Baba whacks Wicket, but good. Baba has always had a strong resemblance to my Granny. She was known to wield a mean fly swatter. Tough on the outside, but really sweet on the inside. If you could get to that sweet inside. LOL

There really isn’t much love lost between Wicket and Mouse is there? Knowing the history between those two her reaction doesn’t surprise me.

And so the foe flies in, sneaking around the back. Fortunately the back is guarded.

I was later to learn that not all the owls were as enthusiastic to take over the desert as Strigios was. His son, Raptor, was a studious owl who was more interested in scrolls and learning. Not to mention athletic pursuits.

Meanwhile I was determined to find my true love, Growl Tiger. He was prince of the Northern Kingdom as I was the princess of the Southern Kingdom. Perhaps someday we would unite both kingdoms. But first we had to deal with the owls.

I put on my full armor, then promptly removed it. Who wears armor when it’s 90 degrees out? But I had my agility, and my vision. Growl and I had our secret sign when we saw each other. I was sure it wouldn’t be long.

Bea: She’s quite a cat.

Ari: I can’t wait to hear the rest.

Elvis: After tea and scones.

May we all be able to channel Baba Mouse when our worst exes come back into town.

Who let him out of the sanctuary? And now the mice are gone off to war. Tho it does look like Baba has things under control.

Yikes! I wasn’t expecting Wicket to just appear so suddenly! Heck, that almost counts as a jump scare… lol.

Even Wicket’s eyebrows show he is a masher and a cad.

Wicket should count himself lucky that Baba Mouse’s weapon of choice is a broom, not a brick in a purse …

Baba just opened a can of whoop-a** on Wicket—you go, old girl—pour it on thick!

Spider thinks she’s being rude, but she just doesn’t want all the barn guests to eat Spider. She’s a mama to everyone.

Is that spider friends with the “wow, rude” snake?

I think she just broom-doomed him.

I thought Baba was being pretty gentle with the spider. The look on her face was even friendly even tho he thinks it’s rude. She seems to be like me – spiders need to be somewhere else besides in my space.

I can just hear Wicket’s bosting, to himself-‘Oh I bet she will just melt when she sees me again!’ Meanwhile, Baba is thinking-’ You arrogant son of a night fowl!!’

The look on her face in panel 2 says it all. And of course, Wicket being clueless “It’s me …” OF COURSE she knows it you, you cad! Why do you think you’re getting clobbered with the broom.

Where are the kits? I don’t trust Wicket not to hurt them!

Well look like we owl will has some bird kebab for dinner tonight.

Baba won’t bash a spider, but she has no hesitation about bashing Wicket.

My Everything’s Coming Up Beatrix just arrived!

There is an ultra-fast black spider about the size of a dime who runs around here and often comes in my room. The couple of times she’s parked on the floor for a minute I have caught her and put her in a plant, but she won’t stay there. She’s so fast most of the time I just barely catch a glimpse of her. I’ve gotten so used to her I named her Allyson after champion sprinter Allyson Felix.

Now this is what I call, “Barn Stuff!”

Love the spider “okay, rude” and don’t ever mess with any female with a broom!

I’m getting tired of animals that aren’t cats.
