Having said that, I know another joke about Milk Duds, but I probably shouldn’t say it here, or in mixed company.

It’s nice to see them bonding in a whimsical moment after all the drama of late.

Anyone ever read the story that is nothing but candy bar double entendres?

Somehow they avoided mentioning the candy most associated with Easter. Peeps is about as silly a candy name as there is (nobody remembers Zagnut today, either).

“Thanks for the candy, kid.”

What the two don’t know is Shannon snuck an Ex-lax tablet in each piece of candy to teach them a lesson? Now she can get her real Easter basket and enjoy her candy in peace. (◠‿◠)

Milky Way was named after a popular malted Milk drink of the day, Butterfingers was named after sportscasters were beging using the term “butterfingers” to describe plyers who could not hold on to a ball. Tootsie Roll was named after the man who created Tootsie Roll daughter Clara who was nicknamed Tootsie. Baby Ruth is named after a deceased U.S. Presidential daughter, Ruth Cleveland, Reese’s Pieces is named after it’s creator Harry Burnett Reese.

If that was Shannon’s Easter haul, they are dead meat.

If you are what you eat, all three of them must be very sweet.

Shannon must wait ’til after breakfast before she can have candy.

With this much of a sugar rush, maybe they’ll have a massive sugar crash afterwards.

I miss OhHenry! bars. The Ferrara Candy Company bought the brand and others from Nestle’s in 2018 and stopped making OhHenry! in 2019. Canada’s OhHenry is not the same recipe as the U.S.

As a child I always recieved a very large elaborately decorated hard sugar shelled egg that had a viewing window on one end with an intricate panoramic (diorama) scene inside. They were quite beautiful and I never wanted to break or eat them, and kept them for months (usually until my father complained of keeping food in my bedroom which could potentially draw insects). I haven’t seen them in ages. Lots of little chocolate eggs, malted milk eggs, jelly beans and a solid chocolate rabbit in my basket too, but the fancy sugar egg was always special.

We always go to See’s candy to get candy for Easter. They have many kinds of chocolate Easter eggs, but rocky road is my favorite

Seeing Bernice and Luann laughing like this together is always wonderful. This looks a bit like a sort of Easter miracle, even if recently the relations between the two seem to have improved, with Luann alway comforting, forgiving and supporting her friend. This Sunday they seem to be partners in crime in the raid of Shannon’s Easter basket… Well, at least they left her the two eggs.
