I went out, strictly as friends only, with a good friend (who happened to be male). After a while we realised that we were more than just good friends…been married nearly forty years now. Best friendship ever!

So Tiffany is not going to do anything to get Bets and Gunther back together. Also Tiffany is very delusional if, based on one dessert she things Luann and Gunther are a couple. Has she forgotten that last 35 years when they were very definitely not a couple. On the other hand, costume party! (Unless this is another ill-fated attempt to seduce Kip….)

How long will it take before Gunther is back in costume-making mode and then collapses in sorrow because he realizes his true purpose in life was to costume Bets?

At least Tiff would make for a better looking “Curvy Barbie” than Amy Schumer. Seriously, who the frog thought it was good idea to cast her as Barbie before we got a much better choice with Margot Robbie?

Ok, weird question. How is Tiff still “curvy” while waiting tables? The only times I’ve waitressed, I lost a ton weight due to constantly being on my feet. But this may be one of Pitsvilles cosmic quirks, like it’s economy and slow growth teenagers.

Tiffany’s come a long way. Who’d think she would ever try to get her archnemesis a guy or that she’d be proud and happy to describe herself as curvy.

Doll-O-Ween, huh. I actually think that’s a really cute idea. There’s so many looks to choose from and it wouldn’t break the bank to recreate an iconic doll look just using stuff you’d have lying around or stuff you could find at a thrift store for 10 bucks max.

I wonder if the pics from the party will end up on Bets’ social media feed or if she’ll get miffed if she sees Luann and Gunther dressed costumes that go together. Though, Tiff is giving them a good suggestion for potential plausible deniability… Jessie and Woody are just friends. Woody/Bo Peep and Jessie/Buzz are the ones that get paired off.

Why don’t you announce the next arc in Big Red Letters. Liann and Gunthers Big Date and Assorted Mishaps.

Actually, if you don’t put a limit (as in years and years) on foreshadowing, those two very well may be a couple in this strip.

Tiff the matchmaker at it again. Her record is actually pretty good. She got Gunth and Bets together…kinda.

Luann and Gunther really make a good couple. They have always been friends and it is cute how they are making sure not to call this a date. This has the makings of a Hallmark movie. Instead of a novella we will need a script. Start thinking which actors will play who. After the movie is released we add some musical numbers and it is on to Broadway.

See? Even Gunther acknowledges that he and Luann AREN’T a “couple.” Just “friends.” So the “Nervous Nellies” can Re-Lax.

And thanks to Tiff, Gunny and Luann might get out and actually have a little safe fun for a change, as opposed to screaming their heads off all the way to the ground while sky-diving.

Maybe this is Tiffany’s perfect plan to get Bets back from her trip. Luann and Gunther will go to the friends’ party dressed as the protagonists of “Green Eggs and Ham”, Tiffany will share photos and videos with a group of which Bets will “accidentally” be part of, Bets will think that the two are together and jealousy will take over her once again. From Tiffany you can expect somethings like this! I wonder if Bernice will be invited to the party. She and Nil could dress up as Daria and Jane, or Leonadro and Monnalisa.

News flash, Tiffany! Woody and Jessie are siblings, not lovers. I think you should ask them to dress up as Woody and Bo Peep instead.

As can oft be the case with the book-smart, they are usually among the last to see the signals and read the room. Luann seems open to the idea of exploring via dating Gunther. Gone is the revulsion of adolescence. Next, we’ll probably have Bernice weigh in on this pairing. Her take on it could go either way, spawning years of love-triangle drama. Then again, this just might be the start of the endgame I’ve predicted for a very long time. I almost want to start a betting pool on when the firsERRRR, next intense kiss happens between L&G. Gunther will have to do a deep dive into his own feelings soon.

it actually IS perfect because Woody and Jessie looked great next to each other but weren’t a couple. Woody was with Bo-Peep and Jessie was with Buzz, even though they were a matching set they never had romantic intent.

Why is everyone so eager to throw Luann away by insisting that she is nothing more than part of a couple with Gunther? She should have a chance at a career of her own, and a possibility of a life with someone who is more ‘everyday normal’, like Jack, instead of a techie person like Gunther?
