Well, Tiff is out of there!!

I wish she would treat Ox a little better. Maybe offer him a beverage or give him a tip?

It’s strange how Ox is drawn differently all the time. Today, it looked like they slimmed him down and tried to make his face more handsome. Tiff should take him out to lunch some time and not ALWAYS just contact him when she needs a favor.

So who begs her to return to campus first?? lol

I feel sorry for Ox. Tiffany uses him whenever she needs him but then shuts him out the second she doesn’t need him anymore.

Other unasked questions: Did she tell her father that she’s moving back to Ferrell-a-largo?

Did she make any effort to get a refund on her dorm fees? That’s a lot of money to leave on the table.

Who cleans the house and cuts the grass when she’s away. Who will cook for her now that she’s at home. Will it all be delvery pizza and chocolate ice cream (We know where that lead to.)

Maybe its just me but I’m reaaaally hoping something happens while she’s there alone (attempted burglary) and either she calls Ox or she calls the Fuze or someplace and it gets back to him and he takes off to help her

They are not intended to get together. Ox totally blew it in the Tiff’s Table for Two arc, where he and Tiff wound up sharing the table and TJ’s gourmet meal. Ox acted like he didn’t even realize he was there with Tiff. G&K have nixed these two.

That said (above), pretty sad that she didn’t even offer to spring for pizza or anything!

He’s in the friend zone. Deep in the friend zone.

Tiff & Ox are in the friend lane and not the Boyfriend/Girlfriend lane.

Commenters have been flirting with a Tiffany-Ox relationship for quite a while now. Oxford is obviously enamored and Tiff is apparently oblivious to his feelings.

Has a weird vibe to it, though. If not handled carefully it could devolve into some kind of Beauty and the Beast Fairy tale or worse a Quasimodo-Esmeralda morality tale. 8^ (

For the last time, Tiffany doesn’t owe anyone anything (unless there is some contract involved?) and that includes her male friends. Stop objectifying her, she is making decisions in her own best interest, and has every right to do that.

Now it is October….and Tiff is back at her mansion…I am feeling the vibe of a HALLOWEEN arc! Some spooking is gonna come….

And with the door’s “click”, danger is afoot in the big, empty mansion. Tiffany will be the damsel in distress, and Ox the mighty hero, will save the day

Ox seems to look younger today. Perhaps it is because he has been avoiding all the dorm drama.

Yes, it’s just sooo terrifying to have a big comfortable family home all to yourself, Ox thinks. Poor Ox.

Third panel was not very nice of Tiffany. No reward, no hug, no handshake. Just used Oxford’s good nature and that was it.

I’m still trying to figure out why Tom keeps that huge empty house. It’s just him and Tiffany and he’s never home to enjoy it.

I half expected Tiffany to get a phone call from her Dad saying “Hey, I’ve decided I don’t need the house so I’m downsizing to a one-bedroom condo.”

Gee, Tiffany… At least buy him dinner before you EFF him over…

Tiffany is closing the door in front of Ox for the second time. This time she wants to be alone and she probably won’t want to see anyone for a long, long time. I’m sorry for our sweet Oxford, but it’s understandable. Probably the only one who can get Tiffany to reopen the door and talk is Gunther. I hope that hearing that his great friend is in crisis he will run to talk to her, as she always does when he has a problem. Tiffany can live alone if she wants to, but doing it because of Stef’s horrible behaviour and Bets and Dez’s insensitivity is really sad.

Being alone isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. I hope she doesn’t fill the mansion with pizza and donut boxes out of boredom and loneliness.

Personally, I hope she doesn’t go back to the dorms. I also wish she would treat Ox better. She has to know he has a crush on her. Can she be that clueless? I guess only time will tell.

I really don’t want to take too much away from today’s installment. But Tiff coming home to the mansion, seemingly a bit distracted, reminds me of my getting home for the first time after my wife’s funeral. Today’s strip just HIT me I guess. My little seven room house just seemed so big and quiet all of a sudden.

I think Bets and Dez are going to come after her.

This one actually brought tears to my eyes today. Ox is such a good person. Does he help Tiffany because he is just so wonderfully decent or does he have a crush on her? If I ever live long enough to see this comic end, I want Tiffany to finally grow up and see how great Ox is. I want Ox to be wildly successful at something and end up marrying Tiffany with both of them really happy together

Wake up, Tiff! True love is standing right in front of you!

OK so, She thanked him twice, even acknowledged a joke about her ‘Cop Ox’ on speed dial, then thanked him and as he told her to LOCK UP AND SET THE ALARM, she went inside and locked the door behind her.

Just because she does not see that he has more than friend feelings for her is not her being selfish or rude.

It’s OK, Ox. The juice is not worth the squeeze.

I still think she will come back to the dorm eventually. The mansion is drawn so cavernous, which is an artistic way to show loneliness. A cue perhaps? Another is the actual transition is shown on Wednesday. But on Ox and Tiff, a variation of the shy, immovable mountain, and Tiff, a variation of the self-absorbed irresistible object. Seems doomed the sweet sadness of a possible relationship, that might fulfill each other so much. Things percolating, I think.

So, once again Tiffany (Lucy) pulls the football away from Ox (Charlie Brown). This re-run is getting old, disappointing, and boring. It is time for some sort of catalyst to be introduced that will bring Tiff and Ox physically and emotionally together.

Tiffany was very nice to Ox today! She thanked him sincerely, she walked him to the door and she touched him on the arm. He told her to lock up and she did. Ox seems like a “slow talker”. If he had anything to say to Tiffany, he should have said it before she closed the door.

It could be that Tiffany was discourteous to Ox due to her finally getting away from all the distractions and unpleasantness she has been dealing with and just wanted to rest and enjoy the peace and quiet. However, she has been at least borderline rude to him before. She seems to see Ox as a muscle man who has nothing to do but protect her and move things. Maybe after she gets some down time she will realize that she isn’t treating her friend well. Or is Tiff just a jerk? She seems otherwise to have matured very well. She really hasn’t made any close friends; maybe that will be her next step in growing up. Learning to trust others and giving her trust in return.

Ox needs hair—if he had hair she would actually notice him for a minute.

I am AMAZED at how many people think that Tiffany owed Ox some kind of additional gratuity beyond her very sincere thank you and telling him how much he is appreciated! You all act like she should have given him a big old bj for helping her move. If he wants to be her love puppy then that’s his business. She is not obligated to return those feelings if she doesn’t have them. What is the matter with people! And GK, please don’t make them a couple in the future because that would mean Stephanie was right and that would be horrible.

Ah, I see G&K decided that Tiffany was looking too sympathetic. So they decided for a repeat of that thing where she’s made to look selfish and self-centered because she doesn’t reward Ox’s assistance with sexual favors and/or a Relationship Upgrade. Because we all know that if you’re interested in a woman but don’t want to tell her so, you just help her out enough times and then she’s obligated to return your affections (even if she doesn’t know you even have said affections, because why else would a guy help her out, right?)

Far from reflecting badly on Tiffany, this plot device reflects badly on G&K instead.

Dependable, caring, smarter than he may look and probably a good hugger. Tiff really takes him for granted. She has matured and improved in many areas, but not in how she mistreats Ox. I wouldn’t be surprised if he camps nearby to watch out for her. 8-/

Unrequited love sucks. I’ve been on both sides of the situation. But, there is no obligation to reciprocate…even if the guy is a sweetheart.

Has anyone (besides me) thought that maybe Tiff does know that Ox has a crush on her? But since she doesn’t feel that way about him, she doesn’t want to inadvertently give him any encouragement? Inviting him out to lunch or dinner, asking him to hang around with her at the mansion——all that could be easily misinterpreted.

I don’t think Tiff was rude or mean to Ox today. I don’t know why G&K decided to repeat the Tiff-closes-the-door-in-Ox’s-face routine. I guess they think it’s funny.

She likes Oxford but doesn’t really SEE Oxford.

She sure seems to be taking it well that she just split from the dorm and people and activities and so on. Wonder what Tom will say? And if Bets ever tries to wangle living space in the mansion again I’m gonna riot.

Hmm… I see that the mansion has reawakened the old Tiffany.

In the meantime, Ox decides not to wash his right chest where Tiffany touched him.

Why is everyone thinking someone is going to break into the Mansion on her? It’s in a gated community, probably with guards too. She was fine there all summer. A thief smart enough to go break into a house like that would learn her schedule and go while she’s at school anyway. Nor has there ever been a burgherly story line before.

More likely, Tiff’s dad will come home without notice and either catch her having a pool party with a frat house, in bed with a frat boy or …. be sneaking the next Mrs. F into the house without telling Tiff.

Ox has been the only one in this arc showing Tiffany any regard. How sad for him.

Tiffany will be awakened by a noise. She sneaks downstairs armed with a hairbrush to find Tom and Ann coming in the door and immediately moves back to the dorm.

Cold. Nothing hurts so much as trivial affection from the girl you’re beginning to crush on. Poor Oxford!
