Lupin and Goldie remind me of Willard Scott and Sandy Duncan at the Macy’s parade circa 1987 or ’88 for some reason….. Happy Thanksgiving to all on the BCN board!
Here is an interesting story of a cat who almost got checked into a flight up at the JFK airport in NYC, how the heck did he/she get in this predicament:
A bit OT but Thanksgiving related: Publix is known for its holiday commercials in this part of the US. Here is their 2022 version. It makes me realize that my wife and I are going to be like that older couple not long from now. Definitely need the tissue:
Happy Thanksgiving to all my Orbster friends who celebrate it! I wish you a wonderful day of fun and food with family, friends, and pets. I will not be using my heirloom gravy “boat”, Mr. Turkey, this year. I’ve discovered that his inside has many very hard to wash crannies, so he will provide decoration with his glorious presence. I did, however, make my own cranberry sauce because I like the kind with berries in it and the only variety I could find in stores was space goo. Turned out very well. Also made cranberry-orange relish. This is a bust, it’ll probably be put outside for the critters.
A now rare instance of me tuning in late at night (or early in the morning depending on your point of view (but personally, morning doesn’t start until the sun begins to rise)) on the laptop. Bird should be going in the oven pretty soon. Nice and frozen, thank you very much. Low and slow. Delicious.
And personally I think Puck means three Matchbox or Hot Wheels school buses. That poor bird is hardly bigger than a goose.
Happy Thanksgiving to all here who observe the holiday. May you enjoy your feast with your loved ones near. I am thankful for my family and friends, our health, and that GoComics is back online! I missed reading my comics (especially BCN) and the comments section beneath. I am also thankful for all of you in the orb and Georgia for helping to make this the nicest corner of the internet. I truly hope you all enjoy your holiday.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL THE ORB!!! Whether you celebrate it or not, I just hope you have a wonderful day today.
On a side note, the first thing I caught was the last panel with Pucky and his little green hat. For a moment, I wondered why Marvin the Martian was visiting the Big Pink House…
Happy Thanksgiving all! Hope Georgia remembers to remove the oven rack before she heats the oven for the turkey this year ;). I got over ambitious this year (my husband would argue I do this every time I make a big meal or have company), I did scale back on dessert though. I decided that instead of pumpkin pie I would do a pumpkin mousse in homemade puff pastry shells – I just finished watching the season of Great British Baking Show. On Tuesday afternoon I bailed on the homemade ruff puff pastry and bought frozen shells to fill with pumpkin mousse with cinnamon whipped cream.
I laugh at how Americans will measure something using any conceivable measurement other than a recognised system, like imperial or metric. 3 giraffes tall, six football fields long, the weight of seven skyscrapers, … three school bus capacity. :-D
Thank cat, I just got gocomics.com back today. I’m going back to read what I missed. I had no idea how much I look forward to reading my strips and the comments. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
Every Thanksgiving I like giving thanks to those people and things in my life that are important. I’m thankful for a lot of things in my life, and I’ve said thank you to most of them. I’m also thankful for the morning comics and this page in particular. I’m glad I have a page where I can read the comments and smile instead of cringe or run away. As a whole, this is the nicest group of folk I get to interact with on the internet. So thank you for keeping it classy. And thank you to The Woman for making it possible. Happy Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate! I’m so thankful for all of you, to be able to write this comic and share it, and for GoComics being back up!!! The Man, the kids, and I are up early watching the Macy’s Day Parade—I wish the idea for this strip had come to me in time for a Sunday strip, lol! Maybe next year! Much love to everyone, have a safe, happy day. May you have much to be thankful for today and may your cranberry space goo always jiggle!
Queen Catshepsut the Golden: As your queen, I hereby declare the Feast of Gratitude has commenced!
All: Nommy, Nom, Nom!
The Queen: Serfig-Aro, will you give thanks??
Serfig-Aro: Gladly, Your Majesty.
Gracious Cat, Thank You for this bountiful feast. May we be truly grateful for this and all your blessings. Amen
Thomios: This year we have a special treat. Thanks to you, Fresh and Salty Water Cat and our new friend Iggy Shipwright, we have Diem Carp kibble pie prepared by my Great (In more ways than one) Uncle Floof! Thank you, all.
Beatrixia: And thank you, Royal Procurers, for your delicious cheese tray, the source of which we know not.
Alice-Ata: As always, we’ll never tell.
Floofnet the Joyous: And for dessert, we have Chocolate Everything, as well as a variety of desserts for those not in the chocolate mood (It happens).
OT up date on Pounce de Leon: Last Friday I took Pounce to our vet for a check up. He is in top notch shape. He is 7 weeks old. which means he was just over two weeks when we found him. While I was there my vet asked if I wanted a kitten for Pounce to play with. My other cats are 14 and 15 years old and DO NOT appreciate Pounce pouncing. My vet knows a sucker when she sees one. In she came with a white and black long haired kitten 5 months old. The kitten had been abandoned on the vets front step. They believe she had been kicked or hit and had s[ent her life in the 2 foot by 2 foot box she arrived in. Long story short, I now have two kittens. Pounce de Leon and Isabel Regina. I think (and so does my vet) that Isabel Regina is mostly Turkish Van. She surely looks like one, right down to “God’s Thumb print” between her shoulder blades. She has a black tail, “God’s thumb print” in black between she shoulder blades, black ears and eyes, a little black on her feet. The rest of her is white. Her eyes are goldish yellow. Her fur is very soft, like down without any guard hairs. She likes to kneed hard. She can really push with those big paws. She is clumsy. She fell off the exam table into my arms. And there she stayed until I went home with her and Pounce. Pounce’s eyes are changing again. They went from blue to a greenish gray. They are now turning green. His paw is now bigger than my thumb nail. He is a tuxedo cat. His under coat is black…but…it is only black tipped. most of the length of his under coat is light grey. Gives him a two tone look. His guard hairs are black. He loves to play. I like to cuddle him. He and Isabel like to snuggle and lick each other.
Happy Thanksgiving, Thanksgravy, and Cranberry Space Goo Day (for those not of the USA persuasion) to all of you. Even though I’m a river otter changeling, I am grateful to be associated with all of you—a shining example of what humanity could be.
Happy Thanksgiving to the Orb! I need to get cooking, but had to stop here first and get my daily dose of cheer. I baked a new pie this year – Apple Butter. Here’s hoping it is a good as it sounds. Enjoy your day everyone.
I got to use one of my new BCN coffee mug today. I decided on the Sugar Heist mug with Elvis and the Robber Mice. Partly because it reminds me of my dearly departed Miscreant. I think the coffee was sweeter and more bitter at the same time today.
Happy Thanksgiving Mega-Orb, and an “Oh @#*1” to you too! Anyway, should have bought ingredients for the chili I’ve mentioned in the past (from Traditional Healer’s Handbook) at the beginning of the month! So I’ll do it Sunday — that’s when I get my emergency allotment. I’ve been adding a can of diced tomatoes and I’m gonna try turkey burger meatballs. For some reason the Bad Word Bot won’t let me use the word for what these things are: dill weed, cardamom, ginger, garlic and cayenne. But they’ll be there!
WooHoo! Not just back, but my Daily Digest is back!Cranberry Space Goo. Love it. Found a real easy recipe – 1 can frozen oj concentrate, 1 12 oz bag cranberries, put in pot, cook until cranberries are all soft and popped and it’s thick. Orange-cranberry. Next year I’d add some zest.
I apologize for my MacBook Pro’s keyboard cutting off the last letter of so many words today. Apparently the folks at Apple are blaming it on some sort of thin butterfly mechanism that can get jammed up with crumbs, dust, and other particulates. If I had been proofreading more carefully, I could have corrected the keyboard errors before it was too late, but when my brain feels my fingers hitting the correct keys in the correct order, I don’t feel the need to check. I’m trying to correct myself of that faulty assumption
We had a quiet Thanksgiving. Dad made the turkey, stuffing, roasted yams, and pumpkin pie. It’s times like this when we appreciate that he wasn’t only a teacher, but a short-order chef as well.

Only goo can make all this world seem right
Only goo can make outer space so bright
Only goo and goo alone can thrill me, without chew
And fill my mouth with love for only goo
Oh, only goo can make my day happy
For it’s true, it’s made of cranberry
When I hold its can I understand the magic of space goo
It’s a dream come true, my one and only goo
