I love Ora Zella’s list. All damage gear. Iggy is equally cute whistling while attempting to “acquire” some cookies? Thumbprint cookies maybe? But Burt wins for his snarky chyron, again. No way she’s been good enough for a chainsaw indeed! But here’s hoping Santa gives her one anyway.

…if it was anyone else, I’d think Iggy was sneaking a cookie, but I think he’s lining them up instead. Cutie!

Cookies and milk for Santa? It’s a bit early for that. I made a number of promises to Mom before she died, and one of them was to stay away from chainsaws. There are some things OZ and I shouldn’t handle.

I’d trust Ralphie with a Red Ryder BB sooner than I would Ora Zed with any and all items of mass destruction.

…Hammer? …Knife? What else?..

When it comes to naughty-or-nice, cats (and dogs) are exempt from all lists. Besides, Ora Zella has been plenty good enough for the Swiss Army deluxe chain saw-axe-drill-flamethrower-knife combo!

Meanwhile, I’m swooning over a whole paw full of Pucky toe beans and the adorable fang/tail poof combo on Ms. Chainsaw.

He is really trying to concentrate on “A Christmas Carol.” He must be reading about one of the Christmas ghosts.

Ora Zella could try changing tactics and ask Santa for a nice quiet little book to improve her mind. She should ask for a copy of The Big Book of Mischief.

Iggy, if you want to wind up a Squirrel, just go to the window and insult one. And don’t swipe too many cookies or Mince pies.

Out of curiosity, just how good would Ora Zella have to be before Santa brings her a chainsaw? Is that actually possible?

Reminds me of when me and my sisters would scout that Sears Wish Book and mark the pages for mom and dad \to see all the cool things we wanted for X-Mas. My Dad also let us look at a Radio Shack catalog but the only requests from it were some cool “Flavoradios”, My sister and I also got a cool rocket set (Estes) a couple of times back in the late ’70s as my Dad had a very cool thing with rockets: as my Dad was an industrial engineer who was a liaison for Raytheon with MacDill AFB with occasional trips to McCoy (now MCO Orlando International) and Patrick AFB by Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center over on the East Coast. Man I miss him, and Mom as well as Grandma Hannah, I miss them a lot at times…… It has been a long time since I heard their laughs and got some cool advice from them…. Still, in 2023 and as long as I am alive, I am happy and will be happy to make life the best for my wife Sabrina and my daughter Amy..

Hubby gave me my present just before he went to bed. Starter Villain by John Scalzi! He really does love me.

So a few years ago I thought it might be funny to get my sister a toy chainsaw for Christmas. We had joked a bit about it as she is very much not the kind of person who one would associate with a chainsaw. With this in mind I went looking for a toy chainsaw.

And I couldn’t find one. Anywhere. It was annoying. Still, it was a gag gift, so I wasn’t too worried about it until I ended up in one of those discount tool stores. And there, for like 50 bucks was a REAL, electric chainsaw. I thought about it and said the hell with it and bought her an actual chainsaw.

The funny bit though was a week later I found a toy chainsaw. It cost $60. The real thing was cheaper than the toy!

Worked out later as we had a big branch come out of our tree and she got to use the chainsaw on it.

How do these stories keep getting better and cheerier every day? So grateful for BCN artwork and stories, and this Orb!

I ask Santa for a flame thrower every year too. Never get one. Friend has the same problem. We would console each other at work after Christmas every year when we worked together.

I remember when I asked my dad for an electric drill for Christmas. He was shocked. LOL
