Darrin Bell (2019 Pulitzer) is in Sacramento jail for possessing child videos. His editorial cartoons, Rudy Park, and Candorville are gone from this site. Hopefully they can treat his Trump Derangement Syndrome.
IMO, it is a gross insult to the memory of a great man and leader that it is also the inauguration day of a rodent who is the anathema of everything Dr. King believed in!
Too many Americans have an insane belief in superheroes. Maybe it’s a problem with the English language? Biased in a weird way to the negative? We all know what crime is, so it’s easy to imagine someone who does enough crime becomes a criminal, then a supercriminal, and finally a supervillain. So there must be a superhero to balance it out?
Why? What’s the opposite of “crime”? No easy word for the opposite concept. It’s easy to think of examples of supervillains who have killed lots of people. Some of them lived to ripe old ages, too. But superheroes? Not so much… Notwithstanding the pictures of the orange buffoon in cape and spandex.
Well it could have been Rapist, Racist, Insurrectionist, Fraudster, Demented, Pathological Liar of the Year. (Your ordering may vary and sorry if I missed any.)
Reagan began the era of de-regulation and tax cuts, and carried the banner leading the counter-attack against the New Deal (and the Middle Class). After his mega-parties tomorrow, trump will mop up, cutting funding, eliminating the last safety nets we have. No more checks and balances in this country for the next four years (or more!). One-party rule will entrench themselves for a long time.
I’m surprised that Trudeau didn’t pick a bigger problem that poor ol’ Donny is facing. Since he is now a convicted and sentenced felon he can no longer hold a liquor license in NJ. Hopefully the laws in NJ are written such that the holder of a liquor license cannot associate with a convicted felon. I wonder what FL’s liquor license laws say?

It looks like there is finally a cease-fire in Gaza, and the hostages will be released. Will GT do a Sunday strip on this event?

This is what America has elected. I’ve never been more ashamed for my country.

Remember, the war criminal mostly consonants and hardly any vowels is fiction , whereas the traitor Trump is real.

…and here we go with the nonsense. Four years of pointless idiocy from the man whose career is even LESS relevant than Joe Biden’s: Garry Trudeau.

With all the eligible voters removed from the polls and unable to vote, it’s no wonder this abomination of a human being was able to be elected.

The magat comments about this cartoon will likely be bitter criticism of the cartoonist with NO substantive comment about the point of the cartoon.
Like always.

Etymologically ‘man’ is a person. The sexes were ‘wif’ and ‘were’.

“T-reasoning” – a useful neologism to describe a cluster of narcissistic cognitive distortions by low people in high places.
