    Maybe that’s why ‘The Flintstones’ had all those vehicles and appliances similar to modern ones: After petroleum is gone, people and animals provide the motive power for them. And before that, Jurassic Park creatures ran wild in a warmer world. Never view ‘The Flintstones in quite the same way again
 (And the Trumpists had successfully banned all solar power research
)

    There is still hope for the future. With a little luck maybe JD Vance will save us from Trump by poisoning his coffee. Then, with a whole lot of luck, the justice system will save us from Vance by arresting him for murder.

    Some people will remain loyal to murderous dictators no matter what the dictator does; a good example was the Jewish Nazis in WWII; they stayed loyal and served Hitler even when their own families were being sent to the gas chambers.

    There is still hope, the DOGE cuts continue to be challenged in the courts. Trump’s approval rating is dropping (albeit not in every poll). In January, in a special election, a Democratic candidate won an OH State Senate seat in a district Trump won in November. And, in April, there will be two special Congressional elections in Districts One and Three (the latter being Matt Gaetz’s old district), if the Democrats win both elections, they will go from a 215 seat minority in the House to a 217 seat majority. IDK if they will win both seats, but if Trump continues to tick off our allies and tank the economy I expect the Democrats to win back the House and/or Senate in 2016 and (hopefully) the White House in 2028. Tyranny always has an expiration date.

    Wiley usually does pretty great toons, with light humor and a touch of silly. But today, another anti Trump cheapshot political toon, definitely a big disappointment. BTW, those tech “oligarchs” that are being trashed recently, have pioneered and brought to life, and a service for the very many technologies we enjoy and are using here today.

    NEWS FLASH—It is being reported that Vladimir Putin and Elon Musk have reached a joint custody agreement regarding their child, Donald Trump. While details of the joint custody agreement have not been made public, Putin and Musk issued a joint statement saying that, in the end, they agreed to do what is right and best for themselves and their criminal empires when it comes to decisions regarding their little boy, Donald. Repeating our top story

    All the comments talk about 4 years from now. 10000 (ten thousand) days in the future is 27+ years. One thousand days is 2.7 years or so. Who knows who will be around then?

    In his final remarks to the American people on 1/15/25, Biden claimed that the “tech oligarchy” was taking over the country. His arrogance and hypocrisy wasn’t lost on all those who languished under the program of social media censorship for the previous four years — a program largely forced on tech companies by the Biden White House via pressure from the FBI, as an example of the very kind of merging of government and corporate power Biden then claimed to oppose. The so-called tech oligarchs learned there is no appeasing progressive Democrats who seek control over what Americans are allowed to say and to read on social media.

    Ironically, this makes Biden’s Democratic Party the ultimate oligarchy: one in which the politically powerful sought the ability to suppress dissent. Neither Biden nor the other elites within his party cared to castigate the leaders of this vital economic sector as threats to the Republic until they shrugged off Democratic control. That D-Party voters are still in denial about this is telling.

    Musk’s plan is for all of us “less desirables” to serve as indentured servants on Mars. Our only way off of the planet he’s currently destroying will be as chattel on his colonizing spaceships. If we stay behind, we’re doomed; if we go with him, we’re slaves.

    These two obviously escaped the purge and are surviving in the wilderness.

    LOL it IS funny. There have been similar SF stories for decades, I think some in which time turns out to be circular and the last two people of the future become Adam and Eve and it all starts over. I think it would be funny to have story where a time machine is invented but they give up on it because they keep setting it for the ancient past and it keeps fritzing out when they set it for much more than 6,000 years. ;)
