Kip’s living in the pool house isn’t going to prevent a break-in back at the main house. All Tiffany has to do is just let the work crew install the super-duper security system that Tom has ordered, and then she can sleep worry-free for the rest of the summer (all by herself).
He could leave his phone by the pool and claim he was swimming.
Stef, here’s some free advice about men: They are trustworthy. Or they are not. Phone tracking won’t change that. Standing up in front of a crowd of people and promising to forsake all others won’t change that. Wearing her ring won’t change that. They are. Or they are not.
They have a pool house? Sometimes I forget how filthy rich the Farrells are! Stef seems to be here to just check things out and not to stay with them. She’ll spend the holidays at home obsessing over where Kip is and shaking whenever he’s near Tiffany for more than a minute. That’s going to be definitely stressful…it’s weird that she’s letting him be with Tiffany instead of making a scene and forbidding him. Stef wants to look like she has an open mind, but she fails miserably.
How is Kip , being in the pool house, going to stop burglars from entering the main house?
And even if she can track Kip.. how would she know if Tiff was with him? It’s ridiculous to think he’s not going to be at the main house and enjoy its amenities, at times.
It’s too bad.. the pool house would have been a good place for Ox to live and keep an eye on things.
Kip? It’s time to drop her. She has no future except the one in her mind, she borrows money with no intent of repaying, she has insecurities that only a professional can deal with, and her narcissism knows no limits. She’s not girlfriend material; she’s fling material at best. Definitely one-night-stand material.
An Tif can visit with Kip in the pool house then Kip can visit wit Tif in the main house. The two of em skinny dippin in the pool late at night. What a summer it’ll be
Just want to mention, unless she’s implanted him with some kind of tracking chip, Kip could get around her surveillance just by leaving his phone at the pool house. Or just get a new phone.
I suppose for someone like Stef, that’s like detaching a limb. Can’t even imagine it.
He isn’t really planning to cheat on her. But he’s less and less happy with the relationship. This being Luann, and Tiff not being an aspiring boyfriend thief anymore, I don’t see any wild affairs happening. But they could start getting closer. And Tiff could leave her phone in the main house.
And Stef doesn’t know that Siri tracks Kip’s phone and not Kip himself? I won’t ask how she got into college. I’ve had a lot of Stefs in my classes. But I suspect Kip knows how to leave his phone where ever she wants him to be.
I’m thinking that Kip should just break up with Stef. Him gaslighting her into trusting him while showing her utter contempt and flirting with Tiffany makes him look pretty messed up. I could excuse it when it was the two sort of catching feelings over the tea thing when he wasn’t really able to break up the right way (not over the phone), but this is just him trying to have both.
Kip, your sarcasm needs to come on a little stronger. Maybe try “Nope, that’s it, this relationship is over. Cheerleaders are supposed to wave pompoms, not red flags.”
Stef apparently believes in trust but verify. But what if he leaves his phone in the pool house, and, visits Tiffany in the Manse? Not that Tiff has shown any real interest in Kip (besides admiring his physique.)
I know generationally most of us here are either Baby Boomers, like me (1946) or Gen X, who generally think a truth, Baby Boomers are way too overbearing, to them anyway. But I digressed. We’re commenting on late Millennials, or even arguably Gen Z, young, college-age, college attending adults. The comments are funnier than the strip, although the writing has been really good, such AS today’s. Very funny, Kip ypu et to mouth the punchline. But I just want to remind that young people really haven’t changed, the only real difference is technology and social media. Other than that human kids are human kids, everywhere.
My wife tried to talk into putting a tracker in my phone. I realized that not only would she be able to track me but so would whoever else had access to the info. Yes- I realize that they probably already are. I told her no.
Stefi expects Kip to have his phone with him at all times. She probably texts him every 5 minutes and demands he reply so she knows where he is every second. No one should date or marry someone that insecure and possessive. If you don’t trust them, then just leave. You won’t be happy if you have to track them like a dog all the time.
Steffie knows her man, and she recognized Tiffany as a possible threat from day one. I’m sure she’s developed a sixth sense for it over the years, but why she wants a hound dog like Kip is beyond me. I also don’t understand the readers that see Kip as a poor misunderstood picked on person.
My beloved wanted both our sons and me to have a cellphone at all times so we would be in reach/trackable. I believe in her case it was because her mother harped on the time a coworker’s son was killed while she was off in a bar and nobody could let her know his dying request was for her until it was too late.
For her peace of mind, we keep our phones handy. She keeps misplacing or losing hers. Such is life.
Way over there in the pool house isn’t going to help her in the mansion if someone breaks in. One of the more important elements in a relationship is trust, and there doesn’t seem to be any in Steff’s with Kip.
I’m a bit amazed that she knows how to use that app to track him. ;-D
The current version of Tiffany is not terribly attractive – either physically or psychologically. The only reason for Kip to “engage” with her would be for a change of pace. Neither of them is fit for long term involvement..
My father loves these tracking apps because it means that he and my step-mom are aware of where they are when they get lost, which is apparently fairly often.
I was going to rant at kip…but while its fun to rag on fictional characters I am so very tired of this love triangle. Kip is emotionally checked out and emotionally cheating while stef is outlining how she’s going to stalk him. This isn’t A compelling portrait of a broken relationship or well done soap. This is praying for death but death won’t come
Kip in the pool house is not going to be much help to Tiffany in the manse when she experiences a for really (as we used to say when I was a kid) break-in!
But Kip is right to tell off Stef about her trust issue. She, however, is too oblivious to heed his admonition….

If Stef staying at the manse, too? Or is she just checking out the situation before summering with memaw and papaw?
Why put Kip a half footfall field away from the main house? Isn’t the main house the most likely to be broken into?
Where’s CopOx staying?
There’s a swimming pool right there — use it! If she’s a witch she’ll float and if she’s not…that saves everyone a lot of trouble.
How soon can we get back to Luann?

So what difference does 10 yards vs 100 yards make if Tiff and Kip want to do hanky panky?
9thCapricorn almost 2 years ago
Well, pool house is close enough for Kip to mosey over and pay Tiff a visit. A smart girlfriend would know that and say an absolutely no.
RSH almost 2 years ago
I imagine Siri can only track Kip’s cell phone (or other device w/ signal) not Kip the person. He can just leave it somewhere.
