Uh oh. Goldie looks a little . . . bemused at Ora Zella’s sudden appearance. She may have doubts about how much help OZ will really be in the investigation. But Ora Zella sure looks cute in her deerstalker!
Goldie on the case, with what appears to be her “apprentice” though judging by Goldie’s reaction this is breaking news to her. Anyhow, this ought to make the quest for the missing remote that much more convoluted. Okay, now we just need the Robber Mice to lend their assistance, and the missing device could become a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma. Of course, could the Robber Mice have “borrowed” the remote to ensure they did not miss an episode of “Our IX Lives”…….
Someone has a sidekick.. but this could be good. Ora Zella isn’t a bad cat but she does tend to be more an agent of chaos and this is the rare intrest of hers that isn’t violent like fire or biting.
I wonder if the 1920s era dollhouse that Georgia posted about the other day will make an appearance in the upcoming Killer Roombas story arc? Being that there are so many haunted items in the BPH already …
If truth be known, I prefer the “Murder By Death” version of this story. Sam Diamond, Sydney Wong, Jessica Marbles, Milo Perrier, Dick & Dora Charleston, all the great Detectives of the dime novel days.
“It was a dark and stormy night. Suddenly, a shot rang out! A door slammed. The maid screamed. Suddenly, a pirate ship appeared on the horizon! While millions of people were starving, the king lived in luxury. Meanwhile, on a small farm in Kansas, a boy was growing up.”
Everyone was right about Detective Goldie being the one to solve this. I predict Ora Zella will have a decidedly mixed record as a detective, either getting distracted and not helping at all or solving the case with a simple “Yep, that was me.”
The Junior Detective clearly not having been planned for in advance in this instance, and instead just abruptly joining the case without forewarning. :P
Violet-Ifa: It’s been great learning about battles lost in futurity.
Sir Alcott: It has been said if we do not learn from the future we are doomed to write about it.
Ta-Natash: The weird thing is I understood what you said.
Agnes-Ata: But as long as we have beautiful night skies and delicious cheese, I am hopeful for the past.
Sir Alcott: And now to cheese. I have some delicious Double Down, as will as Still Stilton, Wonderful Wensleydale, and Very Good Gouda. With some lovely fruits of all kinds.
Alice-Ata: And we can stay for the rest of the week.
A small request to those who post links: Please give at least a hint of what it is. After 25-plus years on the interwebs, I’m strongly (self-) conditioned to never go to unknown URLs.

I’m guessing that the Junior Detective will find it, having been instrumental in its disappearance.

I’m having a hard time seeing Ora Zella filling Sherlock’s shoes. She seems more like The Tortie of the Baskervilles.

Lying on the couch, they want to watch “Scooby Doo”
Losing the remote
Truthfully, is nothing new
Flashback, Goldie
She can solve the crime
With notepad and junior OZ
There’s help this time
If it’s lost they will look and they will find it
Time after time
Where clues fall, they will catch them, (noise is grating)
Time after time
Crime after crime
