Wow! Piro knows Bernice and Luann both attend college, but he just assumes they will drop all their plans! He gives them no idea when he will return.

When Bernice says We’re baby sitting, she means she and Alan are baby sitting. Luann should just leave. Bernice is asking Luann to help the same way Piro ask Bernice to help.

Calm, non-screaming, and expressing their perfectly normal needs in acceptable ways. So far these kids seem okay to me.

Repost from yesterday: In the US, depending on the state law, Alan might have to be 13 or 14 to supervise other children. Even if he is that old, Piro may know (as some have speculated) that for whatever reason, Alan is not capable of caring for 5 younger half-siblings.

As far as I’m concerned, Luann has every right to tell Bernice to get Stiuffed here.

Sadly, two things will probably happen. 1) Luann will probably reluctantly agree to help Bernice here, and 2) afterwards Bernice will still continue to live free of charge at the DeGroot household and Insult Luann every chance she gets.

I sorry. I just don’t find the “unexpected houseguest” bit to be all that “funny” any more.

The one time I thought it was amusing was when Piro would once crash at Tiff and Bern’s dorm-rooms or when Tiff and later Bets, crashed at the Gulag a few years back.

And it stopped being amusing the moment when Al and especially Irma went all ”Archie Bunker” when Bets stayed over. :-(

If Piro’s mom dies or becomes incapacitated long term, these kids might end up in foster care. OR MAYBE, Brad and Toni will adopt them or become foster parents.

I always tell myself don’t read the comments before you comment, but that is hard because while I often am still up when I can peek in to Arcamax to get the next day, I usually crash, with my non-witty (I know some would say, “your comments, witty?” lol) tired brain but today I am just having fun laughing. Most have nothing to do with the evolving story, but to each their own. Personally, I want to see how Piro’s evolving story affects Lu and Bern, and Piro himself. His family is a mess, and he, being the oldest has all that to deal with, obviously, so thinking he’s some kind if “bum” totally misses that story. As I said to each their own.

Luann is good with kids because she still is one, despite being in college. Luann should say something like "what is this “we,” Bernice. I didn’t volunteer to watch Piro’s brothers and sisters, you did." But of course she won’t.

Nothing funny about this arc.

Poor children, except for the oldest one, the others seem scared by the new situation. They are all well-mannered and this is probably thanks to Piro and his mother. It’s not a nice situation and I hope it will not last long, but I’m sure that Luann will know how to put them at ease. Dunno if Bernice will survive.

Hmm. Luann’s been having a career/life crisis. Wonder if this is where she discovers she should become a teacher because she’s good with teaching kids?

This is pretty high on the list of things you should never do to a friend.

Wow – I am shocked at the hateful comments today. They are kids, they need help – where is the compassion? Yes, I realize it is a comic, but how you react to comedy sometimes shows the true character of a person.

Luann will be having fun with the kids and keeping them in line, and Bernice will be providing counseling to each one.

Everybody is jumping on Piro, but the kid has 6 kids to take care of and has to get his mother to the hospital. He’s pretty much up against it, and trying to figure how to handle this.

And of course Bernice just rolled over, because G&K love turning their characters into doormats. Hope she doesn’t get her hopes up about Piro ever repaying this favor.

Luann has said several times that she’d like to be a teacher. She’s been working at Kids First forever.

For Luann, it will always be about the kids. So no, she won’t do that.

None of them look like full blood siblings, except for the obvious twins. Mom obviously got around, except around the birth control pills. Looks like it’s going to be a busy arc.
