at my college who never does any work and spends all of her time prying into other people’s business. What should I do?”

So it was none of Luann’s business when Tara’s actions involved (a) Luann losing her job at Lincoln Elementary School and (b) Luann helping her avoid her dangerous cousin and squat at “The Fuse” (which ended violently). Got it, Tara. Thanks.

Maybe Luann should join Nancy and Bernice’s bookclub. She seems desperate for hot, steamy stories. Or maybe the only way she can get her kicks is by enjoying someone else’s misery.

Thank you for keeping someone’s trust. It is so rare these days. Actually, it’s always been just rare….

Luann has family that she is close to, two parents (with whom she lives) and a brother plus extended family since Brad is married. Up until now, Tara has had no family that she could talk to or be with. Now suddenly there is a family member who is trying to get on a straight path and with whom she is trying to connect. You can bet she is not going to do anything to jeopardize that relationship (with Piro) which has just begun; he is the one piece of family she now has and she is protective of that. Tara will not betray the trust that Piro has in her. I don’t think Luann realizes all of this; Luann is too used to having family and doesn’t know what it is like to be without.

Luann looks like a desperate fool and Tara is a hypocrite. She is all up in Luann ‘s business quite frequently. Unless we see Piro develop a personality besides being broody, he’s not worth pursuing.

This is actually an interesting twist. They were all encouraged to learn someone’s story for the assignment, but Tara’s tune changed once she knew Piro was family. That’s a conflict I’d like to see play out.

It really isn’t Luann’s business. If she wants to get to know Piro, like a real friend, she should talk to him.

Zing! Tara’s My Girl today! Luann is so self-centered and increasingly stupid as she regresses….

Tara is such a hypocrite, she has NO problem inserting herself in others lives, demanding EVERY juicy and scandalous detail. Yet when her friends wanna know about her life and family, tara has NO hesitation when she tells them to FO.

I get Tara’s will to respect privacy but she could be less rude about it
