Poor Elvis. He’s being attacked with those fake baby pictures. What a chubby lil ball of fur! I love Lupin’s gaping mouth smile though. He’s drinking it in.

Elvis baby pictures? These are clearly unauthorized! If it weren’t for Very Serious News Reasons, they would have no business being broadcast at all!

I missed this when this strip first ran, but it appears Elvis has been friends with Clucky Chicken for a very long time.

So important to take lots of “baby pictures” of kittens. They grow so quickly. My favorite phase is when the startle reflex develops, and they “puff up” at the slightest provocation for a couple of days. It’s also great fun to watch them learn to pounce and tussle. And their first “real meal” of food provided by their human servants is a momentous occasion.

I’m with Uncle Snipe and Brian. Those are fakes generated by AI, and the intruder has brought them to provoke unrest and dissension in the news team. The boys were right to suspect her.

I can’t believe Elvis was ever a little kitten. He’s way too serious all the time. I can imagine he’s mortified by this new event.

Lupin certainly seems to be enjoying the photo montage. I’m going to bet Lupin will be commenting to Elvis about how “cute” he was for days.

On a side note a friend and I were volunteering at a local wildlife refuge when a guy brought in a “possible baby possum, or raccoon, or something.” It was a Siamese X kitten! She named him Dusty and adopted him. He had a big full belly so, after our shift we went to her apartment and used a warm wet cloth to stimulate him to pee, it wasn’t working so we settled in, him laying across her chest, to watch some tv and try again later. So of course, he peed aaaalllll over her shirt :D I laughed hysterically for several minutes, of course.

He too became a Mama’s boy, but I am afraid the role of Mama’s special little boy had already been filled. Thankfully by a cat who eventually accepted Dusty into the family.

Still love that expression on Lupin. If everything Elvis does is dignified, then we might need to expand the definition of the word a bit.

Georgia, this is my all time favorite strip! I adore Baby Elvis. I even ordered a print of this strip from Go comics.

Nice attention to detail, having Elvis’s siamese markings being much more subtle in his youth, as is usually the case with siamese cats.

Georgia posted on Facebook that originally she had wanted to show pictures of the other cats as kittens too. She said maybe some day she would get back to it. We did see Puck when he was pretty small in the same flashback as we got to see teenage Elvis. And speaking of teenagers she said she has this note in her phone, “teenage Lupin has a skateboard.”

I love that when Elvis is surprised, his ears meet and his eyebrows shoot above his head. . .that’s the sort of thing only cartoons can do.

Did Clucky Chicken also grow? I seem to remember him being bigger in recent strips.
