And the girls are returning early. Apparently there is a communal shower for the quad, But if that’s so, Kip and Stefi’s use of it impinge on Dez’ and Bets’ privacy issues also. All very confusing.

Who starts a shower without knowing where their towel is? Especially when Steffi already soiled one towel? (Since this would be a communal shower Tiffany’s towel would not automatically be there.

Yeah, that’s not exactly a long journey. Unless Greg Evans changed the layout of this dorm again. That person with the nose is rather surprised, though.

I am disappointed to see that even when wet, Tiffany maintains her helmet hair style.

That certainly looks like Gunther’s nose in Panel 3. But then there is a chance that Gunther has experienced a bit of Tiff’s delights late in the night of the salamander field trip arc. The following strips and the subsequent guy talk with roomie Quill imply something may have happened!

BTW, that nose in the last panel and the purple shirt are giving me a strong hint as to who that may be. Another 1/4" more of the view of the nose more to the right, and I would be absolutely sure.

Ok, so Tiff, went to the shower room naked? In her situation, most people would have put some clothes they wore in back on just long enough to be able to get back in the room without embarrassment. And putting on your own ‘used’ clothes for 30 seconds in a pinch does not mean you will need a new shower so relax people.

Tune in tomorrow as we see Tiff packing up and moving back to the peace and quiet and PRIVACY of the mansion.

The hilarity ensues part of this set of panels is Tiffany’s is Tiffany’s naked dash to dry herself from her dorm shower only to have De z open her room door seeing the dash with what strongly appears to be Gunther getting a surprising view of the nude Tiffany. I don’t think it means anything involving the projected feverish wishes of those in the forum who somehow wish this means something between Tiff and Gunther getting together somehow, I think he just happened to visit Dez and Bets room. However the hilarious possibilities are plentiful. I call misdirection plays.

Looks like me the day I stepped out of the shower, flipped a towel over my head to dry my back and caught a termite tunnel hanging down from the light, dropping a bazillion termites down my bare, wet back. My husband caught me before I reached the front door. NOT the best way to discover your house has termites, either.

I always make sure there is a towel handy before I take a shower. There are those, of course, who would say that such a display of common sense is beyond Tiffany.

I thought most women, in a similar living situation, would wear a wrap-around robe of some sorts to and from the shower.

How did she get there in the first place? Where are the clothes she must have been wearing? She might not have wanted to put them back on but she could at least cover herself with them.And I hope she didn’t lock her door!

Good thing Tiff’s slimmed down a bit.

Off-topic (but sort of on-topic):

Several days ago, there was a side discussion about 9 Chickweed Lane and Brooke McEldowney thinking he is somehow “above the rules” by having comments unavailable for the strip. Well, today something happened that I suspect is going to have an effect on Mr. McEldowney’s relationship with the syndicate.

Instead of today’s strip, the Los Angeles Times published the following:

TO OUR READERS: The “9 Chickweed Lane” comic that we published Dec. 1 included an ethnic slur and did not meet our standards. We regret that it was published and we apologize. We have decided to discontinue publication of “9 Chickweed Lane” and to review all of the other syndicated comic strips we publish. The Comics page should be a place where our readers can engage with societal issues, reflect on the human condition, and enjoy a few laughs. We intend to maintain that tradition in a way that is welcoming to all readers.

I would think that this is the highest-circulation newspaper that had been carrying the strip, and their action is not going to rest well with Andrews/McMeel. I note that GoComics has already removed the offending strip from the site.

If this means the end of his strip, I say good riddance.

I wish they’d let Tiffany go back to her slim figure. It would be a great test of her current character- to show how she has grown from her teen years attitude. I’d also like to see her and Luann become great friends and laugh about the past together. Neither is going to happen, though, I imagine.
