Mrs. Horner seems to have seen a spark…but Luann’s still ambivalent. This is like the time she had to sit at a table with Ox for Bernice’s project, and neither of them had a thing to say to each other.

I wouldn’t say inspires talk. Nightmares maybe, but not talk.

So is Nil somehow related to Ann Eyefull? (yes, I know that’s not how she spells it, but that is Greg’s gag.)

I have no idea how anyone claimed those are not Nil’s eyes. The artwork being of Nil is the whole point.

Hear me out: Look at Panel 3. It’s possible that Phil just grabbed Luann’s thigh with his left hand. Thus, Luann’s expression.

Why is Luann looking to see if we’re watching?

The answer is NO! Nils artwork does not inspire conversation.

Looks like she’s gonna leave these two lovebirds alone.

The awkwardness that both must be feeling right now does not help the conversation. maybe Mrs. Horner went too far in letting Phil know that Luann likes him, but otherwise Luann would have continued to say nothing. She certainly did the right thing by leaving them alone. Let’s hope one of them says something.

No. It lacks imagination.

An A+ for Mrs. Horner’s efforts to get the two youngsters to talk. She did everything she could but reach out and move their lips to get them to start a conversation.

So far it inspires The Sound of Silence.

I can’t stand most modern art. I think the only conversation those would get out of me is “Seriously!!”.

Considering there are so many photos of just his eye – has he got the camera the wrong way round when taking the shot?

I take back every criticism I’ve ever made if tomorrow’s strip shows them in an awkward “morning after” situation in Phil’s bed. Please, no more of this junior-high-level drama. These characters are supposed to be adults, so it’d be nice if they acted like it.

You know how they talk about portraits that follow you around the room? well…

Sometimes art inspires silence. I have seen some pieces that leave me speechless.

Looking at Nil’s eyes made Phil’s eyes disappear. At least in panels 2 & 3. :D :P

Oh good grief, we’ve mutated into a bad Sex & the City episode. The pretend adventures of supposed career women that are really just boy crazy 40 somethings followed by boy crazy 60 somethings ! ;-)

No one seems to have said this, but when I first saw the cartoon I assumed that Luann was very slightly closer to Phil; hence Luann looking at “us” to see if we noticed that?

Isn’t Phil a little too reserved for Luann? He seems like the not so strong silent type to me.
