Go girl go! And then get the heck out of here… though I get the feeling her woman is going to be what they get instead of animal control. Mostly because i’m not 100% certain this town HAS traditional animal control given Tommy’s woman tends to be the one to show up when they would.

I had been thinking that Sophie’s distraction might be enough to make the Tidy Woman throw her out … which as awful as that would normally be, is just what we need.

Sophie, you go, girl! Find the china cabinet! And the one where the pots and pans are stored! And if they have a fridge with a water dispenser, flood that kitchen!

I wonder, if Tommy and Sophie’s Woman answers the Animal Control call, if she’ll recognize Sophie’s most recent installation.

i am a little surprised that the maple syrup and squeeze bottles are out, but maybe she opened cabinet doors?

That Awful Woman is going to have a stroke when she sees this. She’ll be so busy cleaning she won’t notice the gang is long gone.

I think the fourth panel is my favourite! I love the thought of mustard and ketchup covering those white walls and floor! :D Every panel is havoc and joy unbridled!

Roy is def better. He saw “Puddin Pop” (we call him that bc we think he is the father of Puddin’ a stray kitten we rescued late last year and was adopted by Barb’s ex) a local friendly (to me) feral who comes around a few times a week for pets and feeding. Roy is very jealous of him and started growling. Final proof, he is back to “normal” but still weaker and now lack night vision (Did he have a small stroke?). Poody has an appointment with our new (old) local vet at Sullivan County Animal Hospital Thursday afternoon. She seems OK with syringe feeding for the most part (puréed baby food meats) and is purring when I hold her. She has been sleeping on my dirty work clothes in a laundry basket. I feel terrible for her, that she is suffering.

That house isn’t going to be white anymore.

Sophie is rising all the way from victim to “Living Legend!” You go, Sophie!!!

This chaotic glee is certainly reminiscent of other familiar cats. More than that, it’s fun!

OMC!! Sophie is marvelous and this strip is an instant classic.

After all that time cooped up in that carrier, called the wrong name, and taken from her home, this chaos must feel so good. Let it all out, Sophie!!

I like the detail w/ the musical notes & broken hearts so we can imagine the (copyrighted) music playing as Sophie creates her messterpiece.

I’d love to see some before/after photos of that room. Cats will make a place look lived in and loved. It’s too bad the Tidy Woman will never understand this. Hopefully, after Sophie’s done expressing herself, the TW will NEVER be tempted to bring another four-legger into her home again!

Ah, the majesty and awe (or is that shock and awe?) of Sophie’s magnum opus! The color! The texture! The combination of scattered cutlery, shattered glass and pottery, sticky and easily-spread materials! And she hasn’t even gotten to the paper towels, napkins, or toilet paper yet! The potential for pawprints EVERYWHERE! Visual proof that The ceiling is a floor if you believe!

I’m glad Sophie is having a smashing good time. She deserves it.

Shortly after we moved into this house when I was a kid, my mom was bringing in the groceries and the paper bag was a bit damp. The bottom of the bag split and a bottle of syrup broke on the living room carpet and soaked through the carpet and the padding all the way to the subfloor. For years, my mother tried to get it cleaned, even trying steam cleaning on more than one occasion, but nothing would get the sticky out. It might look clean for a few days, but then it would attract dirt. She finally got the chance to have it replaced after the water heater guys had a mishap when they removed her old water heater.

Panel 2–the unadulterated glee on that sweet face makes me sooo happy!

My next door neighbor who has at least one cat has died. He was quite old and an ambulance had been called for him at least once before the final time this week.

Now it may actually be his wife’s cat, based on when I had to tell him his cat had died about 20 years ago. His reaction seemed more like she’s not going to be happy.

This strip is such a joy to look at. I haven’t been able to comment until now, but I saw it this morning and smiled for ages just thinking about it. What fun Sophie is having, at last!

…gotta say, everyone who’s so thrilled about the Tidy Woman having to clean this up is overlooking the fact that there’s almost certainly some underpaid regular house cleaner who’s about to get hit with a really nasty job. (Whoever they are, I hope they quit!)

Can this be a wraparound coffee mug design? I don’t even drink coffee (or most hot drinks, actually), and I’d buy that.

Sophie in this strip reminds me so much of Lupin in the May 12, 2019 strip!

There’s a new computer game in which you play as a little black kitty who has to make its way back home to an apartment several stories up. Very cute and wholesome from what I can tell—cartoony and no real danger (unlike the game Stray, which is excellent but does have some scary moments and a dangerous enemy). Anyway, the game—“Little Kitty, Big City”— lets you knock things off edges as much as you like—very cat-approved, lol =D
