Well, it seems we have at least one more day of feasting in the Grumbling Room before we can emerge once again without fear of having silly soap operas thrust upon us.

(My extravagant mansion? I think you have a shock coming up, Snowball, “bad heart” notwithstanding! Your daughters are kind, they will probably let you continue living there. Probably.)

Other than the traditional New Year’s menu (at least in the south of the USA) of ham, greens and black-eyed peas, there are many options on the Grumbling Room tables. What are other people’s/countries’ traditional New Year’s Day menus?

Angora is still a loving daughter. Maybe she can set up an apartment over the carriage house for her father. Otherwise, he might end up rooming with That Guy Brad! Except Brad will probably drop him like a hot potato once Angora is no longer on the market.

Diana Filly: I know who we can ask. Violet-Ifa’s descendant Violet might know.

Happy Mew Year! And it’s happened again.

In the wake of last night’s fireworks barrage, I went out this morning to feed the yard cats, and found an unknown cat. Unlike last New Year, this cat was not a kitten (yay!). I set out an extra bowl for the newbie, but s/he wouldn’t come near the bowl while I was out there, so I don’t know if the cat ate.

I’m hoping the cat will be able to find its way back home. If not, s/he will be welcome to hang out here.

Today’s episode reminds me of the ending of “Overboard” with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell.

Oh for Cat’s Sake. Who ever adapted Wuthering Heights for this Pawmark drama definitely did so from the Fell off of the CliffsNotes version. (For the children in the audience, CliffsNotes was the internet search version of study guides for books before the internet.)

The only thing that could salvage this whole mess now is if Carol Catnett, Vicky Tabby, Harvey Chartreux and Lyle Wiggle Tail, came back and did a parody of this parody, complete with curtain and curtain rod ball gown.

Snowball, your extravagant mansion has just been zoned as a municipal parking lot. Sometimes there is justice.

I wonder if Angora will convert the mansion into an orphanage? And she and Kit could run it together. It would be so loving and romantic. ❤️

I just keep thinking that this could be spun off into a show about three villains who end up as housemates, and hilarity ensues.
