So Nets is going to see the couple from Tiff’s blog and get the obvious wrong impression. Now of the hundreds of thousands of blogs what excuse will be given for Bets’s following Tiff’s?

Sure they were suitemates, but that’s no reason to read it.

Unconscious coupling. And one might be rendered unconscious when decoupled by Bets.

Next week for Bets to appear. Gunther needs to take a deep breath, relax and listen to Luann instead of getting aggravated at what the party guests see and believe. Hey G-Man, the more you protest, the more people are going to think something is going on. Gunther is likely to yell “It is not a date. Luann and I are not a couple!” at the top of his lungs just as Bets is coming up behind him with all her followers watching the live feed. Can we say awkward?

Did Stef GAIN weight? She’s looking chunky. Another uncreative costume. Yoga instructor? No costume needed. She exercises so she just grabbed her yoga gear and pretended they were her costume.

I can see Bets showing up as Miraculous Ladybug.

I like the way Luann is flaunting her newly acquired glamour and having a ball doing it.

I took a break from the comments, but Gunther is still using the same script.

The easiest way to not be a couple is separate and socialize with other people. Aside from allowing this joke to be repeated practically every day this week, I am not sure why they are not talking to people as single people.

Why can’t he just play along and go with it? Who cares what they think.

Well, Bets hasn’t shown up. Wondering if my wish for Bets to meet a cute guy helping her out with a flat tire and forgetting about the party was granted?? Like some said, to completely write Bets out of the strip would need some kind of closure so Bets has to show up and have a showdown with Gunther. I guess that will be next week.

Even if Bets doesn’t actually see them “hugged up,” there’s a darn good chance she’s gonna see that pic, maybe even posted online.

Actually, I couldn’t blame Bets this time around because Luann is certainly the Hotest most curvaceous attendee at party. And I’m sorry, but looking at panel two, that ain’t all “padding.”

And while it’s unlikely that Lu-Gun will ever be a real “couple,” here’s hoping that she continues to remain very friendly with Gunther AFTER Bets dumps him again.

The misunderstanding continues and everyone is sure that Luann and Gunther are a couple. But what amazes me is that Tiffany invited Stef to the party. She definitely did it because she wanted Kip to come. Stef is dressed as Barbie and he will probably be dressed as Ken, so now there’s one Ken for two Barbies… which is pretty funny and symbolic. However, Luann continues to be the reasonable one in the duet and understands what’s going on. I think the solution will be to ignore what other people think.

If Gun and Lu aren’t a couple then why are they together all the time? Maybe they don’t know they’re a couple.

Betts won’t either.

So, the pic makes it to the net where Bets lives and the real fun begins. Like who’s the blonde. “I knew you two where cheating all along…”. Well, perhaps you shouldn’t left in the first place, going off into some crazy adventure alone. Leaving your man to the wolves is never a good thing and expect him to still be around. Especially if you claim that he’s “The One…”.

It’s getting a little weird when even notoriously self-absorbed Stef is cooing over Gunther and Luann arriving to the party together like they’re a glamorous couple.

Though I can’t help but point out how the “doth protest too much” thing is blatant. “Roald Dahl” and “Dolly Parton” are literally getting physically closer together by the panel. If they, I dunno, hung out at the party separate of each other it might quell the gawkers. I mean their costumes hardly match, but look at panel 2 and 3, they’re literally smooshed right up close on each other.

Also kudos to Greg and Karen for the costume ideas for Les and Stef. It’s so Les to go as GI Joe, I feel like it’s in his nature to try to look like a manly dude at the doll themed costume party. And on the opposite end we have Stef trying to out-do Tiffany at her own party by dressing as Barbie but in the tight spandex roller-skate outfit from the movie. 100% if we see Kip he’s going to be Ken. I wonder if he’ll match Stef or wear something from the Margot Robbie film that doesn’t match since he’s trying to distance himself from Stef.

I don’t know what Tiffany was serving, but Luann just gained ten pounds!

Has Luann ever met Stef before? Gunther knows her from Bets being roommates with Stefi. They might have briefly met at the fair when Tiffany and Kip were selling Tea. But I don’t recall them ever having a conversation.

I don’t get it, they show up at the party holding hands and are glued to each other, but then don’t understand when everyone thinks they’re a couple. By the way where is the party pooper – Bernice?

Maybe it’s time for Bets to show up and give this alleged couple a piece of her mind.

Also you know Stef’s going to post the photo and tag it with their names and caption the photo saying Gunther and Luann stepped into the party hand-in-hand and were inseparable the whole time. Let’s be real, she wouldn’t even have to be lying/exaggerating about that!

Gunther gloated about Bets’ followers unsubscribing from her channel in droves when he stopped showing up in her vlogs (I still kinda doubt it). He was insinuating the followers thought it reflected poorly on Bets and took his side. If those millions of Bets followers/fans saw the picture it would swing public perception and they’d call out Gunther for being a two-timer and you know they’d say some unsavory things about Luann because it’s the internet (and given for sexist stereotyping online, her being in a padded up costume would make it worse).

Speaking of the DEVIL, in she walks. Wonder if dick head, I mean Kippy is next?

At least Gunther is standing up for himself. He sure has grown in confidence to some degree, although, I think he let’s Bets walk all over him. She is not good for him, she’s really not good for anyone, I don’t mean that in a bad way, she has a go-getter personality that will leave any relationship partner in the dust. She’s more interested in results and progress than stability and relationship. The world needs people like her, but partners looking for a healthy relationship do not.

Thus far, since Bernice’s “experiment”, all of the neglected college-age characters have made a cameo appearance to speak a few lines, except Kip. And he must be waiting in the wings. (Tara and Piro had their turn earlier.)

Why are GnK having all the characters come out and take a bow? Is it a curtain-call for the strip, or are GnK just trying to introduce a little more variety into the strip?

It shouldn’t be a surprise that Bets didn’t show up yet. I was surprised that Steph showed up. Two reasons: Tiff invited her hoping Kip shows up with her or G&K needs even more tension to build before Bets shows up. On the other hand, maybe she wasn’t invited, just heard about the party and decided to show. We can expect that next week will be all about Bets. Will she stay in town or leave for good? Also, where is Bernice?

Still no Bernice??? Could she actually be Raggedy Ann in total cover up disguise?

Great. All you need to convince people you are a couple is to start arguing in public about not being a couple. :)

A Quick Note:

Fans are quick to criticize Gunther for making it repeatedly clear that he and Lu are not a “couple.”

But give the guy some credit. He’s trying hard to remain loyal to his “girlfriend”(?) Bets. Even in the face of TREMENDOUS temptation in the form of luscious Luann.

Whether Bets deserves such loyalty is a matter of opinion.

But remember. Bets has often complained about all the lying and cheating Exes in her life. And I suspect that Gunther might be added to the list.

I find it hard to believe that anyone who knows Gunther and LuAnn would consider them a couple. There isn’t that type of chemistry between them. Good, longtime friends, yes. A romantic pair, no. Just my opinion.

Can Greg Evans explain to us here how Gunther is supposed to be the “ideal” guy? Never getting out of his bubble, getting defensive and angry, lacking social skills, and being in denial about what is so obvious to others? Greg said that he based Gunther on some boy who had a crush on Karen when she was younger, but not even she would have put up with such a dweeb. And Gunther is a dweeb in every sense of the word.

Gunther, if you don’t want to be seen as part of a couple, go stand next to some other people and socialize with them as well!
