Stefani sure has quite the ego. How is she even paying for her classes and dormitory rent and anything else if she asks Kip (and anyone else) for the money?
I know this is a total coincidence (no way Evans could have known this was coming), but three days ago, a school principal was fired because an art class showed that dangerous statue of “David”, and the parents objected. Bring back Nil and B for an encore! (Even though I’m not a fan of B…)
When I was 9 years old, I saved up $600—gifts from relatives for my birthday and Christmas, and making and selling pot holders. I had my money in a bank account in my name, which had to be overseen by an adult because I was too young to have a bank account of my own. It was overseen by my mother. My mother took my $600 and used it to pay for a trip (for her) to the Grand Canyon. She never gave me my money back, (because children are so expensive to raise, and she was having to raise me.) Interestingly, in the sixty something years since she took my money, I have never been to the Grand Canyon, and I never will.
Sex might briefly come up. But to offer $600 in exchange for sex. That would make stef: yup, a prostitute. And i don’t think she wants that “title.” She acts like she wants to be treated with class, not like all she is good for is some @$$.
The only reason I could afford the materials to make the pot holders was because my grandmother supplied me with the materials. When my mother went to the Grand Canyon using my money, my grandmother was extremely angry. It made no difference to my mother, but it made a big difference to me. Thank God for my grandmother.
Kip, just dump her and go. Let her find another sucker to pay for her. You are the captain of the football team and surely there are a couple of your teammates who come from those 1 percenter families. Introduce Stef to them and get her off your back. They will thank you – she is pretty and and a perfect arm candy for their 1 percenter functions AND they have plenty of moola to spare, unlike yourself.
Ok, so Stef needs some fairly serious coin ($600) and a high profile internet blogger and influencer, Bets, is her new roomie. Why do I think that Bets is going to end up helping Stef figure out a way to get that coin. I just hope it works out better than the McMansion Storage venture Bets helped Tiff start up last summer and that Gunther does not end up in the middle of the impending mess that will likely soon occur.
I guess Kip is not pulling down any NIL money like a lot of the college athletes are getting nowadays or at least he is smart enough not to share it with Stef.
One thing that the Evanses really seem to enjoy doing is to create characters who are very difficult to like, and then hanging onto that unpleasantness for as long as possible, making only minor steps forward in the characters over very long periods of time — usually in a one step forward, two steps back fashion. They allow their characters a tiny bit of positive development over a huge amount of time, then revert that back at a later date, all but negating any progress made. Self-improvement follows that glacial, stumbling process, and it takes what seems an eternity for characters to mature and better themselves, if they ever do. And now, they have honed that particular.skill to create….this ultra-annoying mess of s character. Well, I hope THEY’RE having fun, at least.
Seriously? $600 to enter a competition? That’s really a lot! Terrible that Stef can’t understand it. It seems clear to me that Stef will ask Bets to help her find the money in some way, maybe even Dez and Tiffany will be involved. Maybe she will start working at The Fuse? Or maybe she’ll do something crazy and her roommates will have to get her out of trouble. I’d rather prefer they leave her alone, but I don’t think they would.
$600.00? Kip must not be cashing in on Name Image & Likeness, yet, to have that kind of money. He would never get re-imbursed the actual cash by Stefani. Re-payment would be in another form.
Oooooo.. the Count likes this bae, Stef… she most certainly has read and learned from out beloved Ann❤️Eiffel’s best seller “How to Win a Man and Drain His Wallet”. We all ❤️ Ann ❤️ Eiffel.
Wow, Kip is demonstrating manly traits of lines that should not be crossed! Keep saying “no” Kip. Also, send this self-obsessed woman to the curb and start focussing on more important things in life. Like your studies, your career and finding a serious woman that you can build a family with and who is worthy of devote your life to.
Lending money between lovers is always risky. I remember lending my ex$10,000 to help cover the down payment when she bought a new home. Even though she repaid me promptly, I felt that things had changed between us. Also, around the same time, we had looked at wedding rings in early December and that Christmas I had gotten her an iPad.
Wow! Asking to borrow $600 from her boyfriend rather than asking her parents or looking for a way to raise the money herself? That is pretty presumptuous of her. I can see why he’s about done with her. Looks like we’re in the breakup arc for this releationship.
In the movie Die Hard , the thief Hans Gruber, is asked if the government will release some two-bit terrorists while he’s robbing the Nakatomi Plaza and his reply is “Who Cares?”
Do either Kip or Stefi have a job? Why would Stef think Kip has an extra $600? He must have other choices for a girlfriend since he is an athlete. The other cheerleaders cannot all be as bad as Stefi.
her parents must have said no, so she is going to other people. remember when Tiffany needed money, she sold a bunch of her stuff. sell some of your stuff Stef.
So it all comes down to money! Where oh where will Stef get her loan? I hear there’s a new loan shark in town named Ann Something. She’s giving Monstro a run for his money.
$600? Like my mother said, never lend money to your friends. You might end up losing your money and your friend.
The Kip + Steffi relationship is already on thin ice and she wants $600? Maybe she should be asking her parents?
To her credit, she’s not asking for Kip’s folks to give her a room in their house for free (“because she’s gonna be homeless”), and the financial shortfall means his mom has to go back to work to keep the family afloat. Steffi is also not asking Kip’s parents to support her, feed her, add 25% to their household expenses in taking on another (freeloading) dependent.
I have questions. Not being an expert on the subject, I submit them to the group:
1. $600 entry fee? Doesn’t that amount seem kinda… high? I mean, just to enter a competition where most of the performers involved will walk away with nothing to show for it? What’s the prize that justifies this fee?
2. Isn’t cheerleading a team event? Therefore shouldn’t the team itself have a way of raising funds, especially knowing how little disposable income a lot of college students have? Are they really just leaving it up to each team member to find their own means of paying the fee (which again, seems extremely high especially if each team member has to pay $600 individually.) So what’s the team’s plan of action if certain team members can’t afford the fee? Don’t their routines rely on everyone being there?
Sorry for all of you who posted that yesterday was about a breakup. I thought it might take all week to find out what the issue was, so I’m glad we don’t have to wait. Does Kip have an extra $600 laying around? He doesn’t have NIL money as he’s from such a small school. He could be on a full-ride scholarship so could have the money. Should he lend, i.e. give it to her? No! Will she ask others? Yes. Maybe soft-hearted Ox will loan her the money.

Why not ask Bets,, her smart, marketing wise roommate to comes up with ideas to raise the money. There goes the old fool again. I don’t think this is breakup though. My sense of story is a little, not that much, better than ability to predict.
I’m not sure why Kip is still with Stef. She’s lied to him and treats him shabbily. His attitude is wispy-washy. I’m never sure about him.As to the cheerleading, I thought it as a team sport with the whole team entering the competition. That’s why the have fund drives. She can’t win or lose on her own, so why else would she need the money?
Just a couple of things I’ll mention. I think the contest is for individuals, not a cheerleader team of any sort. I don’t believe for a minute that Stef is interested in any kind of loan – she wants her entry fee paid for her. I’m very happy to see Kip standing up to her manipulative nonsense, and I hope he continues. Lastly, in the FWIW department, the phrase that usually applies to peole who get on the wrong side of the Mafia is “sleeping” with the fishes (not swimming, since the person is dead at the time, lol). My apologies if someone already mentioned these things – I haven’t read all the comments yet.
Kip still wears a wrist-watch! I do recall the advice from my brother when I got my first watch. He suggested that I not wear it on my dominant hand because it would be more likely to get scuffed up and to get in the way when writing and doing other manual work. So I always wore/wear them on my other hand. (Havent worn one in quite some time, though. )
