There must be something else going on here. The obvious is just too prurient for a family strip. Two days left to square this away.

We thought Stef would experience karma, instead Kip is experiencing the Kama Sutra.

I’m tired of Stef. I’m tired of Kip, Tiffany and this plot that has run for two or three years without advancing any. G&K are stuck in a rut as bad as Brooke on 9 Chickwood Lane. It’s time to pull the plug on the Quad and find something else to write about.

Like so many young men, it would seem that Kip is being led by his…physical desires. He and Stef do not share a thought in common, and until she reappeared, I got the impression he was beginning to realise it. Perhaps he and Tiff wouldn’t get together, but he might have parted from Stef. Still, who knows!

So much for Kip wanting someone better. He’s just in it for the sex. Really pitiful.

Tiffany, you can do better than this. Work instead on your degree, continue waiting tables, take vacations with Dad, and look toward your future while this pitiful moron sticks with Steph and ruins his own life with a miserable relationship, marriage, and family.

Tif should show some class & find someone NOT in a relationship if she wants someone that bad.

At some point kip will have had enough of Stef and her drama. That doesn’t mean he’ll graduate towards Tiff.

There is a rumor on the other site that this turgid triangle will soon turn into a square. But who is the fourth person who might test the bonds of which pairings, Kip and Stef, Kip and Tiff or Stef and Tiffany? Since we can rule out the last, that means another girl, which makes sense since a quad dorm room calls for four girls. Of the limited number of girls left in the strip I think we can rule out the previously expelled Tara. Bernice still doesn’t have the money to pay for a dorm so that leaves Luann, who is prettier than Tiff or Stef, smarter and fresh meat. And would solve the “Luann” problem in a strip named for a character rarely appears in it anymore.

At some point playboy Kip would have enough of Cheerleader Stef and go looking for Tiff and she be with another man.

Tiffany’s desperation and delusions are getting worse. Someone needs to check her mental state cause I’m seeing Blanche DuBois/Norma Desmond type delusions growing. Yep, Kip’s obviously covertly planning to make Tiffany “his girl” and desires her rather than Stef. I mean, it’s only rational that Kip would currently be enthusiastically and loudly doing Stef in the next room and not showing any proactive signs of ending things with Stef.

…Tiffany needs to get out more and have more options. She sees Stef’s sloppy seconds as an elegant gourmet meal. Tiffany, do you really want the constant reminder of where _IT_’s been? I know I wouldn’t! The guy isn’t even that interesting, remarkable, or worth the effort.

Also can G&K please move on? This whole “Dez and Tiffany casually overhear and react to loud sex” thing is a gag that’s really worn out its welcome! It’s at a point where it’s getting nasty and overindulgent.

She’s a flexible cheerleader with an empty head. Kip ain’t giving that up any time soon.

Bet you guys she is only scratching his head or back. My hubby sounds like Kip when I scratch his back. I think Stef is deliberately doing this to rile Tiff up. And I think Tiff is blocking out the noises from the room, pretending nothing is going on in there. She is in denial.

It’s rather difficult to complain about a lack of character development, or a lack of good character, in the characters of a comic strip. If they seem flat and two-dimensional, one cannot argue because that is exactly the nature of their medium. The best one may hope for is some comedy or drama by which the readers’ imaginations may lift them off the page into some imagined reality of greater depth. Sadly, even these features have been lacking for some time already. One may wonder if Karen is experimenting with the readers to see what outrages them or bores them or evinces some other consistent complaints. Perhaps that may guide her in developing amusing or entertaining story arcs that will retain existing readers and attract new ones. Certainly there has been much negative response about commercializing story arcs like that of the G&B road trip. There have been responses indicating various dissatisfactions and readiness to cease following this strip altogether. Only a slim vestigial hope of improvement keeps some of them from immediate complete disaffection.

I’m just going to drop this idea here. What if Stef is fully clothed and is showing him some of the gymnastics she learned at cheerleading camp?Rerun it. It works.

Tiffany is probably right about what Stef is doing and why. But it’s sad to see how totally sure she seems that Kip is pretending just to please Stef. She has convinced herself that Kip is a kind of guy he’s not and that he could become hers. Unfortunately, in this she’s no different from the Tiffany of the past, convinced that she would have had all the boys she liked even if they had others. But now she’s kind of justified because Kip is sending her mixed messages. Let’s hope Dez (and Betd and Luann too) will be there for confort her the day she’ll finally understands the truth.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: Stef is only good for one thing, and that’s “having a good time.” The thing about us guys is when we’re at that age (I’m guessing he’s also 19 or 20), we tend to let our libido do the talking. That being said, eventually, we DO get bored no matter how "skilled’ the girl (let’s be real: Stef is NOT a woman. Too much growing up to do) is. Eventually, Stef’s novelty will wear off and Kip will drop her. Just not yet.

at first I was mad and disappointed and had to walk away (I know a bit dramatic and a touch too invested for a comic strip ;P) but then I had a thought… What if she is showing him some cheer moves, toe touches, back bends… all the moves she thinks Tiffany can’t do, and then Tiffany reminds them all that she is that B… and can do it too!

Oh Tiff, Kip is a player and user who is only out for what he can get and that’s all. He used you for free comfortable housing over the summer and now he is back with Stef. Find someone better.

Does Tif really WANT Kip, or does she just want to show that she CAN get him? He’s nice to her, flirts with her sometimes, but other than that shows no real interest in her. I think he would fool around with her and not have any problems doing so behind Stef’s back, but other than that I don’t think Kip is looking for anything serious with either of them. He’s young, good looking, and in the prime of his life. Tif needs to take a serious look at him as a person and her as a person and decide what she wants for her life. Until Stef started flaunting in her face, Tif didn’t seem interested in any boy, or having a relationship with anyone period. Now all of a sudden she wants everyone to see/know that Kip finds her attractive. I would love to see her put a stop to his flirting and focus on herself. And where’s Ox????
