So many questions left unanswered. Like, did Bets only come to the dorm because the party was over? When it sounded like she was screaming for Stef in the middle of the party. And just like that she’s ready to move it. Why wasn’t the room reassigned when she was a no-show in August / September? Did she pay for the dorm room in advance? What did she do with Gunther? What will she do with Gunther? And what about Kip. Has he lost his room away from his room?

So – from boiling point to forgive and forget? Or maybe just forget? I don’t think I like the ‘new’ Bets, whose main purpose in life is pleasing her man, any more than I like the old Bets who shared private life with total strangers. And I couldn’t just shrug off someone adding to a mess in a relationship and move into a dorm room with her. Too crazy…

I’m surprised that Bets is letting it go, but I am not surprised that Stef found a use for the vacant top bunk. Bets is too late to start classes for the semester, so I didn’t expect her to go back to the dorm. A new arc is certain to begin Monday. Maybe the focus will be on Brad and Toni.

What a bunk storyline…

None of this is surprising to me, in fact I predicted it. The first thing, and this for all you Bets haters out there I remembered that Bets solved the emerging roommate issue between Tiffany and Steph, by agreeing to be Steph’s roommate for the upcoming semester. Second, it would end hilariously, with no Thrilla in Manila beatdown. Third, Bets wasn’t going anywhere permanent, it was just an adventure discomfiting for Gun, but satisfying for her, but she is, as she said Gunther’s gf and is very much in love; finally, those hating Bets might want to search themselves.

7" heels? Is she moving from cheerleader squad to gymnastics? ;-)

Hopefully. everyone survived Black Friday and got some great deals. I’m looking forward to Monday’s fresh, new strip. ;)

Bets. You weren’t even a student. You’re a guest and if you’re sleeping there you’re illegally sleeping in the dorm you hadn’t occupied since school started unless you never bothered to withdraw and get a refund which I doubt you did considering how thrifty you are with money. Why not go back to Gunther’s unless you are honoring Irma’s order not to sleep there anymore?

That looks like my desk when I returned from working at home to working back in the office, but it was piled with file sorters, boxes of old binders, and plenty of dust. Like Bets’ bed, it was a vacant, flat surface, and it was used to dump all sorts of stuff that the supply room didn’t want, and I ended up being ordered to throw it all in the dumpster. Maybe it is time for Stef to purge some of that stuff, too.

I take back what I said yesterday. If this is how the arc ends, I’m glad it’s over!!

Bets has been living in a camper for months. Surely she will be comfortable there for another few days until the dorm room is fit to move back I to. Whether Stef will be fit to live with is another matter.

At the very least, it’s up to Steffi to clear off the top bunk.

Otherwise, Bets should just crash in the lower bunk and let Nature Take Its Course from there….

Yes, seriously Bets. You arrived, unexpectedly, at the party to surprise Gunther. Without letting your roommate know. Of course Steph didn’t clear the top bunk. You didn’t ask her to or even give her an ETA heads up. I dislike Steph but the world doesn’t revolve around either of them.

So did Kip not attend the party? Where the heck is he?

That double decker bunk brings back not-so-fond memories of life in a barracks. Let’s move on, please

I know people are surprised at the quick resolution but I’m not it’s been a pattern for a while to build things up then skip any conflict or climax. I miss the drama….good arcs. I went back to read the “locked in the library with Aaron hill storyline” just to feel something, crazy that was 1999. I was 3 years old

First off, Bets, what were you expecting when you were gone for almost 3 months? Second, Tiffany could tell you a thing or two about Stef and Kip’s questionable/inconsiderate post-fun-time clean-up skills; so be very grateful Miss Yams didn’t turn on forensic lightbulbs, cause the results would be truly shocking.

Also I called it, I knew that Stef would get off scot-free, for some reason the Evanses tend to only very rarely let the baddies get a punishment. It’s like they want them to be really offputting and terrible at every opportunity but somehow allow them to be part of the group (like Stef going to Tiff’s party after calling her and Dez fatties)

All those multi-inch heels, where is room for the crutches and walker?

Peace made. Maybe too soon, but it’s clear that Bets is too tired to hold a grudge and she wants to go back to sleeping on a real bed instead of continuing an argument. But I think that the story of the photo posted will remain in Bets’ mind, ready to snap at the next dumb thing that Stef does to her or to one of her friends. Stef will end up sharing a room with Dez, probably achieving to make her angry too one day. I’m really happy to see Bets back in the dorm.

I’ve been where Bets is. Me and my roommate had a near fight once, but after we talked, we called a truce and went to our respective rooms (It was also late night for us). Next day, tensions were there, but we decided to let it go. In Bets and Stef’s case, Bets will be watching Stef closely, but Stef will continue as if nothing happened because her world revolves around her mirror, not other people. I know a lot of people were hoping for a good catfight, but Bets taking the high ground was a smart move. For one, Stef wouldn’t learn her lesson. Two, yeah you get your aggression out and instill fear on your target, but now you’re seen as a short-fused jack-hole. Three, uni dorms don’t typically tolerate such “confrontations” and Bets could be evicted as a result. All in all, it’s lose-lose for Bets to throw hands.

A large part of “all that drama” is because of Stef.

Bets was paying for campus housing while on the road? I assume she was paying for food service and class fees as well- she must have more money than I thought!

??? Most colleges start their semesters late August or early September. Bets missed Fall semester. I get the impression G&K didn’t go to a university.

@mgl179 sub ‘Steph’ for ‘Bets’ in your last comment and you would be more correct. IMO, Social media followers are generally looking for something they don’t have in their lives.

At least Bets and Steff are on even ground. They both give sh*t equally. Tiffany’s character was really timid around Steffanie and never stood up for herself, whereas Bets isn’t intimidated by her at all.

Wasn’t enough hair pulling or eye scratching.

So Bets must have been paying for her dorm room since August. And the school would only let current students rent rooms, so Bets must also be a current student. I hope she was able to keep up with her classes when she was on the road.

Stef had no idea when Bets was coming home. If Bets would have given her any warning at all, Stef could have cleaned up the dorm to make room for Bets. This is all Bets fault again for not communicating with anyone.

I just wanna know how steff walks in 7" high heels…

Bets has been sleeping in her van for the last 3 months. She can surely sleep in it one more night.

So Bets takes a road trip and Stef uses the top bunk as personal space to put boxes and extra stuff.

Bets’ mattress is half the thickness of Steffanies’ – she’ll need to purchase an upgrade, or are Steffi’s shoes really heavy? LOL!

Betts sleeps in the van one more night. Steff “graciously offers” too clean off the top bunk in the morning, while awaiting the shoe racks ordered from Amazon.

Wow, so G&K have once again done the “promising setup that fizzles out to nothing” route. My hoping for Stef to face any comeuppance was just expecting too much. It’s almost impressive how such a good beginning (with Bets’s “STEFANI BIRD, WHERE ARE YOU?!?”) was so utterly squandered. It’s like doing a quadruple axel in figure skating, and then skating face-first into the wall afterward.

Really? Crocs? A couple of years ago, I worked as a temp helping to set up a new shoe store in town. When the shoe truck finally arrived and I saw the number of sheer number of Crocs, I snarkily suggested we put them in the yellow temporary storage bin just outside the back door (AKA the dumpster).

I’m confused.

Finally, an end to the madness of Comic with a Message. Which messed up all the Thanksgiving potential. On to the Real Holidays! Where we care about the Xmas message other than ugly sweaters and garage-bound mugs and stuff we actually want from people with a CLUE about our hobbies, (I love gloves, scarves and hats) and have actual fun on New Years and drink Smirnoff coolers with Amaretto chasers till puked in parents’ basement toilet and make resolutions on lined paper that we take seriously for one nanosecond. Does Greg do Alcohol?

I wanted to express my outrage at how steph gets away all the time with being such a **** but there’s so many comments already, what’s the point? Who will read through them all to mine?

So Bets had to have remained a student at this college, even while she was driving to Toronto or whatever. Did her professors have any idea where she was? Did she remain enrolled? If this school could afford an RA for this dorm I bet they wouldn’t let Bets keep her room!

Stef is exhibiting seriously narcissistic and abusive behavior. Controlling, selfish. And Bets isn’t much better, though she did finally kill the vlog.

What a let down. From 100 mph to 0 in two seconds just doesn’t happen and shouldn’t have here either. Start chucking boxes or go to Gunther’s and shack up again.

WOW…..Seriously? What even was this whole week? It went nowhere, she left Gunther to go yell at Stef, and then….just nothing. No one was held accountable for anything, nothing was actually resolved. This was a waste of everyone’s time.

That is not really uncommon. At least it’s not a loose pile of assorted junk and laundry.

When Bets left the party, I thought it was just to find Steph. Gunther is still at the party, waiting for Bets to come back.

The same university that kicked a full-ride scholarship student out of the dorm once her RA job got eliminated (for those unaware, a full-ride covers room and board by definition) and made all their residents use keycards somehow held a dorm spot open all semester on the off chance a particular student might suddenly decide to resume her education.

Yes, this is just a comic. But, in my mind, “Gun,” is too macho (and kind of a goofy one) a nickname for Gunther.

t’s very possible Bets enrolled for the semester on-line, paid on-line and took her classes on-line as many schools went in that direction after COVID struck. She probably knew she would be back. Gunther obfuscated everything upon his return, which became obvious as things unfolded. Just go back to ehen he returned and follow the story line, ignoring all the reader comments.

Whether or not Stefani knew that Bets was returning, is irrelevant other than to show she was too lazy to store things away – wherever they were stored when Tiffany was her roommate. It would only take a couple of minutes to stack the boxes elsewhere for the night.
