Ora Zella’s atmospheric instability is adorable, and Iggy is lovin’ it. A cat after my own heart.

I remember thunderstorms back in New England. After the first boom, five kids would mysteriously appear in our bed.

Well what do you know? Given Iggy’s catanality I would not have expected him to enjoy the wild weather.

Is Iggy enjoying watching the storm, or is there something out there? An inquiring mind wants to know.

I like being inside and cozy and looking out the window at storms — but then I feel guilty thinking of the people and animals and trees outside and not safe.

I like thunderstorms, but I worry about the outside cats. I always hope they’re safe and dry.

I thought Lupin was deaf. Looks like he’s reacting to the thunder.

Next, we get to see Pucky “Jackie Chan” the storm!

I live in a part of California in which summer/electrical storms are not a thing.

Except for one year. In which we had over 1,000 lightning strikes overnight in my county. I was in the bathroom, on the floor, away from any windows and worrying about the animals outside. The booms were terrifying.

The next morning, my closest friend, from Colombia, said: Wasn’t that relaxing? It was just like home. So wonderful.

Like Iggy and Ora Zella, we can have markedly different responses to electrical storms!

We get one thunderstorm a year. The cats don’t seem to care.

My indoor cats seem unruffled by storms; what I worry about is the electronics. Yes, I do keep them on protective power strips, but I fret all the same.

I’ve had cats that hated thunder, some cats who ignored them, and some who would actually sit in the window (Like Iggy) and watch the lightning flashes. Not surprising that they did the same when it was firework season.

I want to know what Puck is reading to OZ and Buzzy Mouse.♥

Funnily enough, thunderstorms don’t usually scare me, and in fact I rather enjoy them. But then I play Minecraft and suddenly hear a thundercrash in the game and it’s like a freaking jump scare.

Hey! Where is the Man??? I haven’t seen him in ages here. The kids run only to Mommy? What’s wrong?

I’m with Iggy, we can both snuggle up and watch the storm together.

I’m with Iggy. I ❤️ thunderstorms. They are very rare here in New Zealand. Back home in Texas they were a commonplace thing. I treasure them all the more now. :)

We had a tremendous thunderstorm about a week ago. Loud enough to wake me out of a sound sleep at 3 a.m..

I love thunderstorms

Although this can be a “stand alone” strip, I am anxious to see if the storm or its after effects will be mentioned tomorrow. In other words, could the cause of the transmission glitches and glowing night sky also be responsible for the storm?

Storms are white noise to me. My girl Jez isn’t much of a fan, but she takes her cue from me and doesn’t stress out.

Iggy’s a cat after my own heart—I’ve often enjoyed watching a good rainstorm, or at least enjoying the unique ambience they provide.

Happy Sunday everyone. Only took me over an hour to ready every comic and comment from last Sunday. So tired of work life getting in the way of my comic reading. Hugs, Purrs, Power of the Paw to everyone.

Well, the heavy rains have driven ants into my house. I’ve put fresh ants baits out, and the ants ate going for them, but it is driving me crazy to see them on my kitchen counter and not kill them. I know I have to let them eat the baits so the nest will be killed, but still, the temptation to windex them is so strong. Yes, windex, or any window cleaner with ammonia. I’ve found that it kills them instantly, and doesn’t smell as bad as bug spray.

Happy excuse for a crowded bed!!!

Had a middle of the night thunderstorm that frightened my dog. I got up and sat with him until it passed. One of my fondest memories.

And sweet Papa Pucky is the best, comforting his sweet Cherub.

The Girl is not fond of thunderstorms. But she likes to watch the lightning, so it somewhat balances out. By contrast, The Woman does not like the lightning because she has a fear – one she acknowledges to be irrational – of her chair being a literal lightning rod.

I love windstorms; if they’re relatively dry, I go for extended walkabouts during them. Rare here, though—the ‘relatively dry’ part, anyhow.

I love that there’s one little kitty that adores the storm. And yes, Lupin, t-storms do wonders for inducing snuggles.
